There was a certain calm that came with the darkness. It seemed the instinct to fight was given up and everyone just relaxed more. That is what was happening here. Everyone was either in their homes or in town. No one cared to go into these woods . And if they did they always came armed. That was why the three creatures that were wonder through were keeping their guard up. They did not wish to be killed.
To look upon these creatures one would definitely see that they were not human. These were creature who came from above. Or below as was the case for one of them. They were very young gods and a bit older goddess. However they did not possess the awe inspiring power that their parents had. In fact they did not even know what powers they possess. What that did know was that they were lost.
As they moved the evil brother stumbled over a sharp rock. As he fell the pointed rock sliced into his leg. He gave a yell of pain. His brother and sister stopped to aid him. They knew that it was not good to be hurt in such a dangerous place. Though a sound came from the woods as well. Someone or something else was here with them. " I hope they don't wish to harm us." Said the good brother to his siblings now.
Janne stopped as he tracked some Deer prints through the woods. An hour later it had gotten dark and Janne decided he would turn in for the night. As he walked back to the village he heard a screech of pain. It came about 20 yards from his left. His heart stopped as he Processed the yell. That sounds like. a KID! He couldn't stand the thought of children being alone in these woods, So he Rushed over to find, not one but 3 children. The child seemed to have hurt himself on a rock. They seemed wary of Janne so he asked Is it alright if i help? In a calm manner. He dug out his bandages from his satchel.
The older goddess looked at the man with her glowing purple eyes. While she wasnt much older then her siblings she was very protective over them. She stood in front of them and gave a growl. She wasn't going to allow him to potinaly harm her brother. " I think he wants to help. " Said the good brother gently putting a hand on his sister . His blue eyes had a knowing wise look to them. " I guess then he can." She said back. she then stepped to the side. The evil brother nodded to the man. " She's going to let you help as long as you are careful." He said his voice almost demonic in a way . Of course the glowing red eyes only added to the tone.
Janne nodded and took a look at the wound It sliced deep Janne said as he got to work. He used a incantation to made the cleaning and stitching painless and fast. He then wrapped the cut in a bandage. Janne stood up to admire his work as the child stood up and walked on it. He Turned to the other two children. Why are you in the woods at this hour? Its cold,dark,and dangerous. He said. Observing their eye color guessed these where no ordinary kids
The young god just watched the man with this glowing red eyes. He would look at his siblings once in a while. He was the smallest of them . However the magic that he potentially possess was dangerous. When the man's was done he stood. It was a little bit painful to put weight on it. " We are just passing through. We are traveling to gain knowledge." Stated the good brother. He wasn't sure exactly which one of then the man was referring his question to. He just assumed he was speaking to all of them.
So you are scholars then? Janne asked the brother. You must be awfully smart for your university to let you travel alone. Or did you get lost from your party? Janne asked As he stood up.
What are your names? He asked all three of them
The good brother looked at the man . He seemed to hesitate before he gave an answer. " We are in a way yes. Orphans would be a better description." He said to him now. Then the man asked their names. They each answers as followed. " I'm glux" then the female spoke " I'm yesma." Then the last spoke "and I am Yama" they then looked at the man before them. " What do we call you?" Asked Yama now.
Janne gave a warm smile. I'm Janne Of course is visor was down so they could only see is bottom half of his face. Janne stood up as he saidWhy don't we get you to the town near by? Im sure you kids are hungry and tired. He asked as he stood up and faced the direction of the town.
The sister looked to her two brothers. She was the one who was supposed to be looking out for her brothers. She wondered if it was a good idea to be going with some man they had just met. Though he did help her bother so he could not be that bad. " Okay janne . You should know though that humans naturally fear us. " She said to him. Her two bothers moved closer to her. It was obvious that they bother were nervous. Just like their sister.
Janne shook his head.It matters not if you are human.Changeling,dragon, vampire, An Inhuman child is a child still. Janne started walking. As they where He asked them Please inform me if you hear of anything odd. These woods are home to nasty critters and id hate to see you and your brothers hurt He said
The young beings looked at each other now. What this man had said was very kind. They appeared to take kindly to this. " Thank you not many share your view on that." She said to him now. They then followed him as he walked. They knew well that there were many dangers in this place. They had been here's a while. " We will be sure to tell you." She said to him softly now.
