Title: It's A Whatever (OPEN)

Petra wasn't quite sure what to make of it. There was a statue of a half-dog, half-bird sitting in the middle of this particular grassy field. She had never heard of or encountered something quite like it. Then again, she had never really been out and about before. Petra was getting tired of being around people, and had thought a retreat to the countryside would be the best way of recovering her nerves. So far so good, but this was most definitely the highlight of her little retreat.

She ran her fingers over the embroidery on her skirt, tracing the patterns and thinking about whether she should attempt to take it back with her. It would make an interesting addition to her garden, for sure. On the other hand, it was already just past sunset and she had better be heading back to the little cottage she had rented. Petra reached a hand forward to test how heavy it was and whether she would actually be able to pick it up and take it back. It wasn't that heavy after all- a nudge sent it tipping over, though it didn't crack or break once it hit the ground.

Ah, well! It didn't look like anyone wanted it! Petra picked it up in both hands- it was a good size, at least 2 feet tall- and started carrying it in the direction of her place. How far away was it from here, again?
