We could talkAlder said as he turned To the man with the hat. But your friend over there seems pretty keen on a fight. Alder Motions to Gary.  You grab what you can and ill guard the door, we split what you fit in the bag got it?  Alder looked at the man with bronze armor Lets talk then shall we?

Yes, he wasn't surprised to learn that the elf was not interested in money, that he preferred a good fight instead.  The lich was oddly amicable, though.  Perhaps he had gotten through to the undead man?  That might make things easier, or at least it would make them more interesting.  A confused purveyor of magic was like an avalanche waiting to happen. Anyone could get hurt, and weirdly enough...that made life a little easier for Gary.  The man with the talismans stepped forward and seemed keen to handle them both while he filled up a large swag sack.  That did not seem entirely wise, so let us alter that slightly, hmm?

"I'll begin the loading while you 'dance' with these gentlemen, but let us change partners midway.  I would not wish for you to have all the fun."

The goblin let off a grin at the statement and pulled out his sack once he was in the vault.  The money would be the first in, for him.  All that fancy scepter stuff was hard to fence, at times, though jewels were acceptable.  Gary got to work, eagerly anticipating the sound of blades or magic being casted to hint upon his ears.  Oh, and incidentally, should anyone think of shutting the vault on him as a means of keeping him contained, blocking it from opening up with their own weight or something, Gary had jammed it open by inserting one of those sceptor things into the hinge area.  It never hurts to make sure.

Scorpio The Scarf

Scorpio toyed with his knife, balancing it on his palm then throwing it playfully among himself. He eyed the men around him, and raised an eyebrow, adjusting his long, red scarf.
"Not like any of you would stand a chance."
He bowed slightly while smirking, his bright teal eyes glimmering in the combination of the candles and the moonlight.
"Nay, if I were drunk on gin and had my arm tied behind my back, I could stand a chance against both you at once."
Scorpio then straightened his stance and raised his head up high, looking to the ceiling.
"Not to be rude, that is, but I am simply stating fact."
Snarky? Yes. Overconfident? Maybe. But impolite? Never.

Nomax was still not sure what side he was supposed to be on. Truth be told, he would rather just dissapear from this city and let the other men figure this out on their own, but it was a little bit to late for that.

"How about we all take a cut, and then we forget about this", he said while backing up to the unconscious guard sitting in the chair. If he was attacked, he could kill the guard then reanimate him and make him hold off the thieves while he fled the area.

Gawfy

Alder smiled under his Mask. As the man with the knife spoke. You Are either very brave or very stupid. Alder then Took out a Paper from his left leg with a flourish. Pulverizing lions strength He said as his arms started glowing in Runes as the magical aura burst around him.  I would love too Bronzey but he seems keen on a fight. Alder wasnt sure what the man backing up was going to do, But he didnt have to fight long or hard , just buy time enough for Gary to get enough cash then skedaddle

More-or-less engrossed in his work, Gary began to hum his own theme song as he put the gold into his sack.  Even doing so, he was beginning to strategize on the dealing with the folks outside.  He could still hear everything, so his mind began to work on the problem.  It looked as though the other thief and the skeleton weren't going to be an issue.  The elf, however...  He was an elf, and therefore had a great physique to accompany his battle prowess.  He didn't seem like he knew any magic, although there was no proof of this.  If given a chance, it seemed like the other two might fight him and indeed give him an out.  However, these people...  He just met them.  You can't base people's actions on merely the last few minutes.  He needed something more certain, like a surefire way to handle the elf, say.

Wait a minute...

Gary's mouth spread out into a big grin now.  He couldn't help but snigger mischeivously at the thought.  Yes...the elf.  Alder would probably suffer, as well, but maybe not the undead man.  Depends on what sound vibration does to his bone structure, really.  Suffice to say, Gary filled his big burly sack and came strolling out of the treasure vault with it tied to his back.  And then he pulled out a small container with a tight stopper keeping it shut.  He uncorked the thing and-

EEEEEHHHRRRYYYOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!

