Essyrn has a night-life, much like any other country.  Even so, the tavern had been in rare form, last night.  Great times, wild times...and that's all you remember, really.  So, what's with the dead bodies in the morning and all the guards surrounding the place?  What do you MEAN you don't remember killing twenty people?!  There's nobody left alive in here, but you!  The guards are pissed and don't really care how clean your weapons seem to be.  Several of their own had been in that night, and now those men are dead, as well.  The captain of the guard sneers as he pronounces everyone here slaves on the spot and hauls you away to the Colliseum to fight for the amusement of the free and law-abiding subjects of Essyrn.  He personally hopes you die, but not too quickly, for your crimes.

What is going on here?  Did you really murder over a dozen people in a drunken row or is this just one helluva setup?  And if it's the latter, who's the one behind it?  The captain of the guard?  The tavern owner?  An arch-nemesis that you don't even know about?  Questions for later, as you surely must survive long enough to ask them, possibly after escape, if you can manage it.  Find some way to prove your innocence or escape the desert in Death and Intrigue!

The thread in question.

Decided to just let fly, now that I got a starter.
