Character Plotters / Avelithe's Hodgepodge List
January 05, 2023, 11:56:03 AM
At-A-Glance

  • Commissioned
    Alkereth, the Harbinger
Alkereth is a paradox born from an incomprehensible dimension. Not human, but made up of the stuff from other worlds, bequeathed with puzzling abilities. He is almost always astride Lunrath. Realmwalkers both, bound eternally to follow the dark path.

  • Einar, the Hermit
A lonely man living a hermetic life in the cold tundra. Not a true wolf, but a halfbreed. This fact led to becoming an outcast. It suits him well enough. In this way, he may freely help lost souls navigate the treacherous tundras with his excellent survival skills.

  • Commissioned
    Jaxamir, the Mercenary
Jax was an anointed Knight for the Kingdom of Serendipity for many long years, but his penchant for war crimes and general bad behavior quickly took his reputation into a steep nosedive. Now he is sentenced to serve under the Mercenary Guild.

Wanderers and Independents / Jaxamir, the Mercenary
January 03, 2023, 08:59:05 AM

......................Name: Jaxamir Harlo
......................Age: 35
......................Gender: Male
......................Species: Human?
......................Ethnicity: Ambiguous, unknown
......................Height: 6'5"
......................Occupation:
  • Mercenary: Need cargo delivered safely? A bodyguard to take an arrow for you? A troublesome politician intimidated? Jaxamir will do all your dirty work for the right price.

Residence: Jaxamir is too restless to stay in one place for long, but he will frequent inns and brothels to rest between work. His base of operations is the Mercenary Guild that serves Her Majesty the Queen of Serendpity. While the members are welcome to freelance, they are still limited in what they can do due to the Guild's creed sanctioned by the Crown.

⬺ • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • ⤕

Physical Description: This man is no gentleman. He favors a style suitable for his line of work. The upper class call it "old fashioned". Jax prefers élégance voyous. It is possible that he has a wardrobe dedicated for casual social experiences, but the 'refined gentleman' is not at all to his taste.
Human: Practically a human wall, Jaxamir boasts raw strength.
Dragon: He was a red dragon, once. For those that remember this know him to be fantastic and massive. But no longer. They say he is cursed.

Personality: A rough history developed Jaxamir to be miserly and contemptible, preferring the company of women for cheap comfort and beer after a day's toil. His vices are what caused him to be banned from some public spaces. Watch your precious jewels and metals.

Magic/Abilities: There's something off about him, just under the surface of what he is. There is the faintest trace of magic surrounding him to those sensitive enough to identify it.

Relationships: If she has a pretty face, you can count on Jax acting a damn fool in front of her. Beware, she has the risk of getting her heart broken by this cad.

History: Jax was an anointed Knight for the Kingdom of Serendipity for many long years, but his penchant for war crimes and general bad behavior quickly took his reputation into a steep nosedive. Now he is sentenced to serve under the Mercenary Guild. Despite their tight hold on Jaxamir, they cannot do much for his brain, but they are hard pressed not to let his invaluable training go to waste in a prison cell. While he suffers avoidance and rebuke from the general populace, there is no denying his ability to get a job done quickly and efficiently. Honestly, his strength was his only saving grace.

⬺ • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • ⤕

INNATE ABILITIES

  • SUPER STRENGTH: Outstanding strength; able to lift several times his own weight. He can punch incredibly hard, but as a foe wearing heavy armor, he is slow.
  • DURABILITY: Able to withstand severe blows.
  • LOWLIGHT/DARK VISION: Can see in pitch darkness.
  • DETECT MAGIC: The ability to detect magical energy, whether from an object, a place, or person.
  • MAGICAL BLOOD: Immune to a vampire or were's infectious bite.

These abilities have considerably weakened or is no longer applicable as a human. They are mostly gained in dragon form.
  • BREATH WEAPON 1: A stream of fire that can extend 80 feet.
  • BREATH WEAPON 2: Can spew pools of smoky black tar-like acid.
  • ILLUSION: Can cast an illusion on an area, object, or a willing person for up to three days. Useful as a form of disguise, or hiding hoards.
  • SHAPESHIFT: The ability to shift into an animal form, or human.
  • IMPENETRABLE: In dragon form, Jax is far more durable. Non-magical objects cannot penetrate his thick, scaly armor. Magical weapons have more of an edge than any sword. Some non-magical objects can render his wings useless, however.
  • IMMUNITY: Jax cannot be burned by fire.
  • HEALING: Bathing in a pool of lava or cast in an inferno can heal even the most brutal wounds. The more severe, the longer the healing process.

