"YOU IDIOT!" A young man shouted, looking, well, you guessed it, irritated. He wore his brown hair in a long braid pulled over his right shoulder, the locks and hair around his face were a little messy, adding to his aggitated appearance. His eyes were severe and sharp, dark and judging, and the dark make-up he wore only accentuated this. However, the person who he had been yelling at didn't seem to really mind.

Standing at a mere five foot, she didn't really look imposing. Her appearance was similiar to a child's, rather than a young woman. Really, it was hard to tell her age besides the fact she was a little further developed than any child. She even held that indisputable innocence, naievty, and simpleness. She couldn't help but to turn her face to the man's and smile brightly, unconcerned with his frustration.

"Sieras, it's pretty," she enthused, her hands cupping a small, crystalline dog figurine. It sat tall, aware and noble in her palm. She was smiling wide, just like a little kid, her own dog ears perked forward and her tail wagging with excitement and happiness behind her.

The crowd that had gathered around them seemingly dispersed, the situation holding little to no interest for them anymore. Sieras thought that was just as well - people and crowds were not among his favorite things, they were annoying and troubling. It couldn't be helped that he was 'babysitting' one of the oldest, 'biggest' children he knew.

"And expensive. Do you understand that, Devi? Ex~pen~sive," he growled out, staring at the little figure distastefully. He picked it up and raised it above his head.

"Anyone want to buy a little glass dog figurine?" He barked out, and when nobody offered, he leaned close to Devi's face, hostile and angry. "Do you understand that nobody wants this? It's not practical - we don't need it. You just wasted good money," he ground out.

She looked up at him with that startling innocence before smiling and licking the tip of his nose, giggling. He reeled backwards, disgusted and mildly offended. He rubbed his nose, aggitated. He really did try to make her understand that money was a cruel necessity of life and should NOT, by any means necessary, wasted carelessly. He was trying to teach her responsibility. And yet, she wasn't getting it. And she broke his personal boundaries, AGAIN. That licking thing really HAD to stop.

He rubbed his nose fiercly, glaring at her. "That's it. I'm going to see if I can pawn it off. I swear to God, if you leave this spot, whenever I see you again, I will kill you. Understand?!" He said with just a little hostility. However, Devi wasn't intimidated, or even slightly fazed. She simply nodded. "Aye-aye!" She announced, grinning.

He already had a bad feeling as he turned and departed - he just knew that when he came back, he wouldn't be able to find her. She could suit herself! He'd go home and then everyone else could go on some big search party for Devi! She was like a dog. Sooner or later she followed her nose and stomach and wound up right back at the inn. No matter what.

Devi watched him until he effectively vanished in the midst of people, and she turned, only to do the same. And then she smelled something quite curious. She sniffed the air and padded down an ally, peering around as he sandles clapped noisely, ears perked. Food? It didn't smell like any food she knew, and the smell itself was sweet and slightly bitter... Hm? She was delighted! An adventure! Her tail was wagging, almost full force as she explored the allies, her mind focusing so fully and simply on that scent.

Where was it? What was it causing?

[sorry it sucks >< xD]

Bella Delbouchi was sitting at the end of the alleyway. Today was no different from the rest as she pearched herself upon an old carton and sat down to eat lunch. It was something called grilled chicken and as she bit into it she realized that the vendor put way to much salt into it. She took one bite and almost gagged. She brushed back her sun blonde hair as it fell into her emerald eyes, blocking her vison of staring at the...wall. God, there was nothing to do!

Suddenly she heard small movements making way toward her and she stood up quickly, her glimmering eyes darting to and fro. If it was one of the villagers from Draconi forest she would have to make a run for it. They accused her of all the murderes there. She had taken refuge in Acra for now, and had hid among people, living off the street and with whatever money she coudl find. It wasn't particilaly hard to live on the street though. Not when you were an adaptaded vampire. Being an adaptaded vampire definietly had it's advantages.

