Aoi was finally dressed for the occasion. It all started with what for us would be a tiny blue bikini. Around her waist was a white skirt that was longer on the left than on the right, and clasped right in the middle of her waist with a sun-shaped golden buckle, leaving the blue bikini style bottom to be seen. Gold anklets were on her legs, little white wings decorating them, one on the outside of each. The anklets connected to her middle toe with a delicate chain. She wore gold bracelets, and gold armlets with a white wing-shape attatched to them both. She wore a gold necklace, compete with the golden sun symbol.
On her head was a sort of tiara, white, with the golden sun in the middle, a strip of thin white fabric falling on either side of her face.
It was elegant, sexy, and perfect.
With thundering applause the curtain rose, leaving Aoi bare before them all. But her sharp green eyes were already in deep concentration, and she did not see them.
The music started, and so did Aoi.
It all started simply, with just one katana, arcing and dancing through the air, accentuating her own movements as it flashed in the lamp light. Then came her whip, and the music sped up. The whip twirled about her, the katana still in hand rigid against the fluidity of her whip.
It cracked, and blue ice and snow appeared. Faster and faster she danced, until her whip was a blue streak dancing about her, the silver of her blade nearly untracable.
Then in one thunderous clap, blue exploaded all around her, and she discarded the whip.
Both katana in hand, a new song started, and Aoi was off again, her body covered in a slight sheen of sweat. Her face was one of perfect concentration as both katana whistled through the air. Sometimes they would come so close as to touch her body, but no cuts ever showed themselves. At other times, they would slide against each other with that characteristic metal on metal sound.
The audience was captivated all the way until the end.
The curtain dropped on applause that rattled the stage, and Aoi was left panting and grinning like an idiot in the darkness.
Adi ran up, grinning.
"Great, great!!" She clapped giggling, and Aoi just grinned, still catching her breath. Adi had the second katana's sheath, and once both swords were carefully encased, Adi took them both, along with Aoi's whip, toward the changing room. Aoi followed, brushing her bright blue hair from her eye where it had fallen.
Ew, sweaty sweaty...
"Do you think Ayan came?" Adi ventured, to which all Aoi could do was shrug. She never really looked at the crowd, for she had to concentrate completely on what she was doing when dancing.
It kept things from getting chopped off.
