Peaches n Cream was definately a different brothel. Aside from having an owner like Peach, and with everyone acting like one big family of course.
It also had a ghost.
Of course, nobody knew this ghost existed. All they got was the butt end of all the pranks it pulled.
Yes, it was a prankster ghost.
There was a scream from one of the rooms as one unfortunate prostitute found the latest prank he had laid out.
Laughing, Juo floated up toward the ceiling. He never did get tired of that! Grinning in his usual lopsided way, he pondered on who else he could prank tonight.
His hair was long and red, and rather shaggy on his head. His eyes were gray, and his skin was pale, though all this was semi-transparent. He was thin, too thin, wearing tattered clothes on his frame.
He had died from cold and starvation. He couldn't help being as skinny as he was.
But of course, Juo didn't really know how he looked, nor did he care. He had been a little trouble maker in life, and it had carried on into his afterlife as well.
He had died young at 16, and had lived a hard life, but it obviously hadn't affected his devious personality one bit!
A shiver ran up Star’s spine and she looked around frantically. Just because she was a shinobi didn’t mean she wasn’t scared of anything. But then, the only thing that really scared her was Liura, her personal lesbian stalker. …so…where was she? Her eyes examined the hallway closely, waiting. …Liura wasn’t one to hide…come to think of it, she just got a chill, she had not heard Liura call for her. Oook…so what was it then?
Star took a step back but made no sound with her black tabi socks. Wait…her green eyes looked down the hall toward the screams she'd barely heard in her panic of being attacked be the scary woman who called her ‘Starry’. Her body froze. Easy to see as her clothes, a high collared shirt and long pants, the ends tied by a black wrapping, were very tight. Sort of arguing with the point of being fully covered, she even wore black gloves.
There was a transparent guy coming up through the floor…
Holy hell, a ghost!
At least…that would have been a normal reaction. And Star was defiantly not normal. She walked over calmly, short, bushy black hair swishing a little. “Uh, hello?�
Juo was used to being unseen by everyone. Even when he wasn't purposefully making himself invisable, people just didn't see him.
Until now, apparently.
He knew there was no one else around. He knew it. But suddenly somebody had appeared, and was talking to him.
"Gah!"
Startled, Juo jerked and turned, staring blankly at the woman all in black. Man those were some tight clothes...
Avert eyes to her face!!
He just blinked at her for a few minutes, wondering if she was actually talking to him. He looked around, just to make sure.
Nope, nobody else around...
"Uh, hello..."
She could see him?? Honestly??
"You...you can see me??"
Star giggled. A jumpy ghost eh? Should be fun. The ninja girl blushed a little when she noticed he wasn’t exactly looking at her face. She was a petite girl of 17 and had a rather nice figure, but she was unused to people staring at her like that. Then again she wasn’t usually seen. Star kept to the shadows when she wasn’t in her room, the attic. …Or maybe it was that she didn’t notice, she could be quite oblivious sometimes…
She blinked in turn with him. Then she tilted her head a little, raising a brow as he looked around. What was he doing? Star blinked again and tilted her head the other way, making her look rather cute. She gave her cheerful smile, “sure I can�
Star had an acute sixth sense. And had seen a few ghosts before, he was not the first to act so surprised. But what was he doing here? …well that was a stupid question, it’s a brothel…
"Oh...uh...heh..."
Well...crap! Cool that somebody could actually see him for once but...

He had been banking on nobody knowing he was here. That way pranking people was all the more amusing. But now she knew he was around...

Floating just alittle off the floor, Juo crossed his semi-transparent arms over his semi-transparent chest.
"So...um...could you maybe...not tell anybody I'm here...?"

