One year ago, a certain individual was bored, and unable to convince anyone in their vicinity to play a game of D&D with them. Since it seem impossible for these circumstance to change, this entity made a decision, to search the internet for a website of some kind where people could play together, since for some reason they felt that such a thing existed.

After a good hour of searching, they stumbled across a certain website, a place where a multitude of people posted on a forum, and responded to others posts, telling stories in this roundabout manner. This entity found this idea of interest, and soon made an account, and a few posts of their own. Time passed, and as they took part in countless of these stories, they found this manner of roleplaying greatly enjoyable.

But one day, as they sat down at their computer, they found themselves lost, the stories they once enjoyed now a buried under a darkness in the recesses of their mind. As this darkness expanded, they found themselves incapable of continuing much of that which they had been writing, and as their their posts grew fewer and fewer, they came to a realization.

They no longer found any meaning in this form of storytelling.
And as such, they left the website.

A year passed, and this entity once more stumbled upon the website, having now found a second site, but lost in the extensive waiting between posts. When they rejoined, and began putting together a new self to attempt their storytelling once more, an old partner whom they once joined in storytelling left them a message welcoming them back.

And so, having left for a year, the entity sat back, the rhythmic keys of its new laptop clicking, and once more enjoyed the storytelling it had returned to after so long.