Janne and company had been walking around 30 minutes now they came out of a wooded area into a clearing. The village isn't far from here, We should arrive momentarily. Why don't we sit down for a minute? He asked the Kids as they looked tired of walking Janne reached into his bag and grabbed his pouch of water. He poured the water into a cup. He also had a leg of lamb left. He handed the lamb And water to Yesma. Here this should hold you over until we get to town, The Man who works the oven likes to drag his feet when he cooks. Janne said with a laugh There should be enough water and lamb for all of youHe said as he grabbed rocks to start a fire pit
They continued to follow the man as he walked. They took in all the sites of the darkened forest. Unlike humans they could see quite well at night. "Okay we can stop if you want." Said Yama softly. He looked to his bother and sister who nodded approvingly. They watched the man as he was getting water and some kind of food out. They glanced at each other not certain what they should do.
"Uhh thank you . You are very kind .heh some are like that..." yesma said unsure of what else she should say to him. She took the water and lamb motioning for her brothers to sit. Befor they did anything else they held hand a said a prayer to their parents. They were thanking them for helping them find someone so kind . The language the spoke was one that was very old and long forgotten.
Janne watched as they prayed. He had studied all of the old gods but he had not recognized the language they spoke. He started the campfire and asked Yesma Who where you praying too?, I Pride myself on my knowledge of religion and never heard your dialect Janne said as he threw a chunck of wood on the fire
Yesma looked at him when he asked who they were praying to. " Aten and akna our parents. We are the children of a long forgotten god and goddess. " She said to him with a smile. She wasn't sure how he would take the fact that he was in the presence of such beings. She just hoped he did not do a bunch of kneeling down and praising. They really did not understand the point of all that.
Janne scratched his head. Why are they not here with you children? Can they not manifest themselves? Janne asked as he watched the brothers dig in to the lamb their sister gave them. And what magics did they reign over? Im assuming since you are Their children you should have some free reign over some magic. Janne said as he poked the fire
She looked at the man with a slight frown. Their parents had sent them here to learn about this world just as their parents had done. It was how one learned what mortals were truly like." They sent us here to learn about the mortal world. They did not wish to interfere with our learning." She said to him now. She was glad her brothers were eating. She care more about them then herself. " They control light and darkness magics. " She the pointed to each of her brothers. " Glux there is supposed to control one and Yama the other. I'm supposed to control both. That is when our powers awaken. " She said looking at each of them. She offered both a drink now as she spoke.
Janne heard her speak. Then an idea popped into his head. So you can't use your powers yet?He said as he started digging around his rucksack, he found his old rapier. He took one of his fingers and chiseled the name yesma into The handle. Janne tore up his sleeping bag and rapped the sword in it. Yesma close your eyes and hold out your hands.Janne said as she did so. He gingerly placed the Gift in her waiting hands
Yesma shook her head. " No we can't yet." She said to him. She wasn't sure what the man was up to just yet. Her brothers kind of looked at her as well. Then he told her to close her eyes and hold out her hands so she did. When he put something in her hands she kind of opened her eyes. She blinked at the wrapped gift. Carefully she opened it smiling very slightly when she saw what it was. " Thank you but I don't know how to use this though. " She said as she looked the sword over now. Her brothers were also looking with curious looks. Neither of them had seen seen a weapon like this before.
Janne pulled his wooden training sword out of his bag. Well today is a good day to learn He stood up and walked a few steps from the fire. Janne Pulled off his helmet and set it on the ground near the fire. He took a fencing stance. Look at my legs and posture and mimic itHe said as he tossed the sword around.Now do you best to strike me Janne said as he took a fancy stance
Yesma looked at the man now. She was watching what he was doing. She stood up moving away from her two brothers and stood like he was standing. It felt kind of odd to her at first. " Okay I'll try" . She wasn't really sure how to go about striking him. Though she supposed that she could try to copy what she had seen before. She now tried to strike him the best she could. It was obvious that she was not experienced.
