A content smile seemed to be unstoppable as Lillian walked at his side, stepping into the cool evening air in time to witness a breathtaking golden sunset. It was remarkable how beautiful it was, and here she couldn't remember the last time she had appreciated such a natural wonder.

"So many perfect things for one enchanted evening, don't you think? Maybe it is a sign that this was a day meant to be. Though I wonder to what end." Here the young noblewoman smiled at him with a hint of playfulness. She wasn't sure if she really believed that Ansgar sent signs to people, or that people could correctly interrupt them if he did, but it had been an unusually good day for her. Right on the eve of her departure to oversee some unknown mage prisoner.

"I suppose it would not have to end. Perhaps I could call on you on a later date?" he suggested, smile still plastered across his face. Why stop at just one wonderful evening when the pair could have many?

"Call on me all you like, though I don't know how often we'll be in the same place for you to be calling on me, but those are just the little details." Lillian wondered if it was even likely for Blaith to be in Reajh when she was not stationed elsewhere. It would be nice if they had another perfect opportunity like the one they'd shared today.

"Then I hope Ansgar wills it." Lillian laughed softly as he held the door open and she swept inside in a swirl of silken emerald skirts, very nearly dancing on her feet without any music anyway. It really was a shame that they had only been able to share a single dance.

Upon seeing the pair of the enter the shop, Francine rose her nose from her books.
"I see you two are back.. and at such an hour, you should realize I'd be closing soon."

"Forgive us, Francine. We've merely returned to pick up this White Lily's clothing."

And with a hmph, she eyed Lily over before snapping her fingers in a gesture for her to follow as she lead the way. "Follow me. I kept it in the back."

Not even the brisk and brash nature of the talented Francine could dampen Lillian's spirits right now, and so when the tailor snapped for her to follow, the young noblewoman trailed along behind her without complaint to the back.

With changing area private and secure, she was helped from the lovely dress and then quickly put back on her Knight's clothing. Yes, showing up in the dress and not her standard uniform would not have gone over well at all, this was a much better idea. Still, Lillian gave the dress a wistful, longing glance as she straightened a bit of armor with a sigh.

"I guess good things can't last forever." She grumbled softly.

"But the dress is yours," the woman said, focusing on folding it properly and tieing a bow around the box for her to take it home. "I'm sure you can find another time to wear such a remarkable dress." ANd once the woman was dressed back in her armor, she offered the boxed dress back to her.

"Yes, maybe." Lillian didn't sound convinced. Yes, the dress was hers, but to find another occasion on which to wear it would be a trying task, to be sure! It wasn't as if she got to dress up and dance at balls all the time anymore.

Smiling and thanking Francine for everything, she took the box and held it carefully, as if what was inside was priceless. Which, to her, it kind of was. The dress, fine as it was, was still just a dress. However, the pleasant feelings and memories now attached to the silk fabric was what made Lillian truly appreciate the treasure.

Heading back to the front of the shop she flashed Blaith a brilliant smile. "The evening air is cool, but let's enjoy our walk back to my barracks. Who knows when I'll have such a handsome escort again."

"Maybe one day we will, but for now, I'll take what I can get." Lillian said lightly as she took his arm and walked with him out of the shop. At that moment she had no idea what was in store for the future, but she was quite sure that any thoughts of real change were little more than idle fancy.