WEAKNESSES

  • WATER: Fine to drink, harmless to bathe in, but for some reason, water summoned from magical users hates him.
  • ICE: Just as bad as water, but colder. It makes him feel incredibly weak and tired.
  • SPEED: Most capable of running fast and evading him only serves to annoy if he can't hit them.

More coming soon.

⬺ • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • ⤕

INVENTORY

Dragon Broach
Jaxamir carries upon his person a gold brooch molded into the likeness of a
dragon, encircling a ruby that seems to harness fire. Those able to detect
magic can sense that this object is cursed, harboring the soul of a powerful
dragon trapped inside. It pulses like a beating heart.
Commissioned

Dragon's Bite
A greatsword kept within its hilt unless such a time comes for it to be used.
This weapon has tasted blood from many enemies. It was forged from the fang
of a dragon, and when used, grows hot to the touch.
Commissioned

COMPANIONS

Brimstone, Jaxamir's stallion. An old war horse trained to charge stubbornly into battle. He will only answer to his master.

Einar reveled in his fortunes. While standing in the corner of the snowing market square, he admired the iron barbed arrowheads he could not produce himself, a miniature painting of a nude lady, an old bone flute that he could not play but found lovely, and a beautifully crafted studded leather belt. Einar traded a batch of his deerskin pelts for all of these. The generous items was practically a steal, but the trader looked eager for the perfectly cut hide Einar had skinned himself.

He placed his precious items in his pack, and walked across the square to the Snowbird Tavern. It had a painted sign of a white bird with a sprig of hops in its beak, promising both natives and travelers alike that delightfully frothy beer was always on the menu. The tender scent of spiced pig teased and tantalized the ol' sniffer, too.

The cold always had a way of bringing people closer together, and that is what the tavern was built for. Snowbird was the coziest and happiest place in this corner of the settlement, spearheaded by a plump, short, incredibly busty cougar of a woman that many called Lady Imp, and perhaps that is exactly what she was, in both looks and behavior. Whatever her species, she neither confirmed or denied what she was, but she had the respect of the people all the same. After all, the fireplace was always lit, the tavern alive with music and dance, and tummies that never stayed empty for long. Because business was so good, the price was right. The happiest place indeed!

Einar was one of the few that called the Snowbird's owner 'Little Bird'. It is what he greeted her with in his baritone as he entered, which earned him a cheeky wink from behind the bar. The friendly gesture was some times followed up with one free beer. It was inevitable—Einar preferred a low profile, but the call to meat and drink gained him a little notoriety. It was no big deal, really. He made the effort to stop in once a week after a good trade. Make acquaintances. Maybe even friends.

Unfortunately, hermits have a way of trailing rumors these days. Even though he gained some favor with Lady Imp, the same couldn't be said by the way some of the patrons looked around at Einar with a scowl. That's just the way it was with loners. It was always a tough way to live, especially when the nature of the wolf longed for a pack.

At least he had at least one guaranteed friendly face to look forward to that wasn't just the Lady's.

Hyoite / Einar, the Hermit

☼ MAN • BEAST • HERMIT ☼

A lonely man living a hermetic life in the cold tundra. Not a true wolf, but a
halfbreed. This fact led to becoming an outcast. It suits him well enough. In
this way, he may freely help lost souls navigate the treacherous tundras with
 his excellent survival skills.

......................Name: Einar Meaning: alone, warrior
......................Age: 34
......................Gender: Male
......................Species: Human, wolf shifter
......................Ethnicity: ???
......................Height: 6'1"
......................Occupation: None

Residence: Sionad Tundra, Northern Le'raana. Einar lives in a quaint little cabin that frequently smells of smoking meat and fire. The cabin is usually always covered in thick layers of snow, looking nothing more than a misshapen snow bank from far away, but there is no mistaking the smoking chimney. It is a sight for sore eyes for those crossing the bitter tundra.

Physical Description: Both man and beast boast lean muscle gained from surviving the wilderness for several years.
Human: Physically fit fella with long, wavy sand-colored hair, often seen wearing thick furs and skins.
Wolf: At first glance, he seems wolf, but a trained eye will say it is not so. He is a mutt, both wolf and dog of an ambiguous breed. Both of his parents are human shifters whose love was notorious and taboo.

