Stepping onto the horse in one swift motion, he drew Attie close and gripped onto the reigns. With one final nod to Audric, he gave a "HEEYA!" and kicked the horse's side sharply and tore off into the hillsides, away from the chaos of the sea and onward towards a destination unknown.
Should he go back to Castavar?
Or seek shelter elsewhere? The only thing he could think of was a decision he might regret later, but Attie had told him Merric knew she was alive. Maybe if he explained this to him...
But he swallowed that notion down. He wasn't fond of Merric, had never been-