Like for instance, Bella could walk out into the sun! It didn't hurt her pale skin and she was grateful. Often she would wonder what it would be like to be an old vampire, where you couldn't go out into the sun. Now that would be sad. Bella liked to write and draw. She was very good, and half of her paintings were of the sun and clouds. Bella hoped one day that she could maybe become a famous painted and a writer, maybe even work for somebody. However she knew that being who she was would crush any hope of that. If someone knew that she was a vampire they wouldn't accept her.

Bella strained her ears, listiing. Maybe whatever was coming down the alleyway could be a snack?

Where was that scent coming from? Her nose twitched, ear perked. Where? Where was it? Her tail arched as she paused in the middle of an ally, eyes darting back and forth, head lifted high, nose working overtime to pick up the vestiges of the scent. It was disappearing! She wondered if that meant the scent was moving away or it was just... gone? Devi didn't know, and already felt her small adventure slipping from her grasp. It was then that she felt that there was someone else - it wasn't that feeling of being watched, but it was that feeling that someone, something, was somewhere to your side. She pivoted clumsily, ears perking forward with utmost curiousity.

She padded forward, her eyes finding the person quite quickly. She smiled in that sincere and genuine way of any small child who had found a prize. Devi waved, the individual seemed unthreatening - then again, it took alot to make Devi feel 'threatened'.

"Hii!" She spoke with the enthusiasm and cheerfulness you'd expect from someone who won an amount of money.

"Do you smell it? It smells sweet and bitter... It's really faded now... But do you know what it's coming from?" She asked her company - maybe they knew? Maybe the girl would know just what that smell was.

Devi sure as hell did not know what the scent was. But it was bothering her, not knowing that is.

Bella smiled, looking down upon the young child. The child seemed to hold a boldness to her, seemingly invincable. Bella admired the young girl's structure and the slight scent that she gave off. It made her mouth water. Bella had tried to keep off of blood for about a week, knowing that it would get her in trouble. However this young child smelt very good, and it was starting to get to Bella.

"Why hello young child, and..who might you be?" The young girl seemed happy, her tail wagging back and forth. Bella brushed away her golden blonde hair out of her emerald eyes, sitting back down upon the crate so that she was eye leve with the girl. The girl went on and on about a smell, and Bella looked down at her half eaten chicken that was salted to much. She held it out in the palm of her hand for the girl. "Is this it?" Bella's voice was firm as she somewhat leaned forward, getting even a stronger wiff of the girl. She smelled delicious. Than again the girl was a beautiful peice of work, and Bell couldn't help but admire her. Admire her strong strutcture and her proud apperance as if she had just won the lottery.

Maybe she could draw her befor drinking from her?

Then again...

Bella was very hungry, and there was always another kid like this on the street. Bella wondered how much longer she could wait until she gave into blood lust. Usually blood lust was a very bad thing. It was something that if you didn't have enough blood you would drink and drink and drink to quench your undieing thirst. Bella didn't want that to happen and she knew that soon it would if she didn't get it. She admired the girl's scent, although she had never tasted a different species. This girl had dog ears and a tail and Bella wondered if her blood tasted different. Maybe it even tasted vile. Bella shrugged mentally to herself.

She would wait a little longer...see what happens...

Her emerald eyes lingered upon the girl, to anyone it would make them uneasiness. Bella could put anyone in a trance. Maybe if the girl struggled Bella woudl put her in a trance to make her do as Bella says.

Young child? Devi looked mildly puzzled at the greeting - in all actuality, she was twenty-one, but that was hard to believe. This wasn't the first time she was mistaken for a child, and probably would never be the last. But it hardly bothered Devi - actually, she didn't even realize she looked or acted like a child, she honestly thought she was 'normal'. But that hardly kept her attention for long, just about to tell the woman her name before she lifted up the chicken. Devi leaned forward slightly, her nose working delicately, taking in the faint scent. She hardly knew that chicken smelled that way - must be seasoning or the way it was cooked. She smiled brightly, nodding her head vigorously.

"That's it!" She said proudly, grinning as her ears perked, tail wagging becoming more frantic. "I'm Devi. What's your name?" She asked curiously, eyes widening with all the wonder and simpleless of any child.