Usually he was the one doing the blushing!
Ironic considering he was in a brothel...
Star blinked again and put her hands on her hips. Usually ghosts got rather excited when she told them she could see them. This one seemed rather mellow. She watched as he crossed his arms, realizing how skinny he was. Star would tell him to eat more, but…well, he was dead. She was looking at him closely as she thought this, not minding whether he was shy or not. Then she looked up to his eyes almost missing what he said. Star gave him a confused look, tilting her head again, it seemed a common expression for her.
“Um…sure? …Why?� Then she grinned, “don’t want the girls to know they have a supernatural spy?� Ghost or not he was still a guy. She blinked, “unless you’re gay…but you were staring at me so unless you’re bi you like girls. Well it’s too bad, if you weren’t a ghost and had money you could have some fun around here. Wait…can ghosts have sex?�
That was how Star normally talked, without thinking.
Juo blushed furiously at her words, his semi-transparent cheeks suddenly alight with a pinkish-gray overtone.
"I don't spy on the girls!"
He then jerked at the next part.
"Or guys!!"
But it just kept getting worse...
"Gah, I'm straight, I'm straight!! And I'm only here to prank people and...what!?"

Juo dipped toward the ground, his feet landing on it with a thud as he went solid. Not having expected to suddenly be standing, Juo stumbled backward and ended up on his rump, blinking inredulously at Star.
"W-why the hell do you want to know that!?" Who the crap asked stuff like that anyway???
What sort of girl (in tight clothes!!) was she anyway???
Star blinked as he suddenly fell to the ground. Wait…he didn’t fall through…he was solid? That’s a pretty neat trick. She walked over and sat by him, then she poked him in the side a few times. How weird. Star grinned, “I didn’t know you could go solid on accident!� Then Star giggled. “Well it’s not something people really think about is it? I’m just curious is all!�
She then pulled out a notebook and pencil out of one of the wrappings on her arms. She was about to start writing when she blinked and looked at him. “Hey what’s your name anyway? I’m Star!�
Yes, she was always this cheerful and random. Of course now she was little excited, she was talking with a ghost after all, how often does she get to do that? Star was incredibly curious and the opportunity to learn something nobody else knew always got her going. She spent most of her time sneaking around and spying, she loved knowing secrets.
"I...I didn't know that either..." He mumbled in response. He had never gone solid on accident before!
His wide gray eyes stared nervously at her as she came to sit by him, his blush fading but not completely (there was a girl sitting next to him, after all).
He jerked as he was poked, trying to bend his way to the side so she couldn't continue doing that.
What was with this girl...?
He stared at the notebook, then returned his eyes to hers as she asked for his name.
"Oh, er...hello Star. My name is Juo...what are you going to do with that?"
And he hadn't even thought of pranking her yet...
Wow, she really must have him off-balance!
Star smiled and started writing, ignoring his question for the moment. The previously blank page now read with the title ‘Juo’s Abilities’ and was followed by ‘incorporeal’, ‘floating’, and ‘solidify’. She looked back and was about to speak when she noticed his pinkish gray cheeks. She smiled brightly and added ‘blushing’. “I’m just writing all the stuff you can do,� she finally answered, holding the list out so he could see.
Then Star blinked, randomly remembering what Juo said that didn’t regard to his sexual interests. …It was rather surprising she did actually. “So, you prank people huh? Why?� Star grinned and crossed her arms, “sure you don’t spy on the girls?� This kind of random curiosity was bound to get her in trouble…
Juo blinked again. The...stuff he could do?
"Why do you care about that?"
He stared blankly at the notepad as she held it out to him. He had grown up on the streets, and had never been taught how to read or write.
"I can't read." He informed her blandly, and half expected her to make a list of what he couldn't do as well.
What a strange girl...
His attention was averted as she asked about his pranking. He smirked.
"Cuz that's what I'm good at!" And he'd been doing it all his life, and afterlife, too!
Juo then jerked to the side, away from Star, blushing yet again.
"No, I do not spy on the girls!!"
Gah, what was wrong with her!?
Star blinked and gave a very confused look, she found the question rather silly really. She smiled brightly, “because I’m curious of course!� She did not find the inability to read as a surprise, well aware that not everybody knew how.
What kind of boy doesn’t spy on girls? How weird. Then she shrugged, done bothering about it for now. Star grinned, “If you say so. Anyway, what sort of pranks do you do? What ever you can think of or you do you have a certain style?� Also something she couldn’t help being curious about. Star preferred being a trickster shinobi to the silent killer type, so Juo being a prankster was basically saying he was into the same thing as her. Causing some trouble every once and a while.
Of course Juo didn’t face the prospect that he might get fired for too much mayhem. But Star avoided it by doing three things. One, make sure your victims are not ‘working’ at the time. Two, make sure you don’t damage or otherwise destroy any of the more valuable things. Three, make sure you don’t maim or kill anybody.
"Curious...?" He mumbled in response. She really was a strange one...
Jerking, Juo hunched up and pouted. She didn't believe him...
He didn't spy on the girls dammat! Ugh...