Personality: Generally cheerful disposition in the company of others, but when left to his own devices yields a different story. He keeps his shifting ability a secret.

Relationships: N/A

History: Discover for yourself in roleplay. ;)

Plot Hooks/Seeking
Some plot ideas and hooks to get a roleplay going. If you think your character
might fit in any one of these, HMU! Otherwise, I am always excited to hear your
 own!

  • Lost Soul
Einar finds a lonely wanderer on the tundra, either lost, or passed out from the cold.
  • Thief
Einar does not have much to call his own, but his little lonely cabin seems like a nice, cozy spot for someone to squat in. That roasting chicken over the fire looks mighty tasty, too. There's some lovely fur rugs that would sell for a pretty penny in the local markets. To make this even more tantalizing for a cold thief, the owner seems to be out at the moment.
  • Past Acquaintances
People come and go. Your character is welcome to know about Einar.
  • Family
It's possible that Einar has more family roaming around, whether they are wolves, dogs, or halfbreeds like him. Brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles... they're not well accounted for, and from what he remembers about his parents, they did not speak of them much.
  • Be A Nice Doggy...
Einar's wolf form has a lovely coat that would look just swell by the hearth. Or maybe the Missus long desired a new coat this past year. Why not appease her with an anniversary gift?
  • Got A Bone To Pick
The wolf is restless and would welcome a challenge, whether it's a friendly spar, or against some jerk threatening his way of living.

Wants and Limits / Avelithe's Wants and Limits
December 22, 2022, 03:02:45 PM
PLAYER WANTS

What are your favorite kinds of plots and relationships to play?
Relationships: Friendships, family, lovers, enemies, enemies-to-lovers, meetcute--I enjoy them all!
Plot: There is honestly not a single plot I don't enjoy. IC drama is my jam. Epic, laid-back, and anything in between!

What are your least favorite kinds of plots and relationships to play?
I rarely enjoy planning or shoehorning relationships. There are some exceptions, such as planning for past relationships, which makes for awesome backstories in my book. HMU to discuss!

What are your favorite character types to play?
Mine are usually an eclectic hodge podge of characters. I like to dabble in unusual personalities and benevolent monsters!

Are you a planner or a pantser? Do you prefer to pre-plan and stick to a script when posting, or do you prefer to surprise and be surprised?
It usually depends. I don't mind discussing a plot, but I'm not really a fan of talking about every aspect because then the plot gets boring. What's the point if I already know what's going to happen? I do like me some surprises!

How do you feel about group threads?
I love them! The only downside is that some times I might miss something important in large groups, so please be patient with me!

How often can you reply to any given thread? How long should a partner wait before nudging you for a post?
I have a basic understanding that irl > rp, period. I expect the same from my partner. Nothing drives me away from a roleplay faster than my partner pestering me to post, especially if it's only been a day. Roleplay should not feel like a chore for anyone! Roleplay will always be there, it's not going anywhere. That said, I generally reply very fast, but it depends on my situation. I tend to be busy during the day. I'll let you know!

What is the longest you're willing to wait for a reply to a thread?
I'm patient, but I do have limits. Some times I might lose steam on a roleplay if I must wait several months, to be honest (this is especially true if I'm in the middle of trying to get a plot going). Of course I'll happily talk to you about a roleplay if I feel like it might be going too slow, but do not mistake it as me trying to poke you to post. I may ask if we could "Let's Say" the rest of the roleplay so that I can move on with my character. I hope you understand that I am not doing this out of spite or ire! But I am big on communication. If you lose interest, just tell me! I swear I'm not going to be offended, I'm one of the most laid-back people I know! :D

How do you feel about instant messenger RP?
My Discord is always available! Ave#9907

How do you feel about post volleying/rapidfire RP?
Love it!

What's your preferred posting style? Long posts? Short posts? Anything and everything?
It depends. Sometimes my muse is absolutely glowing, and it shows when my posts are lengthy, but I do my best to keep things relevant. I promise to provide quality posts over quantity, no matter the size! My general rule of thumb is, as long as there is something to work with, then I'm happy.

Any RP styles/habits that you love?
A roleplayer's attention to detail of the characters involved. It honestly tickles me pink when a roleplayer acknowledges small details about my characters in a roleplay! I love doing the same, and have my characters react to those little things.

