[center:1fcp9kov]Once Philip had finished stretching his legs, he stood. He turned his upper body around so that he could scratch along his itching back. A hind leg was cocked, twitching in pleasure as he did so. Too bad he couldn't reach his upper back. Looking up, he spotted a good branch to scratch with. He reared, grabbing it and snapping it from the tree. He began scratching with a few grunts and groans of simple pleasure.

Looking over at Liebe, he saw the scars on her arm. Coming over, he lowered his upper down to that he may have a better look. Brows furrowed deeply. What was this? Why were there so many scars on her?[/center:1fcp9kov]

Liebe felt a shadow loom over her and lifted her head. Her gaze followed down to where he was staring. Her eyes widened a bit and she quickly tugged her sleeve over her scars. She looked at him. Strands of black hair covered her face. "Before you ask, it's none of your business what happened." She mumbled to him before glancing away.

[center:301uihxb]Philip stepped back, his head tilting a little more to the side. What was she talking about? He couldn't speak, yet alone ask. An ear flicked as a fly landed in the hair that kept dirt and other things out. Maybe he could teach her how to speak horse? Knelling down next to her, he poked her arm gently.[/center:301uihxb]

Liebe looked at him again. What did he want now? She blinked and kept her arms wrapped around her legs. She unnoticablly chewed her inner cheek and her finger tips played with the sleeve as she watched him.

[center:xg8clgvb]Good, now he had her attention. Looking about, he pointed to the tree upon which she leaned and made a glutanal sound. Hopefully she'd understand what he was trying to do. He made the sound again, gesturing to the tree once again. WHy did he feel stupid for doing this?[/center:xg8clgvb]

If anything, they'd probably both learn. She raised her eyebrows and looked up to see the tree, not bothering to turn to face it, just looking up. The branches hung high above them. She looked back at him. "Yeah.. That's a tree..." She thought for a moment as he repeated it and sighed.. then it hit her as hard as a brick. Is he trying to teach me his language or something?

[center:2ccraif3]"T-tlee" Philip said, frowning as it didn't sound quite right. He made the glutanal sound again before repeated "tlee". He snorted, disliking how he pronounced tree. Why hadn't he learned sooner?[/center:2ccraif3]

Liebe shook her head. "No, t-rrr-ee." She said before looking up at the tree again. She wasn't gonna try to speak horse, it seemed hard to do, and she would feel like an idiot for doing it wrong.

[center:39445e6q]"Tl- T- tree" he said, struggling to say it properly. He looked at Liebe, making the glutanal sound. How come she wasn't trying to learn his language? "Tree" he said, happily, like a child who had just been praised for speaking properly.[/center:39445e6q]

Liebe gave a small smile. "Yeah... tree." She glanced off again as she started to zone out a bit. She let a sigh pass over her lips as she then rested her head on her knees again.

[center:30fjb711]Looking about eagerly, Philip looked for more thigns for words. He spotted a pebble. "Pebble" he said in horse, sighing. Horse sounded almost alien to him now. But he couldn't yet speak common. It was like being trapped, having no tongue at all.[/center:30fjb711]

Liebe looked up again and loked at the pebble. She blinked for a moment then loked at him. "Pebble..." She would just go ahead and try to teach him her tounge.

[center:2utmb4z4]Philip blinked, frowning. How to say that word. "Pebol" he said. "Pebble". His ears twitched again in happiness. He was getting it. "Tree, pebble!" he said, grinning sheepishly. Funn how he knew what the words meant but could not speak them.[/center:2utmb4z4]

Liebe grinned at him. He had learned three things with her.. Her name, the tree, the pebble.. She wondered if he'd be able to ever speak fluently. Probably so, but only time could tell.

[center:2ljhw2sj]Philip scratched at his lower chest absently. If he were human, that would look really uncivil. He glanced around, trying to find another thing to name. Instead, he looked at Liebe. "Gul" he said, pointing to her.[/center:2ljhw2sj]

It took a moment for Liebe to realise what he was getting at, and then she giggled. "Girl." She watched him.
