So I would like to post a bit about Lamia in case others want to make a character like that. Species information as it were. Where would I go about posting something like that?

I'd say probably the plotting board would be a good place to store the information as an option specie type for others to create. I haven't personally done this, as the few races I have created are normally 'the last of their kind' types and so their information tends to remain simply in their profile.
Adding a link to your specific character once you post the information will help any of those interested in creating one in the future, as well :)