A terrible sound, a hideously-loud noise, filling the halls and broadcasting itself with such horrid ferocity that those in range would suffer tremendous pain and possibly pass out!  Gary had unleashed the Essense of Mandrake, and there was an elf in proximity.  Gary himself had taken the nnecessary precautions, of course.  He had earplugs.  With this having been done, he closed the little bottle and hopped along, intending to get down the hall and meet his ride.  What do we mean?  Well...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

On a rooftop located outside of the place, something large stirred...and leapt.  It had eight legs and deadly fangs, and it had heard the signal to come.

Korvix

(so we act like he just poofed away until scorpio (the user) comes back, ok?)

Nomax only looked away for a second, and the elf had already dissapeared. Before he had time to react to that though, an ear-destroyingly loud sound appearad from the vault. Some kind of alarm? It didn't really matter what it was, the guards would come rushing in here any minute now if the sound doesn't stop them. Of course, he had no actual ears that could get hurt by the sound. Whatever happens now, things are going to get serious.

Elemental magic wasn't exactly his specialty, but trying to burn those cards the kid carried was a top priority. He cast a small bolt of fire using his left hand while using his right to unsheath his sword. He didn't want to have to murder him, but it may be the only option.

Gawfy

Alder grabbed the left side of his head as the noise echoed in his head. Alder then heard the steps of his comrade coming behind him. Gary what in the hell..  Alder was interrupted by the bolt of fire hitting his energy barrier. The Runes on his Chest sparking and crying like warping metal as they Blocked the heat from his body.  Alder threw his arms up in a cross in a defensive stance.

Wrathwyrm

Essence of Mandrake was something of a double-edged sword.  It was instantly effective on any creature capable of hearing, had a decent range, and could be protected from if one were to apply the earplugs quickly enough.  However, it had the effect of completely ruining all chances at stealth, plus the unprepared are staggered as much as the intended targets.  That said, Gary found the elf had vacated the area in a hurry and he'd gotten past the lich easily by way of him still being occupied.  Of course, he had also done harm to his current colleague.

"Yes, I see your point.  Quite unfair of me."

Since he was waiting for his mighty steed to make an appearance anyway, Gary did act upon the skeleton man while his back was turned.  The lich was drawing a sword and casting a bolt at Alder.  The goblin threw bolas at the undead one's legs.  Provided he was caught by it, the lich's legs would be tied together at a crucial moment, leaving him imbalanced and more vulnerable.  If the bolas happened to miss...well...they'd clatter along the floor without harming anything.  Worth a try, right?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Guards outside would have heard the noise from inside the building.  The party itself would have heard the noise and shuddered.  Guards inside were wondering where the hell that actually came from, what with the reverb and all, but they would soon think the answer was the vault.  However, back outside, the guards out there would suddely have a WTF moment as a giant spider hopped the perimeter walls annd charged across the courtyard!

Korvix

The bolas flew at him unnoticed, though luckely only hitting one of his legs since he was moving. As he was untangling the thing a guard came rushing in towards the thief that just blocked his magic, giving him time to step back from the combat for a second. Using magic in the guard's sight was not a very bright idea, since this is Connlaoth, and the guard was likely to turn on him. Nomax started walking while keeping his guard up against the thief, trying to encirle him with the help of his newfound ally. Now he just hoped the guard wasn't as incompetent as he looked.

Gawfy

Alder threw a punch at the guard as the Runes on his arms lit up. sending the man flying back with his armor crumpled, but not dead. Few broken ribs at the least. He said as he motioned to the man in bronze armor then back at himself. Show me what you got!

Wrathwyrm

The guard couldn't have been that great, since he failed to spot the masked goblin with the large swag bag as he passed by.  Gary was currently looking through his repertoire for something to use on the lich other than his sword and trusty daggers.  The guard had passed him while he was doing this because his bolas had kind of failed.  He had more, but he wanted to check on things first.

Knives, no.  Darts, no.  Poison?  Hah.

Alder struck the guard, and in the distance you might just hear some kind of loud commotion.  It sounded like it came from the direction of the party...

I could try smoke, but do his eyes even function?

He was just pulling out Dort and Zuruck, his daggers, when there was some heavy thudding and the sound of another guard being boweled over suddenly.  Around the corner now came a...wow, what a big spider.

"Ah, Concord!  There you are!  Webs, please."

The giant spider let off an acknowledging "Rargle." and shot a web-formed net at the skeleton man, which would be essentially like a tough and sticky net if impacted.