After an hour of training Yesma Had gotten a little better at combat. Her brothers where sleeping near the dying fire. I know you are still young, but use this to defend your self and your brothers.Janne said as he looked to the stars.This realm Has many wonders to experience, But there are a lot of people who would like to hurt you and your brothers. It isn't every day you come across Little gods. He said as he peered at his favorite stars
Yesma did kind of enjoy the training. Once they were done she was happy to see that her brothers were sleeping now. She knew they needed it. To be honest she did too. It was just that she only slept for a few hours. The rest of the time was spent watching her brothers. " People can be cruel. The world needs more good creature likeyou in it." She said softly. She was also looking up.
Then a sound made her frown and glace to the right. It sounded like someone saying something. She looked to the man now. " Did you hear something?" She asked in a soft whisper.
Janne couldn't help but smirk as the young god referred to him as a creature. Janne stopped to listen
It sounded like whom ever was talking had stopped now. Janne moved in front of Yesma as a bolt of dark energy ricocheted off of Janne. He then plowed his great shield into the ground and Deeply bellowed SHOW YOUR SELF FIEND he said as he pulled his sword from its sheath. A Tall woman emerged from the shadows. Janne had seen her kind before, She was a arch vampire. Its only around 4 am, the sun wont save us Janne thought as the vampire pulled a rapier from her belt.
Yesma was surprised when the man blocked the bolt of energy from hitting her. She was afraid now. She moved back a bit and glanced at her brothers. They were now sitting up with friends looks. She turned back to see the vampire as she stepped out. She frowned knowing that the creature was evil. She wondered now if it was wiser to run or to stay.
The vampire started eyeing the children. as she Did Janne Walked in front of the kids Blocking her line of sight. He held up is blade. and stuck the woman down. She laid there with a deep wound in her chest laughing, By the time she stood up her wound was healed. She shouted something in an ancient language and lunged at Janne with incredible quickness. He did not have time to dodge as she Pierced his chest. All was silent in the woods. Not even a single Person breathed as their silhouettes bathed in moonlight. The Vampire Put her hand on Janne's chest to take out the blade. Just as she did so Janne's words Pierced through the Silence. MINUS STRIKE Janne yelled as he Surged back to life, Taking the woman's arm clean off with his sword. He then kicked her back as she recoiled in pain. Janne ripped the sword from his chest and Bellowed. The more pain i feel. The stronger i become ,This is the way of the Dark knight! He said as he flourished his sword Care to wager what comes first? Me running out of life to give, Or you falling to my blade? The woman hissed as she fled. It Did not seem she was coming back
Yesma had carefully made her way to where he younger brothers were. They watched as the man fought the woman. The cringed as they saw her stab him in his chest. They all thought for certain that he was done for. But then he seemed to revive. They the figured out that he had some sort of magic that kept him alive. To them that was pretty amazing. They smile nervously when they saw the odd female fleeing the scene. That was a very good thing. They then looked at the man with soft smile on their faces.
Janne made his way back to the children. I think its about time we left. The village isn't too far from here He said as he picked up his things. After an hour more of walking they were finally there. Janne stopped them just as they entered the town. He wasn't sure how the locals would respond to the children, So Janne Cut up the rest of his blankets to make three cloaks for the kids. Stay close to me when we go in okay? Upon saying this they entered the Inn
They could not agree more with the man. After that they did not want to stick around. So the followed him as he lead them out of the woods. As he stopped to put the cloaks on them they were sure to look around. The didn't want any surprises. Then the followed up up to the inn. That's when glux accidentally walked into Yama. He shoved his brother for doing that. Glux then shoved Yama back. They both have and growl and got into a pushing match. It seemed that they were still at the age where they fought a bit. Yesma just shook her head but did not try to stop it. That wasn't her problem at the moment.
