The best way to get started is to write up a profile of your character. You can find one here (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?topic=7898.0).
After that check out the plotting center forum. Its an OOC forum that let's you find threads for your character to be a part of. I don't recommend just making an open thread only because a lot of people won't see it unless you advertise it!
