Along his many travels, Rad encountered many a request. However in a new land, with new people, and a new start, sometimes you have to seek people to help. There were various message-boards, and it was critical to any rogue bounty hunter or criminal catcher to find them. Not only is it the fastest way to find work without being approached, but usually there's a good reward for it.

Most of the messages were bland. Finding a stable-hand or a barmaid, or to protest high shoe repair prices by finding someone who isn't in the shoe repair business to fix their shoes to save some coin. However today there was a poster which caught his interest.

-----
Have you seen this boy?

Reward offered.

Meet us at our cabin on the outskirts. Please be discreet.

And off he went, in search of the people who needed to find their lost child. He was very young, and the location was stated to be a cabin near the forest. Luckily for them, Rad was very good at finding things. It shouldn't be a problem to locate a child who stumbled into the woods, especially if it happened today, or last night.

Turns out the cabin was rather large. A massive homestead built from wood lay in front of Rad, and he checked the address again to make sure. You can tell someone's wealth from their abode, and these people seemed quite rich. The reward may be better than expected.

Turning the corner of this giant box of wood, he saw someone else there, about to knock on the door. A familiar face. It was that guy with the long coat whom he'd met an acquaintance with earlier. J-something. Was he here for the reward as well?

"Come for the reward as well, have you?" Why not ask? It wasn't like they hated each other, and if the task and reward were big enough, another body should help.

"Rad, by the way. I don't remember our formal introduction." Rad remembered he was quiet, so he would probably quietly forgive his bad manners. Also names are important, it doesn't hurt to reintroduce one another when needed.

It had been a pleasant venture through the jungle forests surrounding the capital of Suna; Jaeris had been blessed with several days worth of glorious sunlight, and he felt quite invigorated after the quiet calm of unfettered solitude. Nevertheless, the need for rest and a restock of supplies warranted a return to civilisation.

The once-again friendly sun was high in the sky when Jaeris passed through the grand gates of Suna, and he was quickly reminded why he preferred the keep his distance from the busy capital. By the time his provisions were in satisfactory order, he was already tired and weary, with a steadily worsening headache from the sheer noise of the place. On his way to seek lodging for the approaching night, he passed a help wanted sign, new and recently re-shuffled to cover its duller counterparts. It told of a lost child, from a cabin not far from here.

Jaeris paused to consider for a moment. He had just purchased everything he needed for the road, and an excuse for an early exit out of the city was indeed welcome. Throwing caution to the wind, Jaeris noted the location of the cabin, and set off.

-------------

Jaeris gazed at the size of the "cabin" before approaching the large doors. He lay his hand on the carved wood for a moment before raising his fist to knock, and was interrupted by a familiar voice. It was the well-spoken man he had encountered earlier, who thankfully had the foresight to re-introduce himself. Jaeris was not one for names.

"Jaeris," he replied, "It's good to see you are well. It appears we are once again on the same path."

He turned back to the door and rapped his knuckles on the wood. A pause ensued while they waited for the door to open; Jaeris placidly watching an errant cloud, seemingly oblivious to the potential awkwardness that usually came with lack of conversation. The door opened with a sharp creak, and Jaeris beheld the author of the poster.

An aged and weathered man stood before him, the crinkles around his eyes highlighting his age as he smiled tiredly. He reached out with both hands and shook with both of the men. As he drew closer, Jaeris noticed the darkened bags under the mans eyes, this man hadn't slept in what must have been a long time.

"You gentlemen must be here about the poster, thank you so much for coming. My name is Gerald, please come in, we have much to discuss."

Somewhat startled by the sudden brisk contact, Jaeris fumbled out a stuttered reply. "Uh y-yes, I was hoping I, erm, we could be of assistance."

He looked to his new companion Rad for help, Jaeris wasn't what anyone would consider a conversationalist, and the man already seemed to be launching into a series of welcomes and greetings amidst stifled yawns.