Any RP styles/habits that you avoid?
I suppose this is the same as 'pet peeves'. I've had experience before with some roleplayers who do not pull their weight in roleplay, and make it seem their character is just in it for the ride. While this is great in some cases, when I start noticing that a roleplayer cannot be bothered to put forth a little effort and wants me to do all the work, I lose interest. If you're stuck on what to do, let's talk about it! Maybe we can work something out, or just Let's Say the rest if you're unsure.

PLAYER LIMITS

What are you limits regarding powerplay/godmoding?
I'm a firm believer that in character actions = in character consequences. Feel free to teach my characters a difficult lesson, but please talk to me about character death first, and of course I will do the same!

What are your limits in regards to romantic situations?
I very much prefer for romantic relationships to form naturally. I'm not opposed to it, in fact some of the best plots in the past involved romantic relationships. I would prefer it not to take over their existence--that said, let's make plots happen over romance. Relationships are fun to navigate, for they are not always perfect. Not opposed to break-ups, either. Hit me with them feels!

What are your limits with regards to graphic content such as sex, violence, drug use, sexual assault, etc? What is your comfort level?
  • No to sexual assault of any kind.
  • Roleplaying sex and suggestive themes is okay, but I do not want it to take over our roleplay experience. I may ask to fade to black.
  • GIMME VIOLENCE. Tasteful violence, preferably. Just nothing too hardcore, and we're golden!

What are your limits in regards to pregnancy within plots?
  • Pregnancy with plot is fine.
  • Accidental pregnancy is fine.
  • Forced pregnancy is a hard no.
  • I am sensitive about miscarriages, but if we want to do it, just say it happened and do not be graphic about it.

What about healing?
Generally fine with it. Give me a heads up first, thanks!

What about characters being transformed against their will?
Please talk to me about this. I am not entirely opposed to the idea, but I'm also not particularly fond of it being sprung up on me in roleplay, so I prefer someone to broach it with me first.

Anything else?
I have ADD, so I apologize in advance if I forget something. A little patience would help me out! My posts are far from perfect. Since I type on mobile a lot, chances are I'm going to have grammar and spelling mistakes! I try to keep my writing as coherent as possible because I strive to make  my storytelling enjoyable, engaging, and easy to understand. I do not care if my rp partner make mistakes in their posts. :)
I am a pretty laid back and easy going veteran roleplayer of over twenty years. I first started roleplaying in fantasy wolf roleplay guilds on Neopets.com that moved to Proboards. It was called Shinkou Ookami. Thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day today! HMU with all your plot ideas! Let's throw our characters together and see what happens!

The Night the Fire Fell
aka "I F***** The Mage Out Of Him"

The night sky had a curious star that did not belong. It trespassed and warped the constellation it danced in. The star was faint, at first. And it moved, increasing in size as the planet ensnared it. Perhaps an eager astronomer would hastily reach for their instruments to gaze upon the curious speck of light sailing through the inky night. Mages might even take this opportunity as a sign for strengthened spellcraft. Lovers in the sleepy fields might even wish upon it. Dogs howled. Children gaped. Others could only look at the phenomenon with wonder: was this a sign from the gods?

Uncertainty gripped the spectators as they watched the star come hurling towards them at alarming speed. The colors it emitted were not natural. It effused a burst of blue and white, too peculiar to be a genuine meteor, but for the more simple-minded, that is all it was. They gasped as it ignited their sky with blinding light, the world momentarily resembling midday. It barely struck the mountain like a flash of lightning, then disappeared over the horizon, and was gone. Night returned to its tranquil state.

Early morning had come when some of the denizens of the local town excitedly made preparations to brave the valleys in an attempt to search for the meteorite. Merchants bragged of how much of the mysterious rock they would mine for themselves to sell. One fellow wondered how he would let the local blacksmith fashion a falchion from the stone. Some even dreamed of jewels. The suspicious wondered if it was a meteorite at all, and not something... else. The astute, though rare, did not have to wonder. They knew.

Of that which was found thus far were deep troughs that gouged the earth, smoldering still from where the rock had struck. The intelligent ones deduced that it fell at an angle, and bounced like a river stone far into the densely wooded trees. Several trees looked bent and cracked. Too curious. Is this how meteors behave? Many decided they weren't brave enough to trek the wilderness, even as the sun peeked over the valley. Too dangerous, they would say. Yet still, for all the rest, the hunt for the meteorite had begun.

