After what seemed to be countless falls of armored men, the crowds could now tell where the commotion was centered. With the commons still in an outrage, they had ceased to panic, rather just watching Tel'reoth resist the authorities. It came to a point that the men of Uthlyn realized that a fight of blades would not best him to their favor. Getting as close to the shaded man would instigate the loss of a limb, or a sudden beheading. The approach to the spree had to be altered, and so it did. The guards brought back their strings and stayed their distances, readying bolts with aimed crossbows. Again they shouted in attempt to communicate.

"Drop your blade! This will end quite quickly if you so choose not to!" Called what appeared to be a captain of the guard, who clearly hid behind the confines of his own men, taking advantage of their dirty work.

With the many of bolts aimed directly at Tel'reoth, a volley like so would mean death; not even a narrow escape could be conjured for this situation. And it was there Tel'reoth halted, limped his arms, and dropped the blade to the cold and blood-stained ground. He did not move, make any sudden movements as they gathered about him, and always said nothing to any barking orders. Before long, Tel'reoth was cuffed and being shoved his way to a prison structure, likely with dark dungeons and dead cells. Tel'reoth looked back, observing the remaining men gathering the corpses to pile.

Gaius The Solemn

He heard the sickening thuds as arrows lodged themselves in his upper shoulders. He couldn't evade anything, he was a bright gold target. Oh, his poor armour, he rally is gonna have to make repairs after this is all done. He kept running though, he didn't feel the arrows, he couldn't feel anything for some reason. Probably too much power surges. Made him numb again. So many running people.

Gaius saw the chances, oh the so many chances. They could easily be harvested. But there's no time. They ran into the mass of people. The guards might know where they are, but they couldn't risk hitting the innocents. He pushed past the people, knocking a few over. A few guys stood in their way, "Hey! You aint goin' anywhere!" They rushed forwards trying to grab Gaius and hold him for the guards. Another memory flashed through his mind. Gaius sent his fist through one man's head. His arm went elbow deep, bloody and covered with fragments of skull. The other men started backing up. The guards were catching up.

The man's body collapsed to the ground Gaius's arm still embedded. He yanked directly upwards and broke through what was left of the man's skull. The guard were almost here.

"Get out of our way. Now." His tone was dead, robotic. The people around made a path to the nearest alley. They started again, the guards broke through the line of people. One rose a crossbow already loaded and cocked. "Don't you fucking move! I'll shoot you!" The guard took aim, but his arm shook, for some reason his couldn't fire. Guess it was Gaius's lucky day. They needed to either get out of Uthlyn or get unseen real fast.

They made it into the alley. Gaius stood in the opening for a second, and punched in the supports for the corner for one of the buildings. The building crumbled slightly and blocked off the exit. That would buy them some time. Gaius turned to Aelith, "That should buy us a moment to get out of sight." He looked down the alley, it was a narrow, quiet alley, ignoring the commotion on the other side of the rubble that is. He started running again, arrows still protruding out of his shoulders. The black ichor was starting to leak from him now as well. He saw up ahead, a man-hole of sorts. It looked like it would be big enough to fight their person through. He stopped and pulled the cover off.

The smell was absolutely horrid, the underdeveloped sewer systems carried everything for a long while. Gaius pulled back for a second, "This.. is not gonna be enjoyable... but it's better than caught and dissected." He climbed down, trying to be careful to not fall into the sewage that was pouring through the center of the tunnel. "It's fine down here.. More or less. I don't think they'll find us very easily down here."

He waited for Aelith to get down and he pulled the cover back into place. He reached for the first of many arrows in his shoulders and started to pull them out, he looked over to Aelith, "What is your name? We haven't had a moment introduce ourselves since our quick meeting."

Once inside their stinky, sewer haven, Aelith stared back up at the man hole and the light that filtered down upon them, the rays dancing and moving like a carousel. So much had happened, that it took a moment for the events to catch up to her, though she was drawn back to the present when Gaius spoke and asked her name. She turned to him, her eyes cool, like river stones as she simply replied, "Aelith." Then moved to step away from the man hole and against the stone 'streets' of the sewers. Foul waters were rushing past them, sweeping against her metal heels as she observed their miniature and quiet sanctuary of filth. Then, without so much as turning to Gaius, she began to walk down the way, her heels clicking and echoing in the darkness.

"It seems like they caught your friend," she stated, referring to Tel'reoth, whom she had witnessed, if only briefly, of him being surrounded and cuffed by the guards. "We were lucky. We might have been cuffed along with him." And her voice came out simple and she spoke directly to the point, if anything, her voice might have even sounded a bit bland as she continued to walk forward, pausing only when a rat squeaked and scurried past.

Wasn't this place just charming?
