{PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION} Tall, strong, and beautiful— Talbryn is everything an elite soldier for Ansgar should be. Years of military training have left him a powerhouse all himself. It'll take much more than a strong breeze to knock him over, something that he tends to take advantage of at every turn when it comes to combating less-than-amicable mages. Those same years have left him scarred in places, both from combat and from training. There's a few deeper ones where blades have sunk in between the plates of his armor, but they've long healed and present no problems to him outside of people asking how he got them.
His hair is his main vanity. Long, sandy-blonde and silken, it's not hard to see why. Paired with striking, sapphire-blue eyes, and a warm, welcoming expression, he's quite the looker. Even more so when in his full uniform, all bright silver and lily-white fabric, which make him look quite a lot like some kind of knight straight out of a fairy tale. And you'd best believe he keeps his equipment shiny-clean, too.
Still, when the armor comes off, he's a man like any other, and any man has his number of secrets. Talbryn is no exception, and his back is striped with the proof.
{PERSONALITY} Devout; One might be able to make the claim that Talbryn is the most deeply devoted of his particular cell of Mordecai, but Talbryn would argue that such a prideful statement would be against the best interests of both the Mordecai and the country they serve. But the truth of the matter is, to Talbryn, there is nothing outside of his mission and the Church. His entire purpose in life is to make Connlaoth safe, and anything beyond that is utterly superfluous.
As such, he's strong-willed, bold, independent, and fiercely intelligent. When he puts his mind to a task, there is no stopping him.
Too Devout; But this has its dark side. Talbryn has poured so much of himself into his calling that he sees aspects of himself as distractions at best, or utterly malignant at worst. His appetites run a bit nontraditional in a lot of ways, and rather than exploring this in a healthy manner, he's decided the better thing to do is to bury it as deep as possible. Failing that, there's always repentance.
As such, he's stubborn, and more than a little tense. Talbryn is nigh-manically diligent, and never takes anything at face value without vetting it three times over, sometimes to his own detriment. He's not reached his breaking point just yet, though it's anyone's guess which way it'll go.
For the People; Still, at his heart, he does what he does out of love. He deeply cares for the people who, left defenseless against magic-users, would only suffer their whims. Even for typical citizens, he doesn't suffer cruelty against those who can do nothing to defend themselves. He sees it as being the lowest form of selfish cowardice to pick fights you can only win, and even worse if you make a habit out of it.
Fun Facts!:- Has a special fondness for roses, both the scent and the symbol.
- Never misses Ansgar's Day mass. If he's out in the wilderness, as it were, he will take the time out of his day for quiet prayer. Don't rush him.
- Has a dirty secret kink list like a mile long.
- Like seriously, the guy is *mad* repressed.
{SPECIAL ABILITIES}Mordecai! As such, any magic within a 750 foot radius of Talbryn is nullified, starting with muting at the outskirts to a much stronger effect the closer he gets. As such, he needs to get up close and personal very quickly.
{RELATIONSHIPS}That's a bit complicated, and Talbryn doesn't much like to talk about it. Still, he has a family estate in Uthlyn, not that he ever has time to visit.
{HISTORY}I'm sure he has one and it's suitably sad in places.
