The water was calm just off the coast of Yoreiq. There was absolutely no wind, resulting in the blue-green ocean appearing almost glasslike, and no delicate ripples to hint that any creature had recently penetrated the surface. The sun beamed down from almost directly overhead, suggesting that it was approaching the early hours of the afternoon.

Beneath the waves, however, things weren't nearly as uneventful. Schools of fish raced each other through underwater rock formations, and dolphins chirped happily, chattering amongst themselves. A small, human-like figure floated just feet beneath the surface, seeming extremely out of place at first glance; until you took a closer look. The slim Merperson kicked his tail, flipping himself upside-down, and extended his arm to the mass of creatures below.

After only a moment, a dolphin approached Murquine, and touched its nose to his outstretched fin. With a series of chirps, the Mercreature communicated with the beautiful being, asking permission to ride upon its back. With an understanding nod, the creature smiled the smile it was well-known for, and Murq cooed happily, wrapping his fin-arms around his neck. The dolphin almost immediately turned and raced down for a good twenty metres or so, then rotated 180 degrees and shot upwards.

Murquine laughed and clutched tighter to the dolphin's firm, grey-blue flesh. The water parted, and the two burst from the surface, turning a sharp arc midair and breaking the surface of the water with the smallest of splashes. Clicking his tongue, the humanoid clutched his small cloth bag, and asked the dolphin to carry him towards the nearby shore in search of an interesting item to add to his collection.

(I can add more if you want ^^)

Caerina

Sunsets along the Ocean were always a beautiful sight. The orange colors of the sky, dyed the water in all kinds of yellowish shades. Khanna wasn't someone who usually stopped to admire beautiful landscapes, most of the time she was so busy that she almost lost the track of day and night. But, as she was passing through, on her way to the Port to return to solid ground, she couldn't help it  but stop for a bit and watch. Usually, she avoided showing that she care for these mundane things, but today she was alone and allowed herself a small moment of weakness.

Walking through the sand she slowly touched the surface of the water. For her, who spent the whole day on the sun, the water was cool and soothing. It didn't make her uncomfortable but she still didn't like it. She didn't want anything to make her nice and comfortable, she liked being on the run, full of adrenaline and rush. Khanna also didn't think she deserved feeling good, after a history of things she did, hell it was a miracle she was still alive. But, no matter what happens around her, she somehow always is the last one standing. She still wasn't sure was that a gift or a curse.

As she dipped her hand deeper, wanting to catch an interesting rock beneath the surface of the clean water something snatched her ring. With a curse on her lips she took off her cloak, ready to follow the damn fish, or whatever it was. That ruby ring meant a fortune for her, it was a gift from someone and she wanted, no needed, it back as quickly as she could. Her armour wasn't too tough, since it was made from simple clothing and there was no chance she could drown. Still, she never liked large waters. WIth a deep breath she jumped in the cold water.

(no need, looking great! ^^)