"I do all sorts of stuff. Just depends on what's around and who I'm pranking..." He responded huffily, looking away with his arms crossed over his chest as he sat there on the floor. Although, by the tone of her voice, he almost thought...

He finally glanced over at her from his pouty head-turn.

Juo again averted his eyes, hunching up more.

Star nodded as he explained his work. His way was almost the total opposite of hers. She did do what ever came to mind, but because of her own rules to make sure she still had a job here, she had to plan her tricks carefully. That wasn’t too hard, not when you consider Star knew the whole building and all the people in it.
She smiled, “Well I don’t get much work around here until night time. So unless I’m sleeping, I do play one or two pranks to keep myself entertained.� Star lied. There was one more, much bigger reason she was constantly running around. She did it to avoid Liura. Not that it ever worked, Star had the ability do dodge everything…but her. “So, what did you do to the girls downstairs?� She was still curious about the screams.
Much work...until nighttime...??

Alittle to embarrassed to ask, Juo kept his eyes carefull averted and instead concentrated fully on the rest of what she said.

She became a little confused when he kept avoiding her gaze. But Star got confused rather often so it probably wasn’t anything major. He just seemed nervous for some reason. Star giggled. Garter snakes, no wonder they screamed.
She blinked and tilted her head, a light blush on her face. A normal woman would feel rather annoyed at least by such a question. Truth is…Star was flattered. She giggled at pointed to herself…right in the middle of her chest, probably not the best place to draw attention to…but Star wasn’t known for thinking such things through. “You think I’m a prostitute?! That’s nice of you, but no. I just work the special effects around here.�
“Starry!� Immediately Star froze up and looked like she was about to bolt. Just at that moment an older woman came from behind Star and nearly squeezed her to death with a hug. She had long black hair that was tied at the end and wore a nearly transparent robe with a floral pattern on it.
Star twitched, “get the hell off Liura!�
She just smiled coyly and grabbed one of Stars breasts, “I have to pleasure you before I do that.�
The shinobi girl squeaked in surprise and shot up to the ceiling. She stood upside down, blushing and covering her chest protectively. “Dammit, don’t do that!�
And of course, Juo looked when she pointed, then quickly snapped his eyes back to hers. She was...blushing...?
Wait, she was flattered that he thought she was a whore??

...She was just too strange for words.
"Oh...Well, that sounds fu-" Juo blinked and jerked at the shout, about to go invisable (just in case) when somebody was hugging Star from behind.

It took wide-eyed Juo a moment to even react, that visual permanently burned into his brain as he was left to stare at yet another set of breasts that were not very hid at all in that robe.