Only to the first person to find the meteorite, would not see bits of space rock flung about to pieces. In the center of a cleared wood, surrounded by broken, smoldering trees, was a still-smoking crater, and in its center, was an unconscious man.

Wanderers and Independents / Alkereth, the Harbinger
December 19, 2022, 03:17:54 PM

"𝔗𝔢𝔩𝔩 𝔪𝔢, 𝔰𝔦𝔩𝔳𝔢𝔯-𝔠𝔞𝔰𝔱 𝔪𝔬𝔬𝔫, 𝔴𝔥𝔞𝔱 𝔴𝔬𝔲𝔩𝔡 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔡𝔬 𝔴𝔦𝔱𝔥 𝔞 𝔣𝔩𝔢𝔰𝔥 𝔞𝔫𝔡 𝔟𝔬𝔫𝔢 𝔠𝔥𝔦𝔩𝔡?"

☽ • ☾ SORCERER ☽ • ☾ EXORCIST ☽ • ☾ CURATOR ☽ • ☾ HARBINGER ☽ • ☾ PRIEST ☽ • ☾

Alkereth is a paradox born from an incomprehensible dimension. Not human, but
made up of the stuff from other worlds, bequeathed with puzzling abilities. He
is almost always astride Lunrath. Realmwalkers both, bound eternally to follow
 the dark path.

......................Name: Alkereth
......................Age: Revealed in roleplay to be over 100!
......................Gender: Male
......................Species: Aetherian, otherworldly
......................Ethnicity: ???
......................Height: 6'2"
......................Status: Completely infatuated with a Mordecai
......................Occupation:

Harbinger: In essence, a Harbinger is one who brings omen and prophecy. Blessed (or cursed) with foresight, it is Alkereth's responsibility to herald warning to realms in preparation for calamity. He is known as the Horseman of Omen. Unfortunately, Alkereth's presence is often deemed unlucky, and so the man chooses a lonely existence with only Lunrath as his constant and unwavering companion.

Curator: Strange and alien pieces, largely mind-boggling and confounding by nature, are brought to an inaccessible world for the purpose of research and safeguarding potentially dangerous and powerful objects. This curious museum of delights and eldritch wonders is simply called Preservation, guarded and tended to by the watchful eyes of its mysterious Sentinels; and their master, an ancient being that goes by no name except for one simple title: the Caretaker, whose purpose is to catalog and archive the secrets of the universe. Alkereth serves as one of Preservation's many curators.

Priest: There was a time when Alkereth was part of a magical order as its High Priest, serving under the light god Lazamar. For personal reasons, Alkereth left, much to the Order's chagrin. They are looking for their Brother and the powerful seal he made off with. Despite everything, Alkereth has not lost his faith, and clings to the title as a simple roving priest.

Residence: ???

Physical Description: In the experience of any stray eye, Alkereth is generally unforgettable. He is just too... strange. Tall, thin, wiry muscled; his is a physique made for speed and melee weapons. Hair as pale as moonlight, and eyes scarlet as a fresh wound, many would be forgiven for mistaking his resemblance to some demon. His skin exudes a sweet alyssum smell, and something else, like dust... and blood. Inscrutable, and oft solemn of countenance, the pallid face was never usually decorated with a smile. There is no warmth on this man, only a chill, which makes any contact an unpleasant experience.

Personality: Generally a closed book, and impassive as stone. Loneliness left him embittered, but never cruel. Reluctant to get close, but starved for affection.

Relationships: N/A

History: Alkereth's breeding was considered sacrilege. His mother brought home a tiny babe wrapped in soft silk under the light of a blood moon, but the people saw him and felt only fear. To whom was the child sired, and why did his eyes share the same shade as the shadowed moon? As a symptom of his strangeness, the boy never had a flicker of emotion on his face, or his voice. As tradition dictates, the people gave the child a name, and so they gave him a cruel and unlucky calling, 'Alkereth'— a name which means 'Red as the Omen Moon'. This section will be left purposefully minimal until roleplay reveals more.

• ☽ • ☾ • 𝕿𝖎𝖙𝖑𝖊𝖘 • ☽ • ☾ •

𝔈𝔩𝔡𝔯𝔦𝔱𝔠𝔥 𝔖𝔩𝔞𝔶𝔢𝔯
𝔗here comes a time when Alkereth's mission is interrupted by those in possession of a so-called 'greater will'. Years of traversing realms that baffles imagination have tempered Alkereth's blade and resolve to cut down those whom oppose him. Of course, these feats are usually accomplished with an assembled team. Alkereth cannot be expected to kill these dark abominations alone.