Janne had thrown his coin purse onto the counter and had started counting when he heard the Shoving match. He Then slammed his fist unto the table crushing a glass with a loud thud. Could i please get a room and a meal for four people? He asked gingerly as he received the key to the room.He let the children lead the way. Yesma Led the way to the room. It had four beds each one adult sized. With pelt blankets and feather pillows. After yesma let the children in Janne said I'm going to go see what they are cooking, don't cause too much now Janne closed the door and went downstairs
Upon hearing the glass smash glux and Yama decided it would be wise not to continue with their play fighting. Yesma looked to her bother a gave soft smile. She found it kind of amusing. She the walked in front of her bothers as they when to their room. She let them inside and followed. " Okay we will be right here." She said as he left. She then turned to her brothers. They laughed then Yama threw a stone at glux. Glux just laughed at shoved him again. " You two are going to get into trouble" yesma said. They then shoved her. With they they all three were back to playing roughly with each other. It's what they did when they felt bored.
Janne only got 4 Paces down the hallway before he heard them causing a ruckus. Janne walked down the stairs and started considering buying some ale, just a tiny bit. Janne shook his head. If he couldn't handle these kids sober how could he drunk. Janne's armor clanked as he Walked across the room. The patrons staring at him the barmaid had their food ready. She asked Janne. I see you got a stern fist with those kids of yours. She smiled and laughed. Janne just laughed back and took the plate. She did not see under his armor, But Janne was only nineteen years old. He made his way up to the door. He could hear them all throwing things and roughhousing. Janne cleared his throat once to no avail. So he walked back down the hall and Stomped his way to the door. But even as he approached they did not stop. Janne sighed Threw his head down to lower is visor and entered the battlezone with his back turned.
As he enter the young beings really did not pay him much mind . They just continued theit wrestling and rolling about. They laughed at one anouther . The good thing was that most of this was done on the floor. So the man could be thankful that the had not broken anything. Though it might have been obvious that they needed guidance . And perhaps some displaine. They had been alone for so long that they didn't know any better.
Janne Had sat down the plate and Sat down. He watched as they still played around him. He punched his fists together to make a very loud clang. As that got their attention. They turned their heads as Janne said softly Lets eat before it gets cold. They started to pray again to their parents after they finished they dug in. Janne only watched, He would let them get their fill then he would eat. Gods know how many days since they had a decent meal. After this its best if you went to sleep. Janne said as he looked at the beds.
The young beings stopped when they heard the clang. They smiled at what he said. As they ate they smiled. Though they had enough respect to be sure to leave their friend enough to eat. They were used to not eating for days at a time. It was just a fact of life to them. " That sounds like a good idea." Yesma said. They were very tired that was for sure. So when they got done eating they . When to their beds. As he slid in bed Yama felt his bandage move a little. He didn't say nothing though. He just smiled and curled up. They did like how soft the beds were.
Janne took off his helmet His blonde hair poring out of it. After seeing the kids get into bed. He picked up the modest amount of food left and started eating. within minutes he was finished. Janne Dug his fingers under his chestplate to take it off for the night. But he stopped after the first pull. He had a passing thought about The fight he just won. There could be a chance some one else could come after them. Janne left his armor on but his helmet off. He sat on the bed with his back touching the wall He kept his sword sheathed but ready if he woke unpleasantly. He adverted his gaze to the children. They must not have slept in a bed for a very long time. As they where sound asleep. Janne closed his eyes and drifted off.
The young beings slept for a while. Unlike some humans they did not have to sleep very long at at time. As the sun started to shine through the window. Yesma kind of opened her eyes. She was sure to keep quiet so that she didn't wake anyone else up.
Janne's hair was over his eyes while he slept. He Heard a slight cheek of the bed and the covers moving. He opened one eye, and as he did he saw yesma moving around ever so slightly. He would continue to observe her.
While her brothers slept yesma was just looking at the ceiling. She was unaware that she was being watched. Her tail moved out from under the covers. If on looked they would see that like her two bothers it had a sharp pointed tip. That was how they had defend themselves all this time. She gave a glance over to the man wondering if he was awake or not.
