In all her travels, to all the places she's been asked to go or just wondered through, she had to admit she liked jungles the most. Being an Amora meant she was basically part of the earth herself. Everything she touch or saw seemed to speak to her in some way. But, this time she wasn't here because she was sent, she was simply wondering again. It was hard for her to remain in one place.

Right now, she had no idea where she was at, but she wasn't minding that at all. It was night, darkness had fallen many hours ago. Before her floated a ball of light, something she'd known how to do since she became what she was now. She had no knowledge of being born, or even being a child and she never questioned it. Stopping she'd push the hood of her battered cloak from her head and look around as she shifted the small pack over her shoulder.

Brown hair spilled forth over her shoulders flowing downward to almost touch her thighs. Her eyes the color of the darkest emerald shifted as she looked around for a place to rest. The trees would be safer than the ground, she figured. Without a thought her mind went out and a vine lowered to the jungle floor. Taking hold with her free hand she settled on it like you would a swing. Letting the vine lift her to a near by tree that had a spot hulled out in it. She hadn't had to see it to know it was there. Setting her bag aside she'd pull off the cloak and cover herself before resting her head on her bag. It wouldn't be long until dawn came over the horizon and she'd be up and exploring again.

This jungle was nothing quite like home, but the humidity, thickness of the air, and temperature even in the nighttime, reminded him so much of the ash and heat of the volcanoes of Holmund.  This was as close to his old home as he would get for the time being and as long as he was here, he might as well find those pack of bandits Temple had given him the tip of that were lurking somewhere in this jungle.  It was just what he needed to turn in a couple of thugs to the local magistrate and collect the bounties on their heads.

Jehu grinned to himself as he continued on his path.  Though the weight of his gear was surely heavy, he thought not on his burden and of the atmosphere around him.  For the time, the wilds of the jungle kept their distance and left him to his peace, but he did not find that at all disturbing.  But it just felt so good to finally be in an environment that was so much more to his liking.  Searching for bandits in the middle of the night in the hot, humid jungle, was almost like hunting witches and evil mages through the smokes and fogs back on his native island.  Yet he wandered through the dense jungle trees like any other foreigner.

His dusty black hair, which blended into the shadows, was pulled up and away from his clay-red face, a face that was even opaque in the darkness.  And with his one good eye, he felt through the darkness, fearing that he would have to make camp before he could continue on.  Yet, he knew that if he did, perhaps the bandits would hear of his coming and disappear before he even arrived.  Because life refused to be fair, one must harness what time they had while they had it.  But then suddenly he felt his weight pass over several twigs that responded to him with an uproarious snap!  Crap, now the bandits really heard him coming now.

The jungle heat wasn't that appealed to her normal form but keeping her preferences in check, a slender panther slinked through the brush, it bright blue eyes seemed almost luminescent. It's head hung low, it's paws silent against the moist ground. The night time symphony was unusually quite tonight which meant that their were people in this lush forest. The creatures whispered their worries to one another, each word finding their way to the panther as it floated below the canopy.

Time seemed to stand still has the panther came to an opening, smaller animals sat gathered together grazing, bathed in a safety blanket of midnight. The panther sank to the ground, it mouth watered with anticipation. She coiled her muscles ready to pounce then snap!

Her prey ran from the sound as a group of what seemed to be bandits, coming through the bush, the smell of smoke and ash reeked from his clothes. They must have a camp nearby, "I thought I heard something" one whispered another shaking his head as they returned. She growled as turned away, petty thieves they appeared to be. She would have to look elsewhere for dinner.

Losing all traces of her previous prey to continued to where she had heard the sound. A heavily armor clad man, was romping through the jungle, trying to be quiet. The sound of his boots grated on her sensitive ears. She shook her head and climbed the tree above him and let out a small growl. Her cyan eyes glaring at him, "You're not succeeding you know" her voice was low and rich, like thick chocolate, "You manage to scare away my dinner" she licked her maw, a soft growl emanating from her throat in irritation.