Floating back through the floor, Juo hovered toward Liura, then put something big and black on her shoulder, a smirk on his face.
That big and black thing happened to be one gnarly looking spider.
“Aw come on Starry! Please?�
“Never!� Then Star blinked. …She wasn’t fond of spiders…but Liura was absolutely terrified of them. Juo had certainly gotten what he aimed for. Star braced herself for the scream and pointed to Liura’s shoulder, “Uh…Liura…�
Liura blinked as well but didn’t pay attention. The only thing that registered in her brain was that Star was finally paying attention to her. “Yes Starry,� she purred.
Star twitched a little at Liuras tone but continued. “…your shoulder.�
“Eh,� she looked to her shoulder finally. Her pupils dilated and she froze. For a minute Star though she fainted standing up. Then Liura shrieked and hastily wapped the spider away before running down the hall and around the corner.
Star blinked and hopped back down to the floor beside Juo. “…where did you get that spider?�
Juo was laughing silently behind Liura as he watched Star try and point out the great hairy beast he had placed on her shoulder. He was actually clutching his stomach with one arm, his other hand over his mouth. One eye was actually squinty with his barely contained laughter.
This was gonna be good.
The black spider stared back at Liura with its many eyes before being swept rather harshly to the floor.
Well, how rude! He wasn't even doing anything to her...
In any case, as soon as Liura was gone screaming, Juo burst into laughter.
"That was great!"
It took a moment for his laughter to abate, and then he had to try and remember what Star had asked him.
Oh, right, the spider.
"When I sunk through the floor, I plucked him from the ceiling." There were perks to being a ghost, after all.
Star blinked. That meant he had to have grabbed it while incorporeal…
She smiled and jotted down beside incorporeal ‘can make other things do this as well’. Star put it away and looked to where Liura had run off. “I don’t think she’ll come down this hall for a while…I should take advantage of that…�
It was one of the main reasons she kept moving, because someway somehow Liura was actually able to catch Star. Nobody else could do that, she always dodged anything that came her way. But not a certain lesbian stalker. It was like some freaky curse, what did she do to deserve this?
“Hey, have you always been playing pranks on people or did that come after becoming a ghost?�
There she went, keeping notes on him yet again.
Why was that so annoying to him??
Was it because he couldn't read it, and didn't actually know what he was writing about him...?
Well in any case, it bothered the hell out of him...!
But he was easily distracted.
"Me? Naw, I've been doin this my whole life! Causin trouble is my one great talent!" He grinned in a cute, lopsided manner and looked quite proud of said talent.
He'd been a hellion on the streets, and now he was an undead hellion in the brothel!
But now that his prank was done, he was left to think about earlier events...

"So...uh...what was with that other girl anyway...??"
Star had foolishly hoped he wouldn’t ask that question. She suddenly got a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of her head, giving a small nervous laugh. Oh well.
“Eheh, her name’s Liura. She clung to me one the first day here saying how cute I was and how she couldn’t wait to make me moan. It’s been that way for the last couple of years now…�
The only real way to avoid Liura was to hide in her room. Star laid traps out specifically for her, and the whole brothel knew about it. If anyone one needed Star they would just pound on or yell at the door until Star appeared next to them. Liura was just too focused on getting near her to remember or care. The shinobi girl blinked. “She didn’t see you did she? Am I the only one who can?�
She suspected she was, but Star had to ask anyway, force of habit. How would the others react to having a ghost in the brothel? Not all of them would be all right with that. Some may leave. Others would try to get rid of him. And if he kept going like this they would learn of him eventually, not all of them were dense like Liura…
Juo twitched alittle at the explination, a faint blush spreading across his ghostly skin. That girl...wanted....another girl...

