The coast was a wonderful place to visit that much was true. Especially for a young pair of hooded creatures who were wondering about. They did not have a specific place to be heading at the moment. In fact the twins were just happy going about their day picking up strange shells to get better looks at them. By nature these creatures were very curious and often wanted to know everything about everything. Though that was rather impossible.
The smaller twin peered out from under her hood at her sister as they were walking. She was the more shy of the two twins. Her sister was always the one who seemed to lead them. Though sometimes she did try to help her. That normally resulted in a lot of bickering between them.
" What do you think of this place?" She now asked her sister. She had a soft sweet voice. Her sister looked at her and gave a slight smile." I think it's getting boring here. We definitely need to find something else to do besides walking around." She said to her. Her voice was biting and sarcastic. Just like it always was.
with that the two twins started another one of their many arguments. They were unaware if anyone was around to hear their little fight. Nor did either of them really care at the moment.
Lorian had always been partial to the see. Something about it was just...eternal. He could appreciate that.
He did not so much appreciate the sounds of bickering that floated to him on the breeze. He frowned and attempted to block it out, continuing his meditations perched just above the line of the surf.
The young creatures continued their argument as the walked down the shore line. Soon enough they had come close to where a man was sitting. Now considering that they weren't paying any attention to who or what was around the argument continued. The the smaller twin noticed that there was someone there. Seeing her sister looking at something the larger twin also stopped to stare at him . They were both kind of embarrassed that he might have heard them yelling and fighting with each other.
Lorian cracked an eye open, frowning at them. "Yes? Did you want something?" His voice was peeved, clipped and cool, but still elegant.
The smaller twin looked at her sister when she heard the man talking. Her tail swayed alittle from under her cloak. The larger twin looked to the man a kind of tried to smile from under her hood. " We did not intend to bother you. Sorry about all of that noise." She said. Her tone was soft and kind. She knew her sister was to shy to speak.
The flicker of motion drew his eye and Lorian tilted his head. "What are you?" he asked bluntly, bracing his palms behind him and leaning back.
The two twins looked at each other when they heard his question. Now they weren't usually ones who willingly told others just what they were. They would give this man the same reply that they gave everyone else. " Well we aren't human if that's what you're asking." Stated the larger twin now. They weren't sure if they wanted to trust this man or not.
Lorian snorted. "I gathered that. But what are you?"
The twins looked at each other now. He did not seem like the kind of person that they wanted to tick off. So it was then that they decided to tell him what they were. " Well we are creatures called vantaas. In other words we are magical creatures I guess you could say." The larger twin said to him. Her sister was still being quite for the moment.
"Hm." He stood, dusting off his trousers. "Intriguing, I suppose. And what are you doing here?"
His next question was a little bit harder to answer. They came here because they had heard some very strange rumors. Rumors that the was something bad going on here. What exactly it was they had no idea. In fact they could not be certain that they were even true. It was just that these beings were very curious by nature and always tried to find out things for themselves. " Well we heard rumors about something not being right here. They said something was off in this town. We weren't sure what so he decided to come and find out." Said the larger twin now.
Lorian smirked. "Curiosity can be a dangerous thing you know. Hasn't anyone ever warned you of that?"
When he spoke the smaller twin who had been remaining silent gave a soft growing noise. Her sister just put her hand on her and looked to the man. " Some creatures do not fear danger. Some just embrace it and go on." She said give a toothy smile.
The vampire rolled his eyes. "Stupidity can be lethal. Remember that," he said airily, apparently losing interest.
The lager twin smirked. " Was that a threat? " She asked the man. She wasn't one to fight. They both only did so if they had to.
He laughed, cold and sharp. "Hardly. You're not worth my time." With an elegant but somehow still condescending bow, he turned to put his back to the ocean. "Watch yourselves, children. The world can be a dangerous place for those unused to its games."
The twins just smirked to each other. They got the hint that this man wasn't quite a good man. " That's good. We aren't children. We are grown ... female." Said the smaller twin who had now chosen to speak. She did not really know what it was but there was something off about this man.
Lorian chuckled darkly. "As I said, children, watch yourselves."
The two twins looked to each other. It kind of dawned on them that perhaps this was the man behind the trouble that was mentioned to them. At that though the both kind of shifted a bit. " I think we may have found our villan . Whisper the smaller twin to her sister. She looked at her and nodded in agreement.
She then looked back to the man. " Well we will keep that in mind." She said softly to him now.
"Hmph." Lorian seemed to have lost interest- of course he could hear what the little chits were saying, but he didn't address it, just turned to leave again carelessly.
The two twins were watching the man as he whent to leave. By accident the smaller twin used her magic to cause a slight glow. And the more she tried to make it go away the brighter it got. She often had less control over her powers then her sister. Even more so when she was nervous. Though that's not to say her sister had complete control either. They did hope that the man would not think they did that on purpose.
Eyes sensitive to the light, Lorian hissed quietly and did his best to avoid looking at the smaller creatures as he went on his way.
As the smaller twin still tried to stop her powers her sister noted that the man had left. Well that was a relief. Now the two probably needed to find a place to hide until her sister could control her power. That would not be hard for them though since they were so tiny.
Lorian tried to put the strange encounter from his mind as he made his way back to the inn where he was staying- not completely though, for of course it would be foolish to disregard the meeting entirely.
The two twins tried to hide the glowing as they tried to find a place away from others. They too would not completely forget about this rather odd encounter.

Lorian was content to make his way back to his lodgings. It was nearly full dawn now, and the light was becoming uncomfortable.

The twins had made their way to a place where they could rest .they were creatures of the night themselves. So They would remain there until later in the evening. That way they would be able to do a bit more exploring and be able to avoid most of the crowds.
Lorian kept to the room he'd rented for most of the day. Light did not hurt him quite as badly as it did others of his kind, but it was still uncomfortable.
It was now evening as the twins made their way towards the local town. They were actually quite happy to see that the streets were quite. It would keep others from starring at them. They could not blame them though. They were very odd creature to look at even with their hoods on. They were not sure though what they would be doing this evening. Hopefully something fun.
Once the sun started to set Lorian allowed himself to venture down into the taproom of the inn.
As they made their way on into the town they came to a place where they thought that they might be able to get a drink. So they both entered the inn unaware that the strange man they had met before was in there .
Lorian smelled them the moment they entered. He frowned, ducking his head in the hopes they wouldn't notice him.
They were still not aware that the man was in the inn . So they just found a seat so that they could watch the people interact with each others.
Seeming to have managed to go unnoticed, the vampire stood and made his way toward the door of the inn.
As they sat there the twins were starting to talk to each other. They were talking about some of the evil things that they had heard about. One particular sentice was said out. " He's an evil vampire I think" said one while the other just nodded and smiled.
