Set opened the door leading out, and ushered Ven through.  He went last, keeping one eye on their hosts.

"But the day and night last for predictable hours.  It's not that mad.  An unchanging twilight, now that is madness."

[Anonymous]

"It's not predictable at all! I'm told the amount changes with the seasons! Which! Speaking of those things, how can you handle all that?" Ven continued to be rather oblivious to their surroundings, wandering out of the house.

He winced at the light, lip curling back to reveal wicked fangs, "And everything is so bright! I mean really! It's all so uncivilized!"

"It changes predictably with the seasons.  Longer days in summer and shorter in winter.  There are even calendars that chart the exact times the sun will rise and set on any given day."

He smiled up at the blue sky, trailing his gaze down to where the horizon met the road.  "But it's only bright half the time."
