     · Physical Description ·
Yukina was born in Serendipity and it shows. She has fair skin, sleek blonde hair, and brilliant red-violet eyes. She certainly looks a bit out of place in Connlaoth, though no Sentinel would say as much. She dresses down in the Connlaoth style, wearing a red and white top cut off just beneath her chest and shorts. She does wear arm bracers and knee high boots, also lightly armored, but Yukina prefers movement to protection. There are two exotically crafted shortswords not far from her hands at all time, and she's very quick with them.

Like any Blessed, Yukina has the telling wings granted by Shinrai that denote the Goddess' favoritism and her ability to ensnare and enslave mages. She is meticulous in keeping them preened and pristine and probably has a little help doing so since she can't reach it all. Appearances are very important to her and it'll be a cold day in the hells when you see Yukina looking frumpy or rumpled.

     · Personality ·
Yukina can be a cold creature when it comes to her mission in this world. She doesn't see the enemy as people - but likens them to a filth that must be cleansed from the world. Only through redemption can anyone deemed an enemy be granted a small measure of humanity in her eyes. There is no such thing as ill treatment of mages, no abuse of slaves to her. They are tools to use for a greater purpose.

Conversely, she is infinitely compassionate and kind to the less fortunate and her camp regularly takes in those that are out, on their own, and suffering. They set them right, heal what they can, feed them, and help them get on their way in whatever way they might. She thinks whatever way they can help other people in this chaotic world of suffering is a step in the right direction.

Amongst the Sentinels she has charge of, Yukina is both mother and disciplinarian. She is there for them, will do whatever she can, but much like the Goddess she represents, there is harsh punishment for breach of the Code. She strictly adheres to it and expects everyone else to do the same. Her punishments are always swift but never cruel, followed by compassionate forgiveness.

     · Magic / Abilities ·
As a Blessed of Shinrai, she can capture any caster that directs a spell against her. When she goes against someone she knows uses magic in such a way, she will try to goad them into doing just that so she can ensnare them. Once hers, she will either use them to turn the tide of battle - forcing them to act for her - or she'll bring them back to her camp for conditioning.

Yukina, on her own, is a very talented duel wielder of short swords. She relies particularly on great speed and decisive strikes, throwing off her opponents by attacking from the air if it is advantageous to do so.

Born a Serenian, Yukina was born with the healing gift. It is largely untrained, but she uses this in camp to heal other Sentinels, wanderers that are in need, or anyone else that becomes injured. Because it is untrained, she cannot heal disease or regrow anything lost, only mend flesh.

     · Relationships ·

     · History ·
Yukina was the daughter of a traveling merchant and his wife. They sold tinctures and healing salves. Small things to help people get by in their lives. Her mother made thing things her father sold. She had minor magic that imbued whatever she made with the ability to heal people - a real alchemist is what her father called her mother, quite affectionately. They stressed to their daughter the importance of helping people when you could. Though they charged for their service, they did not live an extravagant life. A simple, but nice one, and Yukina's childhood memories are filled with warmth, love, and laughter.

Her father would frequently hire a guard to take them from one town to the next, but there wasn't ever one person who traveled with them normally.

As with most travelers, they were generally at risk when they went on longer trips. The risk of bandits and the like increased. However, when they'd heard of one small village falling to a sickness, they decided to make their way there - knowing that Yukina's mother would be able to help. Or at least hoping she'd be able to.

They arrived to a village that was still as the grave, thinking they were too late.

The small village had been used in an elaborate spell by a small gang led by a necromancer. Yukina was hid in their wagon as her parents and the guard were taken, sacrificed for a reason she did not understand. She didn't see it, just heard it all.

She remained hidden throughout the night and into the early morning. Before the gang could ransack her family's wagon, they were attacked. She didn't see this fight either, just heard the cry of alert, the screams of pain and anger from the bandits, and it eventually all went quiet. When the wagon was searched, it wasn't a bandit that found her, but an armored man with feather soft wings. He took her out of the wagon, in his arms.

It was only then she saw all the dead bandits and the necromancer, battered and bruised, kneeling in front of another feathery winged individual.

Saved by a Blessed of Shinrai, she's been part of the order ever since.

     · Additional Notes ·
I'm not looking to play Yukina with anyone that is going to best or overcome her. Conflict could be fun, but I don't want my Blessed to become a prisoner or the like, nor do I want her to capture a mage only for them to eventually, easily get free. Long term plots are love here.
