Ameterasu leaned her head against the counter with a soft sigh. The small pup that always accompanied her nudging against the top her head, wich stuck out above the counter slightly. "Where did I leave those scrolls," she murmured to herself as she frantically went through several scrolls.

They weren't in the basement. They weren't in the kitchen. Nowhere to be found in the store or even nowhere to be found in the store self. She heaved another laboured sigh as she pulled herself up again. "Keep the store," she said to the small critter, before walking to the back of the store, dissolving a simple ward and heading down a massive flight of stairs.

It had been years since Addaiel had flown so freely. A few small supply runs were about the most exciting part of the three-thousand year exile under which he'd placed himself.

With a grin, the snow leopard tucked in his wings and darted away from Wildfire and Fia at unbelievable speed, causing a loud BOOM! to echo through the sky, and a vapor cone to flicker around him. He circled back around and returned to his place up and to the right of the massive bird. He didn't fear anyone seeing him-he was invisible to all but his chosen one. Only Wildfire could hear or see him.

Truly, he loved these long-distance flights. It was cold this high into the air, but the sun provided a gentle warmth that the angel relished. Looking down at the world through the clouds brought a peace to the creature he couldn't explain.

Addaiel had no clue where he was headed, in all truth. They had no set goal in mind. It was a common occurrence with new proteges to simply wander for the first few days, righting wrongs, learning the basics, before getting into any high-stakes adventures.

However, there was a method to the madness. Addaiel seemed to have a sixth sense when it came to wrongdoing. He somehow always found himself in places of need, with no explanation or planning.

That sense was gnawing at him now.

"Wildfire," he ordered calmly. The link between guardian-angel and champion allowed free communication, even over the howling winds. "Come!"

And without further word, Addaiel performed a forwards roll, aimed himself at the ground far below, and rushed to meet it. Once close, he stopped himself with a great fan of his wings, and landed gracefully. Within moments, his other-worldly clothing was gone, and he resumed his guise of a poor traveler. He lifted the hood on his shabby robe to cover his face, and waited patiently for both his student, and rather tasty-looking pet to land beside him. No longer was he invisible to the rest of the world. With this fact in mind, he casually ducked behind a tree.

A scoff left the Mage's mouth as the Angel darted ahead of him at great speeds through the air. A gust of wind blew across his face from the blast, and the Boy grimaced, "Show-off." He muttered to himself. For Wildfire, this adventure had been rather tiring. Ever since he landed on that mountain training has been non stop. Every day he had some difficult task to complete, and though he felt much stronger than he was when he first met the Angel, he was definitely due for a break. Yet, his mind wanted to continue. Every part of his body told him to lay down and just take a day long nap. But Wildfire was determined. He had a goal, and boy did he plan on achieving it. From atop Fia, he was visibly tired. His face did not have the same glow to it as usual and his arms were decorated with cuts, burns and bruises.

Then, suddenly the Boy heard a voice speak to him through the link, "Wildfire, come!" The Angel ahead of him rolled downward through the clouds, diving toward the ground below. From atop his mighty Phoenix, the Mage saw it all.

"Alright! More training!?" Wildfire replied via the link, then he pulled on Fia's reigns and the Phoenix dove down through the air, landing on the ground next to Addaiel. Wildfire climbed off her and stood beside his Guardian. The Mage wasn't sure where he got all this energy from, but he was excited and ready for more training.

The Fire Mage shook off his windblown hair red-orange hair and it danced around his face. He left his Guild clothes back in the Mountains, not wanting to ruin them. So today he was simply clothed in tattered black harem pants, matched with black sandals, and a red kimono with burned sleeves.

An enormous scroll was strapped to Ameterasu's back. Sealed with an extremely powerful, yet primitive version of blood magic. She truly hated playing courier. Since this scroll contained a lot of information that wasn't allowed to seen by but anyone but her client.

And she had to walk, since Elle was out dith the horse. A bitter grin crossed her face. Not like she could travel on horseback. A soft whistle perked the feline ears on her head and she glanced around, to be met with the sight of brigands. She let out an almost tired sigh.

"Well well, boys. Look a' that. A nice piece of fuckin' is walkin' right into our arms." Ameterasu let out a soft sigh and retorted with a very simplistic, "sorry. I am already taken."

In the Woods

Addaiel placed a finger to gis lips to silence his eager student. Once he was sure the boy was settled, he jerked his head in the direction of the commotion out on the road. A lone woman with a scroll, becoming surrounded by men of impure intentions.

