Eagle Eyes

Acasia just arrived to her new destination with her younger sister Antonina, who was normally called Tony, and started to settle in. She had no idea what she was gong to do from there on out, but just knew that she had to get away from her past somehow. She leered far out into the distance seeing the small silhouettes of the community she has just escaped. Her eyes shut and she couldn't get rid of the image of blood.

Blood other hands, on her knives, on the floor, and all over the person she once loved. Acasia shook her head trying to release the horrid image and remembered she had another being to look after when she heard the cries of a child. She looked to Tony to make sure she was okay as she looked up at Acasia with tear filled eyes.

Now, Acasia had always thought most about Tony's safety and making sure she is happy. Who she cried it gives Acasia a sinking feeling of failure. Acasia being only 22 she didn't have any idea of how to raise a child, but managed as time went on. She knelt down in front of the niafi river and held Tony close to her. The sun was just beginning to set and Tony had already fallen asleep.

Acasia not having provided her with any kind of shelter for the night felt guilty. She laid tony's head down on the cold ground and hoped she wouldn't wake up while Acsia snuck back into town to find some things to start herself off inner new location. She had been walking all night there and back getting materials. She would dodge people seeing her when she was in town and steal from people's houses.

She hated going back for things because she had just escaped from that area. By the time she arrived back to where Tony was sleeping, she wasn't there anymore. She was panicking and had absolutely no idea what to do. She started packing all of the materials she had just gotten and bagged them all up in a large sack which she lunged over her back. She went running in all sorts of directions until she had no idea where she was.
She started to slow down and her feet were dragging on the ground as she started to slow down. Her arm het go of the sack and in fell to the round, along with herself. Her knees hit the ground and her arms slumped down. She was sitting on her legs with her he'd hanging in despair, tears falling from her eyes. She had almost given up.

Hakan had just come back from a job, leading an older couple on their second pilgrimage. It was sweet. They had both gone on the pilgrimage when they were in their youth, but after meeting each other and being married for almost forty years, they decided to take another as a couple. He was paid and said his goodbyes to the thankful couple.

Being a pilgrimage guide was good money. Not many people did it, so his job was basically to make sure the people got back safely. People paid good money when it came to safety.

He sat on the roof of his house with a half-filled book of drawings, while Strinti walked around the city. The Kaadir was decently well-known to everyone, as he was constantly roaming the streets freely. He was friendly though, so nobody really had any issue.

Hakan drew action pictures; children chasing each other, couples out for a walk, a woman picking food at the market, a man performing tricks. Essyrn was lively and festive, a perfect place for an artist to observe his subjects.

After finishing his drawings, Hakan hopped down from the roof and noticed Strinti was missing. He whistled a few times, which usually summoned the lazy dragon. This time, nothing. Again, a whistle. This time, Strinti came strolling around the corner with a little girl hanging from his mouth. The girl was laughing, while Strinti carried her by the skirt, exposing her bare butt to the world. Not that it mattered. In Essyrn, nudity was completely accepted due to the heat, so it wasn't uncommon to see grown adults walking around without clothing.

"Strinti!" Hakan scolded, running up to his Kaadir. "Put her down!" The dragon placed the girl gently on the ground, and Hakan frowned. "Come on, kid. Let's get you home." He picked the girl up and climbed onto Strinti's back, holding her in front of him on the saddle. "Back where you found her, buddy."

Strinti moseyed on through the roads and out of town. He seemed to be heading toward the Niafi River. Weird... he thought.

Soon enough, Hakan saw a young woman crying on the ground. "Hey!" He called. "Are you okay?"

"Tony!" Acasia shouted without even noticing anything else. She ran up to the Kaadir and grabbed Tony off of it's back. She quickly grasped Tony by the arm and swung her behind her back. She quickly turned around and hipped out her two knives from her belt.

She kicked him to the ground off of the Kaadir and had a knife to his throat threatening to kill him where he was laying. "Why did you take Tony?" she said with a panicked voice. "Why did you take her?' she repeated after three seconds of asking the first time. She turned around and saw Tony with teary eyes. Acasia knew she was upset because of all of the knives.

Tony never liked Acasia's knives. "Nevermind." She said in a calm but still angry voice. "You're not worth it." She put her knives away and said, "I'm outta here." She took a few steps toward Tony leaving him on the ground and started to walk away with her foot just leaving the sight of his head on the
