The force of his hand connecting with her cheek sent Lilira to the ground. She saw it coming, saw his hand rise and come at her as if in slow motion, but she couldn't move. All she could do was stare into the eyes of a man who hated her, and brace herself for the pain... and boy did it hurt.
"Hows darsh you takesh her awayyy frolm me!" Birchis cried, his voice slurring as the effects of his drunkenness took a hold of his speech as he took another swig from the bottle, glaring down at Lilira on the floor like she was scum. What Birchis saw before him through his alcohol glazed eyes wasn't an innocent 17 year old, but rather her biological elf father that impregnated her 'fathers' wife. She couldn't blame him - nothing about her said 'Thanti', so it was easy to see how, in his drunk state, he could have become confused.
As she lay there on the floor, helpless, she forced the tears that were threatening to spill over back as her face continued to burn. Her eyes - an elvish grey - took in her surroundings, and she realised she was backed into a corner. She couldn't escape. Birchis continued to stare down at her, wobbling slightly, a snarl etched permanently onto his mouth "Thashhh righh... you shtay dowrn" he snarled, as Lilira's stomach instinctively clenched as the hard leather boot slammed into her stomach. Lilira couldn't help but gasp in pain, ass all the air was forcefully knocked out of her. This seemed to satisfy the drunkard, as he proceeded to turned and shuffle away to a nearby seat, and Lilira allowed a sigh of relief to escape her lips as the sound of soft snoring promptly followed. Thank the gods that's finally over she thought, eyeing Birchis warily as she proceeded to stand slowly, both out of pain and caution, (she did NOT want to risk waking him up) Judging by the amount he drank he should be out for a few hours this time. Clutching her stomach, Lilira made her way carefully over to the door, but not before chucking on her hooded cloak. Making sure her clearly obvious elvish brunette hair, pointed ears and pale skin were covered, Lilira slipped through the door and out into the sun, taking only a moment to relish its warm touch on her face before she began running towards the forest that surrounded the outskirts of their farm. Like she mentioned before, Lilira only had a couple of hours to herself before Birchis woke up, so she wasn't going to waste one second.
