Physical Description
Derrick is a tall, well-muscled man. He is quite strong and agile from his years training and performing in combat situations. He has long straight black hair with bangs that are constantly in need of a trim and trying to escape the tie holding them back. His features are rather elfin in appearance with a long face and nose, high cheekbones, pale skin, and striking purple eyes.
His clothes are tailored to fit in his family colors of winter blues, blacks, and whites. They also nearly always tend to have a bit of embroidery on them in some form or other (even small and hardly able to be seen). This kind be things such as flora vines and matter or the dragon that is part of his family crest. Derrick also wears a small amount of jewelry in the form of a set of earrings in his left ear and a ring from his father on his left hand.

Personality
He is a quiet and calculating man who is always observing his surroundings. When it comes to his social life and women he is a rather eligible bachelor who is always flirting with one woman or another. He is however ever the gentleman which most likely lends to his continued rapport with the ladies.
Derrick has a gentle way about him with his careful words and calm approach to situations. He is exceptionally slow to anger but fierce once his ire has been raised. He is a loyal and honor-bound man who takes things rather seriously especially when it comes to his work. He has a soft spot for children and will always stop to give them a treat or perform a small magic trick for their enjoyment before continuing on with his business.

History
Derrick is a man who has seen many things and done many things though few of them he would ever admit to or share. If pressed he would say he has been here and there with a small shrug before attempting to maneuver the conversation away from himself. Anything having to do with his family and his origins is especially fiercely guarded as he is not overly fond of discussing his Faerie family that raised him or his position in life as a "bastard's bastard" as he calls it. Should someone find out about these things he would take it in stride as he is not ashamed of it. His origins however are just something that is private and not meant for others to share in.
