Physical Description
Like the rest of his brethren, Taliesin has a long, serpent-like body, similar to an Oirthir dragon, but not quite as long. His head is similar to an Iarthair, with two sets of horns, and a set of wings at his shoulders, which have seen more than their fair share of abuse; there are a few holes in the membrane, with some tears along the edges, as well as several other scars along his body, testament to how much he is mistreated by his brethren.
His scales are a reflection of the realm in which he now sits; pitch black and jagged. His belly and neck are lined with a subtle dark gray, which, if one weren't paying attention, he would seem like an immense shadow in the night. However, what gives him away as more than a mere shadow are his eyes; bright red and seemingly bloodthirsty.
Personality
Although by nature he is cruel and unforgiving just like the rest of the Twelve, Taliesin isn't one to just torture his victims and take sadistic pleasure in their misery; he finds that rather appalling, and will often leave when it happens. His sense of honor and duty is high, and when he ruled his empire in based in La'Marri, he ruled with an even hand, but when faced with treason and betrayal, brutally tortured and executed the offenders, not for his own pleasure, but to serve an example to others. However, towards the end of his rule, he met a young gryphoness by the name of Yumi who, after standing up to the dragon, gained his respect, and even friendship. A major effect of this was that he became more protective, not just of Yumi, but of his kingdom in general.
9,000 years of imprisonment with his brethren have done little to change this; if anything, the millennia spent bearing abuse has made him rather defensive, but not enough that it is readily noticeable. Another mark that has been impressed upon his psyche is one of regret; often, when alone, he ponders if perhaps he should have used less cruelty, but often comes to the conclusion that even if he tried, he would have punished them the same.
Magic/Abilities
Like all Scáth, Taliesin has the powers of transformation, taking any form he should choose, as well as the ability to manipulate shadows, breath fire, and even summon an army of darkness. However, as he has been imprisoned, along with the others, for 9,000 years, these powers have seen little use, and he sometimes wonders if they will have the strength they once did after millennia of going unused.