No matter how terrifying, or how vastly intelligent a cosmic horror, nothing is enough to stay Alkereth's blade. Problematic elder beings have turned their attention onto Alkereth which makes realm hopping a daunting task, but his stout heart and determination makes him a formidable annoyance to the so-called abyssal gods.

𝔖𝔬𝔯𝔠𝔢𝔯𝔢𝔯
𝔄lkereth was born with magical blood. For years he spent time in academies honing his abilities. His professors noted that he is a gifted Spellblade.

𝔈𝔵𝔬𝔯𝔠𝔦𝔰𝔱
𝔈ldritch horrors are not the only supernatural complications Alkereth has faced. Having experienced first hand what it was like to be possessed by demons, the Harbinger took it upon himself to learn how to expel these irritating spirits, and so he joined the Order of Lazamar. Unfortunately, spirits are drawn to him like moths to a flame.

𝔓𝔯𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱

• ☽ • ☾ • 𝕸𝖆𝖌𝖎𝖈 • ☽ • ☾ •

Alkereth is an accomplished Spellblade. It is a title given to a warrior
whom uses magic in his fighting style. A spellblade can channel arcane energy
into a melee weapon. Because he taps into his own energy, stronger magics
deplete faster. Sleep, moonlight, or simply time helps restore his energy.
When in proximity with Lunrath, Alkereth's energy lasts longer, but only
because Lunrath is a source of strong magic, and their bond allows him to
tap into her own.

Alkereth's personal magic circle, used in all manner of his spellcraft.
This is also tattooed onto his right palm in black ink, and glows when
in use. It's purpose is to help focus Alkereth's raw power, like a wizard
with a staff. Runes can be 'drawn' within the inner circle to cast specific
types of magic. It can also be three-dimensionally projected.

Strengths:
  • Holy: Alkereth's time as a High Priest gave him the proficiency needed to use Lazamar's Prayer and holy relics effectively.
  • Moon magic: Innately connected to the Aetherian moon, Alkereth is able to utilize it as a form of energy, mostly for healing. Other alien moons can also be used, but they're not as efficient. Moons still provide an excellent source of magic, however.

Weaknesses:
  • Physical weakness: Alkereth is a glass cannon. He bleeds like anyone else.
  • Light: While light doesn't necessarily physically harm Alkereth, prolonged exposure to intense heat and light is exhausting and makes him feel sluggish. These must come from a strong source, like the sun.

Immunities:
  • Psychic Rebuke: Cannot be charmed, afraid, or succumb to madness. This is generally true with Eldritch monsters, not necessarily people.

• ☽ • ☾ • 𝔖𝔭𝔢𝔩𝔩𝔰 • ☽ • ☾ •
Note: To keep things fair, and to avoid overpowering this character, I will choose three max
spells to use for a fight, unless my roleplaying partner gives the okay
otherwise. Also, to keep things entertaining, I may use online dice rolls
for fun, or at my partner's request.

𝔖𝔭𝔦𝔯𝔦𝔱 𝔖𝔢𝔳𝔢𝔯𝔞𝔫𝔠𝔢 (Holy)
Learned from his time as a priest, Alkereth learned to sever his soul from his body in order to commune with spirits, or the living. In this state, Alkereth cannot be harmed by the living, but it leaves his body vulnerable. He can definitely be attacked by other spirits, however. This hardly takes up much energy, but it can be extremely dangerous to use, so Alkereth chooses not to do it often. Think of OBEs.

𝔚𝔯𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔣𝔲𝔩 𝔏𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱𝔫𝔦𝔫𝔤 (Holy)
Charges a melee weapon to cause shock or paralysis if hit directly. If Alkereth overcharges it, he may be able to call a bolt of lightning.

ℭ𝔩𝔢𝔞𝔫𝔰𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔉𝔦𝔯𝔢 (Holy)
The melee weapon of choice causes burns. If it overheats, Alkereth may use it to throw fireballs.

𝔏𝔞𝔷𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔯'𝔰 𝔅𝔩𝔢𝔰𝔰𝔦𝔫𝔤 (Holy)
A multi-purpose holy prayer that blesses self and others. It can add a modest boost to one's physical strength, sharpens one's mind, or amplify a weapon's effectiveness. It may also null debuffs and cast illusions on self or others. It can be used to cleanse or exorcise spirits from a place or object.

