The dreams were sweet.

Though the field had been warm and the sunflowers bright. The roses climbing the arch way and surrounding the sun. Then the sunlight left and the warmth seeped away and she was left cold and alone.

Raizel woke slowly, eyes scanning the room, not having to look over her shoulder to know that she was alone. Sitting up Raizel pressed her palm to her eyes and and let out a sigh, fingers through hair. The bed was cold, which meant he was long gone.

Made sense.

With a leisurely pace she climbed out the bed and got redressed, did buckles up. Tucked shirt into pants and pants into boots. Raizel stretched and looked at the bed, giving a small smile and looking down and away. That was a slight pang that itched and clawed at her chest, abandoned. Left behind. Not good enough. Her gloved hand scrubbed at her face because her eyes burned for a moment and Raizel slung her backpack over her shoulder with another sigh.

Making sure she had all her things, Raizel rolled her shoulders, took one last look around... And left.

Onto a new place. Maybe new information. Someday.