Clearing his throat, he was glad to be off of that particular subject.
"Oh, uh...I don't think she did. Usually I go invisible just to be sure, but I didn't get a chance...Maybe you are the only one who can see me." She was weird enough for it, anyway.
Of course, Juo never thought about what would happen if the people in the brothel figured out they were being haunted, or what might happen if he was caught.
Honestly, at this point, he felt pretty invincible.
"Ah well, it don't matter though. As long as you don't snitch on me, I can keep pranking away, no problem."
Star nodded as he explained, “that’s good.� If they couldn’t see him he was less likely to be found out.
Then she twitched. “No you can’t! Not that often anyway, even if they can’t see you they’ll get real suspicious and start looking for someone to blame. And since they never see you they’ll think it’s me! Not to mention that if they fire me and find it’s still happening they’ll know it’s something else. And if they suspect a ghost they might hire someone to exorcise you, which would not be very fun I’d guess.�
That would really suck. Star didn’t want to get fired, she loved this place, even if it meant being within 50 feet of Liura at all times. Not to mention what might happen to Juo if things got out of hand…
Juo jerked slightly at her shouted words at first. She sure had his attention now!
But the more he listened, the more he seemed to hunch, until his head was nearly hanging, his shoulders rolled all the way forward.
No more constant pranking???
There was a very distinct frown on the ghost boy's face.
"Aww, but...but...but it's the only thing that keeps me from getting bored!! I gotta prank em....it's what I'm good at! I mean..."
He frowned more, crossing his arms in an almost pouty gesture and pulling his legs up so he could sit indian style...in thin air.
"It's not like I want ya to get fired or nothin...but...what else am I supposed ta do around here?"
She grew a bit more worried as she noticed him hunch. Star hadn’t really meant to yell like that, it just sort of…came out. Like every other sentence, seeing as she never thought before speaking…
He really has nothing better to do? …how easily bored does this guy get? Then she watched him float up and sit n the air with the slight pout about him. She couldn’t help but giggle for a moment.
Star blinked at his next statement. What else? “Find out if you can have sex or not?�
…She never seemed to stray long from that subject for long did she?
His hunch deepened a bit as she giggled at him, and he turned his head away. Bah, now she was laughing at him...
What a wonderful day this had turned out to be.
And then Juo literally fell out of the air, landing with an audible thud on the floor.
"WHAT!?"
Why would she suggest that!? What...what...gah!
She was out of her mind!
Sitting up, there was a brilliant (though technically a shade of gray) blush all over his face. Brushing some of his washed-out red hair from his face, he gave her an indignant glare.
"Why'd you bring that up!?"
As he said this, he rubbed the side of his face that had impacted with the floor. That had hurt...
Star blinked. He fell again. What was his deal? She just said he could go figure out whether he could have sex or not…what was wrong with that? Juo was a ghost now, who knows if he could or couldn’t ‘do it’? It was a perfectly logical question…in her mind.
The inner workings of Stars brain are not very complex…
She smiled at his blush, finding his embarrassment of the situation cute. The ninja shrugged, “because I’m curious of course. I mean you’re a ghost now…huh,� Star blinked and looked at him, pondering, a hand on her chin. Then she looked to the ceiling in thought. “I wonder if you could get someone pregnant. …I wonder what the kid would be like…half ghost?� She was only half paying attention as she thought, honestly thinking about it.
Juo flew up and waved his arms frantically.
"Argh, stop talking about it already!! Why would you want to know that??? And ahh, I wouldn't even WANT to get someone pregnant in the first place!!"
What was wrong with this girl?? Who asked a ghost if they could have sex??
Not only was she talking to him, a ghost, like it was no big deal, but she was asking questions no-one in their right mind would ever ask!

She blinked again, finally picking up on the fact Juo was talking to pick up that last part. Was she crazy? Perhaps it should have made her feel insulted, but no, Star was not normal. The question didn’t strike her as rude or even strange. As, not surprisingly, she had been asked that before.
Star smiled. “Maaaybe. It depends on your definition of crazy. If being curious, talking to ghosts, thinking out loud, and working at a brothel qualify…then yes. I am crazy.� Then she added in a much more cheerful note, “but I prefer ‘easily amused’!�
“Anyway, it’d be pretty easy to find out. I mean, it’s much easier for guy to make himself climax. Cuz I don’t think the girls would be too keen on having sex with a ghost…besides the fact that they can’t see you in the first place.� She blinked a few times and giggled, “I guess that just leaves me if you want to have real sex.�

Juo blinked as Star honestly answered him about being crazy.

"Alright, at the very least you're strange...ok, and easily amused..." He admitted, glancing away begrudgingly.

Yep, Juo had fallen to the ground again. It seemed that everytime he floated back into the air, she said something so...so...gah! Anyway, he kept ending up on the floor.
Finally, he bounced back up, an idignant blush across his face.
"What is wrong with you!? You just offered to have sex with a ghost!! Honestly, think about that! Agh!!"
Then he twirled away from her, trying to get the vivid blush to leave his cheeks.
She just offered to have sex with him! What...what...what!?!
Star laughed as he fell to the floor again. Why was that so amusing? His shy manner was so cute to her, and the overreactions he made just added to it. Her laughter died down to soft giggles a he came back up.
She blinked as he yelled at her and turned around. Miscommunication. “I don’t remember offering. I was just saying I would be likely the only one you could ‘do it’ with. Especially seeing as I’m the only one here who knows you exist. Besides, I’m not that easy.�
Star grinned and made an attempt at slapping his back, knowing there was a chance her hand would go through. And so she came to sit beside him, arms folded behind her head…which of course stretched the material of her shirt and made her chest a bit more noticeable again. “Anyway, I’m curious again. Do you haunt a specific area around here?�
Juo hunched as Star explained, feeling all the more stupid as she spoke. Yeah, the ghost was pouting. Arms crossed, he refused to turn around and look at her as he hovered just a few inches off the floor.
Of course, she decided just then to smack him on the back, and indeed she was met with solid force.
"Ow!"
Juo jerked forward and rubbed at his back, turning a bit to look at her as she sat herself down.

