Trying to expand on some character design I found this character questionnaire here via the SotE tumblr.

One of the questions especially made me think - usually when we roleplay the weather is good enough that characters can get out and do whatever it was that we created them to do. (Assassinate, go off to war, host a big knees-up...) But even in a fantasy world there must have been some downtime, when even the most driven mercenary had to put their plans on hold. The harder it is to imagine your character 'chilling out' the better for this game. ^^

So I want to know about your characters... What would they do on a rainy day?
Explore another dimension to your character - post below!

For example, Brin is a knight of Connlaoth, last seen chasing a thief across the roof-tops of Reajh.

But on a rainy day... Brin for example cleans his armour, gets bored, and goes for a walk in the rain. He'd stay out for around an hour - the last twenty minutes of which he'd spend cold, soggy and miserable, dragging it out to prove to himself that he went out for a decent length of time. Then he'd use 'being cold and wet' as an excuse to get his long-suffering housekeeper to draw him a hot bath, and self-righteously luxuriate with a book for the rest of the evening.

On a rainy day... Baklari finds himself staring at the sky, unfamiliar with the cold of the rain, and the feeling of rain drops on his carapace. He does this for about an hour, before wandering around, contemplating what life would have been like if he had been a human, somewhat envious of their simplistic and basic needs, and the trivial, menial tasks they have to do.

On a rainy day... Turnrin sits in an inn at a table, waiting for his dinner to arrive. He has his quill and ink out, and he's writing things in his notebook about that odd plant he saw a few miles back. He plans to go out tomorrow and see if he can find it again, because he didn't get a good enough look at it. He finds that he's run out of things to write, so he closes his notebook and stores his writing supplies. The food hasn't come yet, so he just sits and thinks. He gets to remembering his strained relationship with his parents, and how he can never see them again. He shakes his head. That was a long time ago and he shouldn't think about it. Besides, the food is here. Turnrin begins picking at his meal, all the while trying to banish the memory of his father screaming at him as he left the house.

On a rainy day... Isako walks around the Adachi manor, bored because she can't go out and hang around the sakura gardens. She disappears in her room for a moment, trying on different combinations of her dresses, and admiring herself in the large mirror on the wall as she brushes her silky black hair, falling onto her shoulders like a veil. Then, she comes out to present her newest fashion creation to Shinobu and Seiki - who, unfortunately, don't care about that too much. It's like they don't care about anything but fighting! Just katanas, Kido, spirits, martial arts and... She storms out, angry, and changes back into her usual attire to train with them for a while, but leaves after less than an hour to get her dinner. After that, it's just contemplating life above a bowl of dumplings, and hoping that tomorrow will have a much nicer weather.
