The travel had been excruciatingly long. Thankfully, it was much shorter since Ne'friss had gone by sea. An invitation had been extended to the very wealthy Essyrnian merchant princess and who was she one to reject? It was to be a posh event, the birthday celebration of one of her business partner's sons turning of age. Perhaps the son would be handsome- or at least, she hoped much easier on her eyes than the father.

Ne'friss was picky after all on whom she let herself show of any interest. She knew she was a prize to any man, but she was so full of herself that it had actually kept a few interested parties at bay.

A woman with her wealth and connections was a good fit for many, but she had so... oh so many negative things one could whisper about her... 'personality' that left a lot to be desired.

She was arrogant. Naive. Selfish and well a lot of the times, just down right rude.
And money let her get away with it. Most, event well to do merchant princes... Well...
Let's just say she was even outside of their ball field playing her own game.

And here the youthful beauty was, beads barely covering her top half for modesty and golden robes tumbling loosely about her hips as she sat beneath an opulent umbrella upon the white sand beaches of Cerenis. If she was to visit a sea side town- the least she could do was enjoy the beaches!

She had oils, she had drinks, and she had servants fanning her off as she observed the ocean tides in luxury. Her event wasn't until tomorrow evening so for now...

For now she would relax and....

Slowly fall asleep beside the sea.
CHECK OUT MY LATEST SITE EVENT!
The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. You can read more about the event on the plotting page here and information page here!

I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.

homeboy!

Word reached Alto of the noble's gathering soon after invitations went out, opportunities like this didn't come around very often, so the week or so he spent moving his thugs to the coastline was well worth the effort. The Black Sheep's leader was a careful planner, arriving days before he anticipated anyone of note would be there, having ample time to get a lay of the surrounding area.

Alto was familiar with these kinds of events, nobility never wasted an opportunity to do nothing, the beaches would be prime for plunder. He set about rounding up his posse, the crew he brought with him was excited to get to work, and he shared in this enthusiasm.

Without much needed effort on his own behalf, his first mark made her way to his trap, and Alto moved to view his first target through the lens of a spyglass. She was quite attractive, he'd admit that much, but her charms would do little for her then, at least, that's what he'd say to her.

With a few preparations, and a decent amount of patience, his crew would make their move on the sleeping noble, servants were taken care of quietly, most being easily ushered away with a few well put threats.

Then came one of the simple pleasures of Alto's line of work. Stepping through the white sands of the beach, the start of a job well done. Laying down next to the woman, he took a few moments to decide on the position she'd find the bringer of her rude awakening in. After some shifting about, he laid with one hand propping up his head, and the other sat twirling a crossbow bolt between his fingers.

In a gentle motion, he'd tap the tip of his crossbow on the woman's nose to stir her from her beach-side nap. "Wakey, wakey." His voice came out smooth as silk, and his eyes cold as ice.

"I think we have some things to discuss."