𝔖𝔥𝔦𝔢𝔩𝔡 (Holy)
Alkereth may summon a holy shield, or cast an overshield on self or others for a short period, effectively protecting oneself against attacks.

𝔖𝔥𝔞𝔡𝔢 (Moon)
Alkereth's doppelgänger. The shadow copies his abilities, but they're not as strong. Mainly for distraction.

𝔐𝔦𝔫𝔬𝔯 ℌ𝔢𝔞𝔩 (Holy)
Heals small cuts and bruises.

𝔊𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔢𝔯 ℌ𝔢𝔞𝔩 (Holy)
Heals extensive wounds, such as deep cuts and minor broken bones.

𝔓𝔲𝔯𝔦𝔣𝔶 (Holy)
A useful ability that allows Alkereth to cleanse water or scour an object from filth. He cannot use it on flesh without leaving behind boils and burns. It may be used as an attack, but is more of an annoyance or distraction.

𝔖𝔩𝔬𝔴 (Moon)
A debuff that causes the enemies to move and behave sluggishly. If cast three times in succession in one roleplay sitting, the debuff has a chance to put a foe to sleep.

𝔗𝔢𝔩𝔢𝔭𝔬𝔯𝔱 (Moon)
Lets the user cross small distances instantaneously, but the user must know where they're going. It can be used to dodge attacks.

𝔖𝔥𝔞𝔡𝔬𝔴𝔟𝔢𝔞𝔰𝔱 𝔖𝔲𝔪𝔪𝔬𝔫 (Moon)
A beast from the shadow realm may be called forth to temporarily fight Alkereth's battles, but it is not always guaranteed what will come out of the darkness. It borrows the summoner's shadow and energy. The longer the summoned lingers in a fight, the more energy depleted from the summoner.

𝔊𝔞𝔱𝔢𝔴𝔞𝔶 (Celestial)
Only possible with Lunrath. Summons portals to leap through realms.

𝔐𝔢𝔫𝔡 (Moon)
A simple and useful spell that fixes what was once broken. Cannot mend something that is utterly destroyed or unrecognizable from its previous state. Cannot fix people, only objects.

Lunrath is no mere mare. She is a remarkable steed made of starlight.
A spirit. Harbingers live on the saddle, they say. Omen-bearers, bringers of
prophecy. Alkereth did not choose Lunrath, neither did Alkereth request his
station. He was hand-picked by the spirit herself. Together, they are bound
by an unknown fate.

Status: Missing

Lunrath was not foaled in the usual way.

The swell of a nova was her beginning. As is the way of Starmounts, she floated
in the womb of stardust until she was carefully harvested with the others, and
raised to become a Harbinger's steed. She has been in service to countless
riders. She is very old, and very wise.

When a Harbinger is killed, Lunrath will find another to take his place. It is
a difficult burden to bear, for Lunrath is fond of her past riders. But the
position must never stay vacant for long...

Magic

Lunrath is a delicate creature of celestial magic. Though her age is tremendous, and her soul immortal, if she is killed, she will be reborn among the stars, but her birth follows the cycle of any star.

Abilities

𝔊𝔞𝔱𝔢𝔴𝔞𝔶 (Celestial)
Lunrath summons a portal to leap through realms.

𝔖𝔱𝔞𝔯 𝔅𝔯𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱
Lunrath's body blinds with a radiant glow. Eldritch monsters aren't fond of this light.

Current Threads:
  • The Night the Fire Fell: An introduction in which Alkereth makes a clamorous appearance. A Mordecai named Emery takes Alkereth as her captive to turn him in to a mysterious prison for mages to be studied in return for that sweet sweet cash.

Meanwhile, Alkereth and Emery are basically just two giant emotionally constipated idiots being dumb together about different things on this journey. Stay tuned!

This just in: Emery fucked the mage out of Alkereth. Oops. Alkereth is crazy mad about it, but now he is hopelessly smitten with the Mordecai to care too much right now.

OOC: Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to look at this character. Alkereth is one of my oldest, living in my head rent-free for several years. I had a dream about the name itself: "Alkereth. Remember Alkereth." I don't know why my dream brain wanted me to remember it, but I do remember waking up and writing it down, spelled exactly as I've seen it in my head. Slowly after that, a person began to take shape: and so Alkereth the Harbinger was born.