If Devi noticed Bella's lingering eyes, she didn't show it. For all the things that Devi was, a liar was one of them. Devi had become a fastiduous pupil to the art of lying, and she had mastered it at the age of nine. People didn't expect alot of things from her, and Devi had that vague knowledge - that people didn't treat her as a twenty-one year, but as a child. Children lied, of course they did. Devi lied like a child when she wanted too, but Devi, for all her open-faced honesty and directness, was still the queen of deception.

It took people a long time to figure out what Devi's affairs entirely were - and usually they found out after the fact. There were only certain people privy to Devi's life, and never did they know completely the entire situations that occured only a few years ago. And these were people she had grown up with - they weren't people she didn't trust, or people she didn't consider family. But that was how she was. Despite herself, she could be highly secretive. But that was the trickery of it all.

How would you know that this child single-handedly freed more than fifty over-worked workers, both adults and children, from an Inn? How would you know that this child was twenty-one?

Bella wouldn't have known, and she didnt take the young girl to be a woman. Her apperance clearly said otherwise. Bella strained her smell, picking up the sweet intoxication of the woman befor her. Bella didn't know how much longer she could wait. She took her blond beauitufl hair and took a piece of blue ribbon from her pocket. After she was done doing all the fancy work, her hair was in a tight bun, with only a few strands being disobedient. She smiled at Devi, her pearly white teeth shinning.

"I'm Bella." She was quite blunt, not needing to say more.

Being an adaptaded vampire also gave you a special ability. You were able to hide your true self. Right now, what stood before Devi, was a beautiful young woman around twenty. Blond hair as white as the wheat, and piercing emerald eyes that could almost hypnotize you. A young woman who was wearing a tight, small purple dress, that went only about to her knees. Black shoes that graced Bella's feet and, more like sandles, and went up about her leg. Bella wasn't that rich, but you could say that she didn't live on the street. Funny thing was, she did. She had on a necklace that had a piece of Jade in the middle, and she also had a matching bracelet.

Being in the other form of an adaptaded vampire was something entirely different. If Bella was to change her appereance right now she would had long, midnight black hair, and fiery red eyes that glowed in the night like soft burning embers. She would have even paler sking and sharper teeth. And for some reason, whenever Bella changed into her other form, her clothes would change. Sometimes she didn't know what they would change into, other times she could guess to the exact messure. She guessed that if she were to change right now it would probably be into a black dress.

Bella stood up and then leaned down next to the girl. Smiling even wider, a somewhat glint of malice in her eyes. "You smell good..." Bella's voice was deathly low and she somewhat moved a bit closer to Devi. She gave a smile, revealing a slight transformation of two sharp fangs.

Anonymous

"It's nice to meet you Bella!" Devi responded pleasantly, smiling widely.

Indeed, what Devi saw was a normal woman (well, the clothes were a little unusual, at least to someone who was on the streets, but Devi didn't really recognize that). She was beautiful and her eyes, if Devi thought of such things, she imagined would set a man, or perhaps even some women, aflutter. But what Devi saw was relayed into an innocent idea. She was just a person she had just met - and a very pretty person, at that. Who had a very good smelling food. That's all.

Bella leaned closer, and Devi vaguely detected the malice. But her mind hopped to the other message that was registered. "That's because I bathe regularly," Devi said proudly - which was true. She bathed every day, and as far as Devi was concerned, that's why she smelled good. But what Bella probably smelled was something completely unrelated to her regular bathing.

The sharp fangs were detected. Devi suddenly smelled and took a large step back. "I'm sorry. Your teeth are a little too sharp," Devi commented, looking at ease despite the situation. "I, however, won't apologize if you try anything," she added, still smiling, but it was somewhat different, almost melancholy, her eyes no longer containing the innocent wonder of a child, but conveying someone older - someone whose had their fair share of trials and beat them all. Despite her childish face, she almost looked like the adult that usually laid dormant inside her.

Devi was most honestly childish and most genuinely naive - perfectly simple but not quite so. Over the years her personality developed, but she had remained steadily childish and 'carefree' for the sake of her friends outwardly. She had kept the seriousness and her own resolve to herself, understanding and while not really all that intelligent, she had her own kind of smarts, but strictly maintained and incorporated the childish she had saved. It was her lack of an honest childhood that had forced this on her. But Devi didn't complain.

