First poem...ever had one of those days where you have an urge to write something, yet you don't know what to write? Well, this poem is dedicated to that. And it's appropriately titled:

"Writer's Block"

Sitting at my desk one day
Pen tapping, thoughts snapping
Coming, going, to-and-fro-ing
Hitting a wall along the way.
That darn wall, made of metal and stone
“Writer’s Block in big red letters
Seething, writhing, shouting, screaming
Going through my head all day

The bane of all writers, old and new
The doom of all novelists, amateur and pro
Standing, guarding, blocking, barricading
The point where pen meets paper, I say.
A thousand or more thoughts in a mile-long line
All with the desire to get out
Trying, attempting, failing to destroy
This Writer’s Block that’s in the way

Then a lone thought has had enough
Take this! Take that! The thought thinks
Punching, kicking, sledge hammering
The block falls and the thought has its way
The Block attempts to rebuild itself
The thought makes it through, though
Pouting, cursing, obscenely shouting
The Block stands again, feeling like it’s made of clay

Then the thought comes to me as a spark
I know what to write right now!
Scribbling, sketching, words forming
Already, a page is filled like a bail of hay
From there it goes, twenty pages
The wall has no chance to fight back
Finishing, rereading, beaming proudly
My story is finished to see today.

But what should I write next, you say?
I sigh…Writer’s Block has come back to play.

That's just the first of many poems I have! :D
