Sybil was sitting on a large stone by the river, watching as the liquid ran frothy over bumps and stones on the riverbed. She didn't mind sitting away from the crowd only a few yards away, as she had nothing to fear from the Mordecai.
She pulled the hood of the sea-green cloak further over her hair to hide her orange color. Her Horse waded through the calm edges of the river, taking long slurps of it. It was a cold day, and the wind blew right through her, or so it felt.
She thought of her friend, now only a little bit away, in fact, she could nearly see her ranch at the top of the hill if she squinted. In her mind, Sybil estimated it would be about another half hour journey... Feeling into her pocket, she checked to see if her specially cooked chocolate and caramel sweets had survived the journey so far.
She took no notice of the broody looking man until he went to sit on a rock near her. She turned her head, "Hi." She said, raising one hand politely in greeting. Her voice was meek as he seemed slightly intimidating in his general appearance. After all, he was wearing armour, and she was wearing wool. But it wasn't only that, something on his face showed a fierceness... It was a bit frightening to be honest.