Bella stared down upon the young girl, an eyebrow raising. Was the girl actually serious? She didn't sense any danger? Bella wondered if she was loosing her touch. Right before the young girl's curious eye's Bella transformed. Her hair was no longer a beautiful wheat gold but a dark midnight black. It was silky and long, going down to about her lower back. Her eyes were no longer a piercing green but a fiery red, fleckered with malic. Her teeth grew slightly longer and her purple sun dress changed into a dark crimson dress. Bella looked down upon the girl and then leaned down to her level. "You shouldn't go traveling by yourself, dear."

(A bit of pplaying, can take it out if you want, but I can't think of anything else to type)

Bella took the girl's wrist and pinned her up against the cold, musty wall. The alleyway was small, but it gave just enough room for about five people to stand hand in hand and block an entrance. Bella gave a kick at an old carboard box and then looked up at the girl who she held suspended in the air against the wall. "There's something about you that smells...so good." Bella voice was hyptnotic as she took in another sniff of the girl. Bella wondered if she was doing the right thing. Maybe this girl would put up a fight?

Bella turned her fiery red eyes upon the girl, trying to make her stare into Bella's eyes. If she did, she would probably loose herself in a hypnotic trance forever.

OOC: You can bring in that guy any time..haha.. this will be funny..

The change didn't persuade even a flicker, twitch, wince, or a bat of an eye from Devi. What others might consider strange and weird, she was far accustomed to. She watched Bella change, her facade melting away quickly. Devi sighed - granted, she lied, but never about something so major. Than again, could it be considered a lie? It's not like Bella really said that was her true form. Devi supposed that it was all a matter of interpretion. She wasn't quite sure at all.

She grunted as she pinned to the wall, feeling the chill creep through her thin shirt, feeling the hard wall grate against her shoulder bones. She was held suspended - like a rag doll. But Devi didn't seem fazed in the least - that was the horrible thing about her. She didn't seem to show the slightest concern at all. Although she was in a high amount of discomfort, and she found herself growing a little more panicked by the second - she wasn't really concerned about her position or life.

"I've never travelled alone a day in my life," Devi asked with a smile, her eyes lightening to a clear, soft blue as she gripped one of the hands that held her captive, an oppressive, powerful aura leaking out from Devi.

The air turned heavy and the ally lit up, a dog's head rearing itself from the aura and Devi maintained her calm and her position as the aura around them gradually thickened, becoming forceful, as if it was strethening the gravity around them, caving in the weaker objects mercilessly. Tentacles emerged from the mass of wriggling light curling around Devi's form, converging on Bella angrily.

OOC: Haha, Sieras would be absolutely useless in this situation.

OOC: Um.. I'm a bit confused as to what's happening. Devi's power... um... yeah.. I'm confused..hehe   :?

Bella felt a flicker of uneasiness wash over her as she stared into the young girl's eyes. The girl didn't seemed to be fased at all! As if this happened to her everyday of her life! Bella decided that it would probably be best if she put Devi in a hyptnotic stare. That way she was sure that she could feel control. However, befor she could try anything, there was a soft glow radiating off of Devi's wrist. Devi grabbed Bella's wrist and Bella looked down to see a strange light. What the hell? Bella wanted to let go of Devi, but somehow she was somewhat transfixed by this. The strange light...hurt... but not to much.

Bella, panic starting to rise within her, decided that this would be a good time to go in for the kill. However she was slightly uneasy. She leaned forward, her fangs bared as she put them near the girl's neck. She was trying to bite, but she wasn't sure if she could when that strange glow seemed to be pushing all gravity upon her. She had to do this quick, or else...well... it could be her life.

OOC: I'm sorry it's so short, but I am confused...

