Cleara Verdad had come into Arca late the previous night. The small religious group quickly rented out any and every spare room that an Inn or tavern could spare. Naturally, the Saints got their own rooms, with the exception of Sinead, who gladly shared his bed with his betrothed, Glimmer.

Sinead arose well before dawn, as per normal. He was careful not to disturb his beloved from her slumber as he slipped from the bed. He had a surprise planned for her, but it required a little preparation.

Picking up her discarded clothes, Sinead snuck from the room. Twenty minutes later he returned to the room, laid the clothes back where they were and stripped of his own. Returning to the bed, Sinead curled up next to Glimmer and waited for her to wake up.

Glimmer drifted in and out of sleep, her hair covering a large sum of the bed. She had set her pearls aside but her hair still smelled of salt and sea, as did the rest of her. She first stirred when Sinead had moved that morning but was too sleepy to be bothered to wake up, slipping back into her dream. She lie curled on the bed for hours with scarlet hair hanging off the side of the bed.

When Sinead crawled back into bed, the woman startled slightly into awakening. Long eyelashes parted to the jewels of teal in her eyes and squinted at the sunlight. The sun had come up a while ago before she woke up. She rolled over to see him holding her and smiled. "Good morning, my love..." Her voice was weak and heavy from sleep and she lay on her back in the soft furs from the tavern, the sunlight hitting her pale skin and making it almost shine.

She then turned towards him and placed her head in the crook of his neck, breathing him in and touching over chest, drawing symbols across it.

"Good morning my dearest" Sinead said, the joy evident on his face. He had one arm wrapped around Glimmer, and with the other, he played with her hair. Everything about Glimmer made Sinead a very happy man, joyous would be a better word to describe it. He also hadn't had any of the nightmares of the past that had plagued him for years.

"Well Glimmer, I have a surprise for you, but you have to wait till close to the end of the day to receive it. But I doubt it will cross your mind very much, I've got plenty to show you today."

Glimmeringpearl

She rolled over onto his chest completely and laid over him, lifting her upper body off him and looking down at him with excitement. "There's more?!" She was so astounded. Seeing the furs of these land-creatures had been enough to blow her mind for hours on end but to here there was more. She settled her hips on his and sat upright while she was straddled on him, clapping her hands.

Though it was doubted that she could just leave the room smelling of brine as she did. She smelled of ocean and fish and salt, partially pleasing to some but no most not. She smiled and leaned down over him, kissing him once more. "You are amazing." Her fingers trailed over her his shoulders, up his neck and into his hair, fingernails trailing over his scalp as she pressed her forehead to his, closing her eyes.

"First we are going to the Bathhouse. One of life-on-land's simple pleasures." Sinead slowly got out of bed. Sinead put on his clothes then strapped on his swords, then finally put on his gauntlets. The Aiden armor wasn't quite as heavy as it once was, probably due to his new outlook on life.

Sinead turned to Glimmer, "it's still fairly early in the day but there are sure to be a lot of people out and about, after all Arca is the capitol of this great country."

Meaning she had to put on clothes. Glimmer kept her complaints to herself and slid on her shirt slowly. She didn't like clothes for they made her skin itch. Besides, she liked it when Sinead would look upon her with his long side-glances. She smiled a little at the thought before continuing to put her pants on. "What is a bath?" She asked allowed.

Zane

"You will see, m'dear, but I assure you, you will like it." When they were both dressed Sinead went over and opened the door, then held out his hand to Glimmer, "Shall we?"

Glimmeringpearl

Glimmer left the bed and went to him, grasping his hand before planting a quick kiss on his cheek, releasing his hand and running off ahead of him, trying not to slid down the stairs and thus going slower than she wanted to. She reached the landing with a slight slip but caught herself. She beamed at her success and continued to scamper away.

Zane

Sinead let Glimmer have a bit of a head start, then gave chase. When he saw that she was clear of the stairs, he leapt down them. Slamming his hand into the wall to keep himself from falling, Sinead was quickly after her as she went out the front of the Inn.

He was through the door before it closed as he gave chase to Glimmer. He quickly caught up to to her and scooped he off her feet, carrying her across his arms. "you're pretty speedy for only having been walking for a day. I would applaud you but my hands are a little tied up at the moment."

Glimmeringpearl

Bubbling laughter exploded form the girl, joyful giggles tumbling from her lips as a brook does over rocks. She kicked her feet a little when he caught her and scooped her up, her hair going flying. She beamed in his arms and clung to him, her arms tightly around him. Her laughter subsided and she looked up at him with a sparkle in her eyes. The air suddenly became pregnant with words that she looked like she wanted to say but they soon subsided, forgotten for now.

Zane

"Hm? something on your mind?" Sinead asked, walking towards the Bathhouse, which wasn't too far away. Sinead continued carrying Glimmer, and he would unless she asked him to put her down.

Glimmeringpearl

Glimmer would never in a million years ask to be put down by him. "Nothing." Her voice was complacent in not saying anything more. She leaned into him and let him carry her, drawing patterns on his chest again, concentrating on that.

Zane

"Alright." Sinead walk on for a little bit longer then, as they came up to the Bathhouse, used his back to open the door. After being paid, the owner led them to a secluded room at the back of building. The room was about five feet wide by eight feet deep. in the very back of the room was a large pool of semi-deep water, the heat of the water was evident by the small amount of steam that rose from it.

Sinead set Glimmer in a chair at the front of the room, then closed the door to the room. He then started undressing, motioning for her to do the same.

Glimmeringpearl

Glimmer immediately began to tear off her clothes, granted she wasn't trying to rip them but she was so excited by the water that she couldn't hold herself back. The woman cast her clothes aside, her pale form bouncing toward the water. She dunked her foot in and shrieked, yanking it back and stumbled backwards, landing flat on her rear. "The water bites!!" Glimmer had never experienced hot water before and it had burned her.

Zane

Sinead put the clothes in a wide-bottom bucket and set it outside the door. He had barely closed the door when he heard Glimmer shriek. He rushed to her side, "the water didn't bite you, it's just hot." He dipped his hand into the water, then quickly pulled it out. "the water is a little too hot, give it a few minutes to cool. Then it will be a very relaxing warmth."

Sinead dipped his hand back into the water as a constant test to it's heat. With his other hand, he stroked Glimmer's hair, an attempt to appease her while they waited for the water to cool. After a few minutes the room had filled with steam. "Now try the water, but go slow" he said as he got in the water himself.

Glimmeringpearl

Glimmer slowly slid her feet in, apprehensive at first and slowly began to submerge. She slid her entire head underwater, curling up beneath. It wasn't for a few moments that she came up gasping and grasped the edge of the tub, gasping for air.

Zane

Sinead was suddenly behind Glimmer, holding her up by her armpit and holding her head back against his shoulder, "take slow deep breaths. I should have warned you, humans can't breathe underwater like mermaids can." Sinead slowly leaned back against the tub, sliding down until he was sitting on the bottom, Glimmer leaning on him.

She gasped and leaned her head back on his shoulder, breathing heavily. From her lips produced a pained sound, a near whine that she stifled by biting her lip. She stirred within his lap and reached her hand out of the water to her face, making a wiping motion. She hung her head a little, clearly very upset.

Zane

Sinead went to stroke Glimmer's hair. He was trying to comfort her, but he had no idea how hard this was for her. But he had an ideal of something that could help. He slowly repositioned her so that she was still leaning on him, but his hand were on her back and under her knees. "Do you trust me?"