Blushing once more, Juo turned his head away with a huff, his arms again crossed as the sting left his ghostly back from her smack.
"No, I haunt all over the place..." He answered, nearly mumbling in his disgruntled state.

One could suppose if he really got fed up, he could always just sink through the floor or something, so he obviously hadn't reached that point yet.
That, or he just hadn't thought of it yet.
Star tilted her head. The whole brothel ey? Interesting, ghosts usually had a focus…then again Juo’s only focus seemed to be causing mischief. Wait a sec…
She unhooked her hands from behind her head and put them to the floor, leaning forward a bit. This ended up putting even more attention to her bosom, being pressed together by her upper arms. If she didn’t have such a one-track mind one would think she did these things on purpose, but no. Star was just that clueless. The shinobi blinked and had a very intrigued look on her face.
“So…that mean you been in my room then?� It would and wouldn’t surprise her really. Wouldn’t because he was a ghost and honestly could go about his business like that. Would because hardly anyone went into her room, too much trouble, being on the highest floor and her job was only requested by a few. Likely the reason for the small attic room, but Star didn’t mind.
…And of course...there were her Liura traps…

She then tilted her head the other way. What’s his deal? Star was completely unaware he was staring at her chest. She did catch she was making him uncomfortable, she backed off and sat cross legged to give him some room. Then Star crossed her arms right under her chest, not making the view any less interesting.
She still didn’t get it…
Star smiled a little, no surprise. She was really only in her room if she was bored or sleeping, both usually happening in the day, night was a little busier for obvious reasons… “Well I was just thinking you could hang out in my room if you weren’t pulling a prank on someone or you got bored or something. Less chance of people noticing you.�

Juo turned around a bit again to look at her, not exactly sure if he heard her right.
And...

Juo's eye twitched, and he quickly redirected his eyes to Star's face, staring at that and only that, dammit.
"Oh....well...Sure, I guess. Thanks...I mean, um, thank you." Well...that was awefully nice of her.
Seemed that, quite to the contrary of snitching on him, she was giving him a hideout.
"You...ah...sure you don't mind...?"
She found the eye twitch odd, but this time she actually knew why. Star had noticed that his eyes must have been somewhere else to cause him to have to look up at her. She blushed lightly but said nothing.
Yay, he said yes! Why was she so excited? Well….she had no idea, the thought of having Juo around made her happy for some reason though. Star smiled brightly. “Course I don’t mind, I offered didn’t I? Anyway, I guess I should lead ya there to make sure you know which one it is.� With that she got up and motioned him to follow her.