The air intensified, and the power that curled around Devi was immense. There was a pulse around Devi, the light taking the shape of a dog-like creature curling around Dev, it's eyes entirely nothing as suddenly, everything was repelled away from Devi. Tentacles emerged from the dog-like creature, protecting Devi's neck as it's lips pulled back and bared fangs impossibly big for its mouth - the funny part was that it seemed as if it was grinning as it looked at Bella; thoroughly amused. The dog-like creature disappeared and recreated itself in such a manner it's open muzzle was entirely engulfing Bella's head. A heat from inside its mouth could be felt, it's fangs long and dripping, baring the way effectively from Devi.

"I apologize, even though I said I wouldn't. But I won't die. I have things to do, you know?" Devi said it calmly, the dog-creature practically see-through except for a shimmering color of blue. She looked at Bella through her guard and raised her eyebrows.

"If you stop now, there won't be any injuries," she added hopefully.

Devi didn't want to hurt anyone. She didn't want to kill, but she wouldn't give her own life to someone else. She absolutely refused to do something so senseless - there were people who still needed her, people she loved. Why would she ever decided to give it up to this woman? She had many chances to forfit her life and never had she once. Today would be no different.

OOC: What are you confused about?
http://animevisions.net/Pictures/kimono/Kimono32.jpg - see the purple-animal thing around the girl? That's sorta how Devi's dog-thing is.

OOC: I just wasn't sure what all the purple dog like stuff was, but now I'm not confused. However this post maybe be crappy because I'm not entierly sure on what to write.

BIC:

Bella looked up at the dog above her and almost let out a small whimper. She had choosen the wrong person and the wrong day to mess with someone. She immedietly dropped Devi from her grasps and backed away against the opposite wall, changing back into her normal form. Her normal form was more weaker than her other and so her knees buckled, making her fall to the ground. IT made it seem as if the dog was looming over her.

Bella heard the girl's voice, but this time they didn't sound like a girl. It sounded much more like a woman and even in the time of perlious danger Bella could only raise her eyebrow up in question. What was this..this...thing She tilted her head to the side confused. She knew now that this wasn't any ordinary puppy girl. She new that it wasn't just a puppy either. But if it wasn't all of those things, than what was it? Bella mentally cursed herself slightly for loosing her touch. What had happened to her? Usually she would be able to sense the difference between a mere mortal and someone as powerful as Devi. However she hadn't had blood for days and she blamed it on blood depravation.

"I'm sorry... I should have never messed with you." Bella, even though afraid out of her own skin, stood up. She wondered if the young girl would let her walk away. She stood there, just looking up at the dog, peices of blonde hair silently falling out of her blue ribbon. Her purple dress was crinkled and her black sandles were stained with alley dirt and scumb. Her once fiery red eyes were now a glimmering green. They were no longer laced with malic, but somewhat of pure terror. Bella, cautiously, started to inch away, however the air around her made it difficult. It was kind of hard to breath.

Anonymous

"I'm sorry..." As simple as that. Maybe Devi was simple no matter what - the sudden change alone was enought o probably take away someone's breath as the dog dematerialized as Devi sunk to her feet, leaning against the wall for stability. Devi wasn't normal by any means, but the price of using power had it's own recuperations. Such as exhaustion, weakness, and pain. She already felt the effects from using that power that worsened the disease that ravaged her body.

"Just don't do it again, okay?" Devi said with a pleasantly bright, childish smile. If Bella attempted something again, Devi would attack with full force, despite her body already enduring the taxing after-effects. That didn't matter to Devi, because she could endure that. But she wouldn't survive after getting all her blood sucked out of her, now would she?

A familiar sharp pain twined through her chest, and her breathing grew a little more labored. It felt like someone was sitting on her chest, and it felt like someone was pulling steel wire through her entire body. She hurt so bad. Her lungs felt like they were going to disinigrate in her chest. But she couldn't show it. But it was obvious she was going under some decent amount of pain - her face was distorted slightly, from her exhaustion and pain. She used the wall as a crutch.

"I may be weakened right now, but another attempt at my life won't be taken lightly, either," Devi responded, hoping to make sure she affirmed her safety in Bella's company. It was natural that after someone was weak to go after them again - but take in account that person's sheer will and stubborness. Devi had an endless supply of will, stubborness, and stupidity. That was, perhaps, what made her so great.

