Her whole body felt like it was on fire.

Crystalline drops of mountain spring water caught on Ain's long golden lashes as she stood underneath the short waterfall, not too much taller than herself, as she rinsed off all the sweat. Despite being up in the mountains, the chilled air didn't do too much when you were working consistently for a few hours nonstop.

Stepping out from under the constant stream of water she shook her head, droplets flying, her long blonde hair sticking to her bare shoulders, chest and back. Wading through the stream, she found her shirt where she had left it on a rock jutting over the trickling current. Picking it up, she wiped the excess off her face and opened her eyes; bright and glittering like topazes, the direct sunlight that suddenly assaulted them made her squint. She'd been in that cave for too long. Not like it wasn't worth it though; her gaze drifted to her bag of precious treasures; ores and rough gems that she'd mined herself!

A smile broke out on her face and she could barely contain her excitement to herself. She'd struck up a deal with a human, that if she brought him the gems, he could teach her how to cut and polish them, maybe even put them in jewelry! Her first real relationship (of any kind) with a human! All she could do was hope that it was going to be every bit as exciting as it would be a learning experience. No, it was definitely going to be exciting! It was one more step towards blending in with a society of creatures she barely understood, really--after all, she'd only mastered the art of transformation a few years ago.

Yeah... She glanced down at her chest and poked the squishy human flesh. So soft. No wonder they die so easily, She thought.

Humming to herself, she started to get dressed again, though apparently pants didn't want to cooperate when wet. The fabric was sticking to her legs; kind of a pain, maybe if humans weren't so squishy they wouldn't have to wear this stuff. It could look cool though, so at least she could give them points for having some semblance of style.