Her clothes were just as tight on her hindquarters…
Star lead him to the top floor, finding the trap door in the ceiling and pulling the small rope to bring the stairs down. She easily hopped up two of them and into her room…or rather the storage room she happened to sleep in. It was split between her little living space and the storage stuff, which Star kept organized for Peach, figuring she was right there anyways and may as well do something else a bit useful. Her side of the room was simple, a set of Drawers against the wall and her bed in the middle, along with an actual chest at the foot of the bed. Wonder what she kept in there?
She strode over to her side, She had made sure it was far from the door for reasons relating to a certain Liura, and sat on the bed. Star smiled and waved a hand, “my room. It’s nothing special, but I like it.�
Well...yeah, that was true. He supposed she wouldn't have offered if she wasn't totally ok with it...
Then again, this was Star he was talking about. She could have said it without thinking, too.
But, again, she had just reassured him, so...
He couldn't complain, right?
....Dammit! Why did she have to wear such tight clothes???
Grimacing, Juo stayed just to the left of her, staring nearly straight ahead for fear of his wandering eyes.
Stupid tight clothes, stupid tight clothes, stupid tight clothes...
"Oh, I've been up here before."
He then blinked as he glanced around.
"You sleep in the attic? Weren't there any, ya know...rooms open??"
And he was careful not to look at or think about Star...on the bed...
Stop thinking, brain!!
Star twitched a little, giving an awkward smile. “And be closer to Liura? No way. That’s one reason, the other being I like to be in the higher floors of a building. Not sure why, maybe something to do with being a shinobi.�
She was again oblivious to his thoughts and lay back on the bed. Star again folded her arms behind her head and stared at the ceiling. “I’d say the only problem it that it looks a little gloomy from the lack of light. I’ve been thinking of asking Peach if I could put in a skylight or something� She lifted an arm and pointed at a part of the ceiling to signal the area she planned on changing, just a little off from the bed. Star smiled gently as she replaced her arm to its original position.
It would be really fun to see the stars at night…
Juo blinked, then chuckled at her words.
"Oh, the lesbian stalker...ok, that makes sense."
There it was again...the shinobi thing...
What exactly was a shinobi anyway???
He was about to ask when he made the mistake of looking at her.
She was laying on her bed...
GAH!
It was her bed to lay on, but still!
Juo turned away and crossed his arms.
"What exactly is a 'shinobi' anyway??"
Well, aside from her. He just didn't get what that word meant.
In any case, she was pointing to the spot where she wanted her sky light.
Tilting his head, Juo calmly floated up and stuck his head and upper body through the ceiling. He could see out across the town, the tops of all those buildings...
Mmm...It was kind of nice. Relaxing in a way.
Sighing, Juo floated back down and recrossed his arms, also pulling his legs in indian style in his usual gesture as he floated there.
"I'd say that's a pretty good spot to put a light."
She again grinned sheepishly. Yup, lesbian stalker.
Star blinked at his question but didn’t move at all, in spite of his thoughts, to answer. “Well…it depends really. On what their master wants. Some shinobi are assassins, others are con artists, spies. But whatever we do it’s while being covert, it’s in the job description, not to get caught doing what we’re hired for. I do the special effects around here, but you wouldn’t even know I’m there.�
A smile came to her face as Juo half floated in her room. She doubted she would ever tire of his ghostly abilities. Star smiled and stretched out a bit, hands lying above her head, “I had hoped so. Anyways, you can stay here whenever. I’m usually only in here when I’m planning a prank or sleeping.� It of course never crossed her mind to warn him that she only slept in her underwear.
Not at all.
Juo made sure to keep his eyes away from the bed and Star. She just kept laying or sitting or just...moving in ways that seemed to accentuate various curvy parts of the female anatomy.
It was driving him up the walls!
Or would that be through them...?
"So you're like...what's the word..."
He sighed, trying to form what he wanted into words.
"Like...a not-so-shady shinobi. Doing special effects instead of going around killing people or stealing information"
Well, that was close enough.
Nodding, Juo thought about her offer. Well, he could always just try avoiding her room when she was sleeping...
Not that he had any clue as to when she usually slept...
"Er, well alright. When do you normally sleep? I'll try and give you your privacy then"
Star giggled as the ghost tried to figure out what he was saying. Why did he bother? He should just say what comes to mind! Surprising she didn’t get into more trouble than she did for just talking…but then, Star didn’t really have anyone to talk to. She never spoke to the customers and kept to herself most of the time.
…and there was no way in hell she was gonna talk to Liura…
The woman couldn’t finish a thought without fondling her, let alone carry a decent conversation.
She nodded, bright smile on her face, “something like that.� The shinobi blinked at his next question. …When do I normally sleep? Star smiled awkwardly, “eheheh, well…whenever I’m tired really, usually during the day though. Sorry about that, I can’t really tell you when not to be in here. Hmm…there’s always just warning me before you actually come in…if it bothers you anyways.�
