CH. I – Painting a Portrait
Like most of the Dujhari people, Ki’adan is copper-skinned with dark hair.  His skin is tough and taut over hard muscle, tanned from the outdoors but could easily pass for Adelan.  His hair, though dark and only moderately long, has an auburn glint to it when seen in brighter lights.  He’s physically fit, with an almost religious dedication to it keeping himself in shape.  He’s well-built and unashamed of himself, as it is a source of pride for him.

He has almost cat-like features, high angular cheekbones and almond shaped eyes.  They are of a warm brown, dark like an Adelan’s though they possess a tinge of orange just near the rim and visible only to those who look deep and steadily enough.  On the side of his right arm resides a tattoo of three claw marks that start from the top of his shoulder and curving along his arm and stopping just below his armpit.

CH II – Mental Make-up
Forthright and brutally honest, if Ki doesn’t like you, he won’t hesitate to let you know.  He’s intelligent and insightful , and may often say what others rarely want to hear, especially if they need to hear it.  It’s a rare moment that he would hold his tongue and it’s usually only to those he respects.

He’s not wholly without humor and enjoys teasing and hazing those most unsuspecting.  He does not mind casual conversation, and sharing a few drinks with strangers.  He’s respectful and polite to strangers within limitation, for it is a cold politeness – feeling no need to become close to others.  He keeps people at arm’s length, even those he’s been acquainted with for years out of sheer habit and the knowledge that those that come into his life are never there to stay.

+ FAITH +
Ki’adan has abandoned any faith he’s placed in deities or primal forces.  He holds a mild respect for nature and her forces, but otherwise would not consider himself religious in any aspect.  All that matters is the here and now and the present world around him.

+ HABITS +
Though he shuns his Duhjari heritage, not wanting it to be known to others, Ki’adan still has a penchant for the outdoors.  It has become his solace and he values his solitude within it, being alone with nature and away from the prattle and noise of a city.

CH III – Social

+ RELATIONSHIPS +
Dujarik, Father, 53, Chieftan of the White Wolf Duhjari Clan, Alive
Svadii, Mother, Deceased
Ti-lan, Sister, 24, Wife of the Chieftan of the Salamander Clan

CH IV – Abilities / Skills
+ HUNTING +
Before he ventured beyond the confines of tribe life, Ki’adan had been taught by his father and grandfather the finer points of hunting through the Serha Plains.  He was taught to track, differing types of flora and fauna, to make shelter, make traps, and to hunter.  He particularly took to studying toxic plants and their various uses, from poisons to paralysis and every effect in between.  In the outdoors, he is more comfortable than most, and can survive for quite a while in a natural environment.  With his proficiency in hunting, Ki’adan has applied the same principles in hunting slaves.

+ HORSEMANSHIP +
Like all Duhjari, Ki’adan takes to the horse as a second nature.  His aptitude for riding is much more natural than the men he works with, and he can even ride bareback without a problem.  He has a silent communion with horses and finds a solace with them than most other animals.  This is one of the few aspects of his Duhjari heritage that Ki still maintains within his everyday life.

+ ARCHERY +
Among his hunting skills, Ki’adan’s favors the bow and arrow.  He’s an excellent shot, capable of honing in on a kill a hundred yards away.  He is patient enough to wait for the perfect shot, in addition to his ability to focus on a moving target.  He is also capable of shooting a target while riding a horse.

CH V – Gear / Equipment
+ RECURVE BOW +
A recurve bow made of composite materials.  It is self-made and Ki’adan’s broadened travel to other cities has given him access to better materials than simply those found in the wild.  It is fashioned of a strong wood, sinew and horn and painted with eyes on either side of the grip.

+ SCIMITAR +
A sword passed down from father to son, a well maintained blade that’s golden in appearance.  It is a curved blade, made for hacking and slashing, but has a point that will allow it to pierce where necessary.  It is an intimidating weapon, one that Ki’adan wields with great skill.

CH VI – Reflections of the Past
Ki’adan will never speak of his past that goes beyond his time in Essyrn.  There when he was a young man, he found work as a bodyguard for a petty merchant lord.  He was a slimy little bastard and the pay was less than adequate, but that was where he got his first taste of independence.  After an incident capturing a thief that attempted to rob his employer at knifepoint and attempt to escape, Ki’adan had impressed certain figures in the human trade.

He was approached by a nobleman named Lord Derren Grey, who offered him work as a slave hunter, capturing runaways.  Ki’adan, knowing he’d be foolish to refuse such an offer, accepted.  He set him on a trial run, the entire reason that Lord Grey was out there in the first place, to capture a slave that managed to evade him thus far.  Ki’adan found the runaway within a day and a half, hiding in ruins nearby an oasis, a common travel route used by merchants.

Grey accepted Ki’adan into his employ and took him along up North, through the desert and into Adela.  He knew of the prejudices Adelans held against his kind, and he also knew that his physical appearance was very much Adelan.  He called himself Renault from then on, having introduced himself as such to Grey and his men.  He fell into Adelan culture with ease, having readily shed his Duhjari identity long ago.

No, Ki’adan will never speak of his Duhjari past of the White Wolf Clan.  Life in the tribe was not for the young horseman; he saw no future in being a Raider of the Plains, in warring with a nation with greater manpower and greater resources.  But his father disagreed.  Dujarik did everything he could to ready his son to take his place as Chieftan; he wanted more than the son-in-law his daughter Ti-lan had married, Valendir of the Salamander Tribe.  The marriage was alliance enough, and Dujarik feared the end of his line, and the end of his clan.

Ki’adan fought with his father several times, wanting more, to see the world beyond, to never return to the suffocating life of the tribe.  He departed in the dark of night with his horse, vanishing south into the desert and shedding nearly all ties he could of his past.

Though years have passed, Ki’adan at times still thinks of his father, of his tribe, and of his sister, all which he left behind.  And he has grown even more troubled by recent dreams and visions of his father in sickness.  But he was no wise woman and is uncertain whether to delve further into it or brush it off altogether.
