Walking past his jutting ass, Melora didn't bother to give him a second look as she stepped around him and over towards her daughter. Dragging her cape up off the floor and resting it to her side, she peered over at Aella with some scrutiny.
Her mother was an imposing figure, bold and beautiful, with the most decadent costume at the party. With a dress that was shimmering with two-tones, like jewels, and true diamonds and sapphires and violet and yellows gems glittering off her drss and mask, and plenty of peacock feathers lining the top of her cape- she appeared a regal figure of beautiful and decadence.
"All alone are you?"
Aella found herself paling beneath her mother's gaze.
"No, well, yes, I mean, I was for a little bit. I mean just now, you know, just to have enough time to erm, get something to eat?"
Melora smiled, though it was a feigned facade of sweetness. She shook her head,a nd patted her daughter lightly upon the shoulder
"Come now dear, you're too pretty now to be all by yourself. Chin up," and she placed a dark finger nail beneath Aella's chin to lift her gaze. "I've got a few people for you to meet." And after catching General Serenus's gaze int he crowd, she turned away from him. Damn that man for not helping her get Aella paired with Calent!
Taking Aella by the hand, she made off with her, Aella only gasping, but not about to protest as she spared one glance over her shoulder towards Laighean's ass in the air.