"You must save her," he instructed. "And be quick- I sense that this woman is important."

'And... powerful.' the angel thought privately. There was no doubt in his mind that she could handle herself. He sensed great magical ability within her. A great opportunity for Wildfire, as Addaiel could not teach pyromancy. He focussed more on hand to hand combat, and lessons of virtue and morality.

The cat-man disappeared from sight, having become a passive observer. High above he hovered with his great wings, invisible, watching, critiquing, guiding like always.

"And remember our discussions; you must not allow your passion to impair your capacity for empathy and mercy. Dead men learn no lessons- they cannot change. Even within the darkest hearts lies the capacity for kindness and gratitude.

"But should you spare them, and they return your generosity by attacking you, you must quickly decide whether to spare them again, or end them. You must not hesitate. Hesitation means your death."

A disgusted look crossed Wildfire's face. He watched as the brigand all stared with googly eyes at the young lady. What could possess these men to act like such animals? He thought to himself, but simply could not find an answer. Shaking his head, the Fire Mage spun the spear-staff off his back, and slowly began to approach the group. "Fia, to the skies." He commanded, and the Phoenix nodded. With a few mighty flaps of her wings, she was soon flying high in the air near Addaiel, circling around the area like an owl before the kill.

The Boy watched from the distance for a few moments before walking into sight. Then, without hesitation, he slammed his staff to ground, and from it a line of flares shot out, creating a divider between the brigands and the lone woman. He then stood silent for a few moments, considering the situation. His Guardians words echoed in his head: "...the hero is not meek. The hero stands tall, looks his audience in the eye, and speaks his mind without fear of reprisal..." Nodding to himself, the Mage stood somewhat taller.

"We don't take kindly to rapists in these woods, boys." The flares illuminated the somewhat darkened grin on his face. "I suggest you keep walking."

Medievarad

Well. A warning was given. She raised her hand as a brilliant flame sparked to life. Solar fire. Ascended above any normal type of pyromancer. Dragonfire was the sole thong at least on par with solar fire. And she could use all kinds of fire. For the brigands, there would be no pain. They'd immedialty turn to ashes.

Yet, a young mage strode next to her and pressed his staff against the floor, creating a barrier. She closed her hand and extinguished the solar flare in her hand, sighing slowly. "You want that bigger," she said with a soft shrug, before the fire shot up to the sky, roaring loudly. Yet not a single part of the griund or surrounding areas got charred.

Blizzard

Above...

"Not bad..." Addaiel muttered under his breath as he observed Wildfire's entrance.

Strong, confident, and loud. Perfect.

Though, as the female mage pointed out, the wall needed some work.

Koga

The Mage's eyes widened as he watched his flames rise. Yet, he knew this was not his doing. Could this be the work of the woman? How could she conjure such powerful flames? Wildfire didn't have the answers, but he was beginning to see why Addaiel had called him here. This woman was much more powerful than she appeared to be. Definitely more powerful than he was. Was she really in any danger? With flames like that she was definitely capable of handling herself against a few measly brigands.

The power of the Woman was so strong in fact, that it almost completely distracted Wildfire from the brigands. Quickly, he looked over to them, watching for any sudden movements. However, they hadn't moved since the wall had been put up, they just remained there staring at the wall of flares before them.

"Go on!" Holding his staff, Wildire swung it in the direction of the brigands. The flames from the barrier followed, but just barely grazed the brigands. Not enough to give them any serious damage, but just enough to give them a taste of his power. "Scram!"

Medievarad

Ameterasu took a deep sigh as she stepped several steps ahead of Wildfire. Completely extinguishing both their flames when she noticed the brigands didn't back off. The circles on her shoulders were set ablaze and formed long wings. "Pyromancy is not a game, child. It is fierce, proud, passionate and destructive."

She put a foot higher, as if escalating an invisible stair, she held her hands to the side as flames errupted from them. "Step back. This can even kill angels and phoenixes," she said as the ground underneath her slowly started to disintegrate into nothingness. Her eyes set alight with fire. Her voice thundered across the plains. One simple command. "Leave."

And the brigands immediatly turned around and hauled ass.

Blizzard

In the air...

"Speak of the devil..." Addaiel muttered before teleporting back to the ground.

"Wildfire, ask her if she's alright!" the angel hissed at his protege. Manners! Always manners!

