It was safe to assume that the fall had absolutely terrified Euzec.  So much so that he wasn't even sure he wasn't afraid of heights anymore.  Sure there were some random cliffs in the desert, but he'd never had it in his mind to jump own them.  But this occasion was different.  Very much in the fact that he did not jump of his own accord.  He'd been pushed!  He was certain of it!

Euzec wasn't sure if he'd broken anything, but he was still fighting to catch his breath and his head was hurting really back even if he'd hit the water.  Striking the surface can be nearly deadly if it is at the right angle.  "Kael!" he continued to call, half in anger and half in agony.

The women had noticed the dragon and were not quite sure what to make of the creature as it swooped down toward them.  Many back away and one or two ran back through the woods.  But those that stayed (or was it frozen in fear) definitely listened to what he had to say.  Perhaps out of fear or of sympathy (it was difficult to tell which), they promptly lifted up Euzec's dizzy form and dragged him off to where they came from, following the direction where the few deserters were headed off.

Euzec vaguely saw Kael come down to his 'rescue'.  But he would hardly call it that.  He'd have to remind himself to have some stern words with the large reptilian later.  If there was a later.

"We will find time to converse later. So focus on taking care of your body. You gave me quite the scare with such a tumble. I will not ever let such a clumsy guy near ledges again."

The young dragon had tried to sound worried but the more he tried the more it looked and sounded like he was talking to his food and that was definitely not what he had hoped to convey. Lying and keeping a watchful eye on his travelling companion would after all be the ticket to communicate with these people and get results the fastest but he was a really shit actor

Good thing he was in his dragon form else he would have completely blown his own cover. Human faces and mannerisms added to such an emotionally basic thing was impossible with his current self.

Defeated by himself the dragon sighed, going back to observing the road they followed and watching the wounded puppy plan unfold before he ruined everything by his own accord.
The only scary bit here was that these folks definitely all understood common even if they did not speak it to each other's.

A silent prayer was sent to the goddess, hoping that Euzec could hold his tongue for later.

It was not long before they came upon a clearing in the woods where a collaboration of warriors had gathered. Obviously here because of the cowards that had ran ahead but there was more to it than that.

The carriers of Euzec had stopped, bowing before this woman while presenting the wounded man. She in return presented him with a half filled water skin, squirting some of the liquid towards his head. Ignoring him almost completely, eyes fixated on the prize. On Kael.

"Dragon, You will wait here. " Kael looked at the person intently. This woman was too confident, her clothes also looked more elegant and cared for than the rest of this rabble. Words bore weight in them too, did she expect him to obey?

True there was little choice if he wished to have them both survive and get information but admitting that openly would never happen.

"I will follow my wounded friend or you will all be dinner."

"If you must, do so as one of us and we will have come to an agreement."

"Under the goddess eyes it is so."

Uttering the word human in draconic while drawing on his magic, the dragon shape of his quickly faded in a puff of dark green smoke. It faded quickly revealing Kaels more human form to the world.

The black hair unbraided and unkempt, a star shaped scar in the middle of his chest. Surrounded by an intact black hooded cape and his rather comfortable, sturdy dragons leather pants kept up by a belt and naturally boots that matched in color.

The dragon could admit to being a dirty, rather angry looking mess of a man. It was his own fault for imagining himself like this during the transformation but even as this wreckage he still puffed out his chest and pretended to be king of the hill.

"I am Kael. If harm comes to Euzec while in your care, You will all face a dragons wrath. If he is healed you will face his gratitude instead."

He had wished to add a title but with such titles came things he no longer felt he had a claim in.
"I am Asanna..."