Her hands balled into fists. She didn't want to cough - she'd be coughing blood if she did. It was hard, restraining herself from collapsing. From coughing up obscene amounts of blood. But Bella was a vampire, and smelling blood wouldn't make the situation any better. She understood that. And, anyway, Devi didn't want to show her current weakness. She didn't want to provoke unnecessary things from Bella. As much as Devi was kind, Devi understood herself fully. She understood that if Bella attacked again, Devi would do all that was in her power to kill her, or to escape alive. She'd prefer the latter, unwilling to harm the other. This was simply Bella's livelihood - she was a vampire, and they needed blood. They couldn't do anything about it. She understood that.

OOC: This will possibly be crappy...that's all I'm saying.. I'm kinda museless, but I want to thank you for rping with me... I was so boredddd

BIC:

Bella turned toward the young girl again as she heard it's voice. She noticed that the girl was leaning up against the wall and that it's breath was more heavy, as if labored. Being a vampire, well, you needed to see and hear all of these things. It was basically for instinct and protection. Bella, still a bit weary, moved cautiously toward the...well she could no longer call it a girl, now could she. This young woman seemed more far along in experience than Bella could picture, or could see. Bella stooped down to the things eye level. "Are you alright? You don't look so good." It was just a statement, and Bella wondered if the thing would tell her to go away. Most people usually did.

She reached out and soothingly stroked the things hair, instinct and protectivness coming into view. "Devi...do you have somebody to go to? Somebody that could help you?" Bella wondered if this small thing had someone to take care of her, especiall if she became like this after using so much power. Luckily for Bella, being a vampire was a normal part of life, and it didn't consume any of her health. Transforming from one stage to the other took merely no effort and it was pretty natural for her.

Bella now went down on her knees in front of the thing, staring deep into it's eyes. No, she wasn't uptting the hyptnotic state on her. She knew better than to mess with Devi now. Devi was something unatural, as Bella. At first glance you would know that she was unatural because of her dog ears, but now Bella knew she was something more. Something more than meets the eye.

"We need to get you help. Now." Bella stood up. "Do you need me to carry you?"

Devi shook her head firmly, hand pressing against her mouth tightly. Her free hand turned into a fist, the pressure in her chest immense. Every nerve felt as if it were being stabbed with hot needles - the pain was simply that bad. But Devi had felt this often before. It'd only go away with rest, time, and some of her medicine.

She took a deep breath.

"Don't worry about it," Devi said with a large, bright grin. "It comes and goes," she assured Bella, giving another dazzling, childish smile.

Her ears laid back tight against her head, and she shook slightly with held back coughs. Her body seized for a moment, and she couldn't breathe, and then she could again. She coughed and sighed into her hand, dropping it away from her mouth and brushing it down her shirt. This pain would go away, although not as soon as she wished. There wasn't anything Bella could do - Devi knew what she had to do, and she knew how. It was just a matter if she wanted to do it or not.

Devi brushed her bangs out of her face, wiping off her brow. Why did she suddenly feel so damn warm?

[so sorry it sucks! ><]

Bella looked down upon Devi, a gentle frown gracing her features. The girl didn't seem to be fine. Bella, even if Devi said she was fine, paid no attention to Devi's attempts to say so, and picked the small being up. "We need to get you some water and rest, your very warm. Probably a fever." Bella was somewhat talking to herself, somewhat talking to Devi as she looked around the alley. "If I would have known this would have done something to you, I wouldn't have touched you. I usually only like to kill very quickly. I hate being responsible for people's death's. " It was true. Bella was not a vampire by choice, and sometimes it made her upset to take people's lives. To have someone die in your arms everyday was....well... pretty upsetting!

Bella, who was now wondering aimlessly around the alleyway, suddenly stopped and looked down at Devi.

"Devi, what do you usually do when you get like this?" It was a simple question. Bella hoped that Devi wasn't to protective to answer, or stubborn. Some people we're stubborn and failed to admit that they were sick. But Bella could tell. Bella could tell that Devi was in bad condition. What to do... What to do...