Koga

"Step back. This can even kill angels and phoenixes,"
The Young Mage's eyes widened as he watched the Pyromancer construct extremely powerful flames. His mind raced, powerful enough to kill angels and phoenixes... Was she bluffing? Did she know about the Angel and Phoenix that were both traveling in their party? Wildfire wasn't sure, he was gawking in both amazement and confusion, completely speechless.

That was, until he heard his Guardian hissing behind him.  "I- uh - oh!" Wildfire shook his head back into reality. "M'lady, are you alright?"

((Sorry, busy week guys.))

Medievarad

Ameterasu glanced over her shoulder before descending from the invisble stairs, the wings fading and her eyes regaining normal colour and texture. She folded her arms and inspected Wildfire from head to the toe. Letting out a soft hum at his question. "I am quite fine. Thank you," she replied, before looking him in the eyes. "You have potential. But you do not respect fire. And you will be burned by it."

Blizzard

"Do take heed of her words, Wildfire. She is an extremely powerful pyromancer. You might learn a thing or two."

Addaiel stepped from the trees, adorned in his brown robe. He removed his hood and gave Ameterasu a small smile.

"It is good to see you are unharmed. I hope my squire did not cause you any inconvenience?"

Koga

Wildfire merely nodded, not really sure how to respond. The woman had both complimented him, yet she also offered him a bit of constructive criticism. How does one respect fire? The words hardly made sense, to Wildfire the fire was a part of him. A part of his psyche that came out when he felt strongly empowered emotions. Yet, this woman, who clearly mastered all things fire, was telling him that he had no respect for his own art. The boy felt a bit ashamed of himself, he thought he had mastered his pyromancy to its fullest. Never had he met someone with more skill in fire than he, he thought he was the very best... until now.

"I-..." Wildfire was awestruck, hardly capable of speaking. "My apologies miss... but how did you create such powerful flames?"

((Spring break got me all messed up))

Medievarad

"Not at all, traveller," she replied as she witnessed a figure stepping from the bush, before glancing at Wildfire. "So, he's your lackey?" She inquired, letting out a soft giggle. "Cute," she murmured to herself, before looking Wildfire in the eyes again. "Practice, rituals, forbidden knowledge," she said rather casually, shrugging. "And most importantly. Fire is passion. One seperate of your own. You try to force fire in your ways. You have to let it allow you to shape it."

Blizzard

'If you try, you may be able to receive formal training from this woman. I strongly urge you to do so. I cannot teach you pyromancy.' Addaiel thought-spoke to his student. The snow leopard casually strode around the two, going out of sight of Ameterasu. The next moment, he disappeared without a sound

'Do not fear. I am merely going to learn more about our new acquaintance.'

Koga

What does that even mean? The boy thought to himself, though he was sure Addaiel could hear it. This whole situation was confusing to him. None of what Amaterasu said made any sense! And on top of that, she was kinda mean! Curiosity turned to frustration as the Fire Mage tried desperately to wrap his head around her powerful magic. Then before his very eyes, his Guardian disappeared and he was alone with the woman. The Mage sighed and closed his eyes, just when he thought he had gotten the chance to put all his hard work to use, he got shown up by a lone woman.

Then, he suddenly opened his eyelids, revealing golden yellow and red eyes glistening with determination. "Teach me everything." He said, before getting on a knee and bowing his head to the woman. The old Wildfire would have never done such a thing, but under Addaiel's training he learned that sometimes the hero must swallow his pride.

"Please."

Medievarad

"Rise," Ameterasu replied with a soft shake of her head. "You needn't kneel for me." She folded her arms, noticing how the elder man dissappeared, feeling some sensations from him which were similair to Wildfire's. A shift in her own arcane signature as she activated her clairvoyance, before chuckling softly. "A mental bond?" She inquired with an arched eyebrow.

"And I can't just teach you everything like that," she answered, "I have other students and a store to run."

Blizzard

"Of course you do, O 'Chantress of the Sun'." floated in Addaiel's voice as he returned, his trip being short, but informative. Being able to teleport and turn invisible had its perks.

"In fact," he continued, nodding to the scroll she carried. "I do believe we've interrupted your current business. Do forgive us."

"Might we accompany you? We're just wandering with no destination in mind. We'll even give you a phoenix for your trouble."

It was difficult to tell if that last part had been serious. After all, the angel hadn't quite forgiven Fia for collapsing part of his front porch.