Janne saw the Tail come out from under the covers. So that's how she defends herself Janne thought as she stretched it out. She then looked over to Janne. He thought they might get into mischief if they knew how long he could sleep. Though to be fair Janne was only a heavy sleeper when he drank. I never sleep. He Said to Yeswa
Yesma moved her tail carefully along the side of the bed. She noted that the man was now apparently awake. She did not quite believe that he didn't sleep though. " You lie too. Everyone sleeps." She said softly. Sometimes she didn't hold her true thoughts back. It was part of being a partially evil being. Her brother yama was worse then she was about this.
I guess That is fair to say. Janne said as he stood up. Tell me, Do you kids have anywhere in particular to go? And what will happen when you learn enough of this world. He said As he got up and sat down on the bed next to Yesma.
Yesma scooted up on the bed as he sat down on it. She had to think about his question for a minute. " We don't have anywhere to go in particular. We will probably return to our home with our parents. We are future suposed to be future rulers of our realm. " He said to him now.
Yes, but How will you get back to your parents?, When will you know you are ready? Janne asked. He was worried about these kids. While they may be gods they where vulnerable, and Janne wouldn't mind to stay with them. But How long does it take for a God to mature? At best Janne had 15 years left. So even if he did stay with them there was No guarantee they would mature in time. Janne shook his head while he thought So tell me does your tail ever get dull? And do you siblings have tails as well? Janne asked Yesma
Yesma thought about his questions now. " Our parents will ascend and take us back with them. Well when our powers awaken they say we will have to learn to use them properly. Only then will we be ready to rejoin them." She said softly. The young gods had at least five or six more years until their powers would come in . Then it would probably take a few years to learn to master them . " The sharp end sheds every once in a while. They do but theirs look different from mine." She said to him now. Her brother glux moved slightly as he started to wake up a bit.
Janne nodded his head as he listened. Do you know what Magics you will be able to use?Janne asked. He Stood up And asked Yesma. Well where would you like to go? Janne thought he could accompany them. He had no place to go and did not think they could win in a Real Fight. As he said this the other Children woke from their slumber.
Yesma nodded to his question about their powers. " Well glux there will be able to control light magic and yama darkness. I will be able to use both." She said to him now. She wasn't really sure about his next question. She gave it some thought and her brothers stretched as they woke up ." Maybe to the next big town." She said to him now.
There are alot of big citys Janne said. Any place you would like to see?[/i Janne then pulled out a map of the world and spread it on the table
Yesma nodded to him she wasn't really certain where they should be going. " Well we usally just go where ever our instinct leads us." She said. She looked at his map blankly. It was obvious that she didn't know what he was showing her. She had never seen a map.
Janne smirked We are right here. Janne pointed at the map. We could go to the coast, There you could play on the beaches Janne said as he Stood up Give it some thought. He then left the room
Yesma nodded as he spoke to her. " Okay I'll talk it over with them." She said nodding to her brothers. They then watched as he left. They kind of wondered where he was going. However they did not ask him.
Janne then walked downstairs. He Filled up his flask then walked outside to the general store. He then greeted the old man working the counter and bought three more flasks, some dry goods, and some sweets. This should calm down those brothers Janne thought, Though he did not know if Yesma would want any. She seemed mature enough to protect her brothers but still seemed to be a child. He Decided to pick one up for her anyway. Janne then walked back to the inn Though it seemed some people where causing a ruckus inside, Could it be realted to the Triplets?
When the man left the little gods were talking to each other. Then yama smirked and bit his sister's tail. She yelled out in pain that slapped him. He then hit her hard. That's when they actually started to fight. Glux blinked and tried to stop them. However soon he was fighting a yelling a long with them. All the noise that they were making was probably nothing everyone else. Though they did not know this as they were more interested in fighting then anything else.
Janne walked back in, Seems like the towns people where Hearing the ruckus and thought there was a fight going on, some even talking bets who would walk down the stairs victorious. Little did they know these where not Men fighting but kids. Janne sighed and walked trough the crowd that formed under their room and up the stairs. Janne opened the door to see all three of them In a Pile fighting one another. Janne's lack of sleep got to him, as he Took his sword's sheath and gave them each a good wallop. What was that about?! Janne said very Sternly As The triplets where rubbing their heads
When they each got whacked on the head the blinked a little. Out of instinct the two brothers hid behind yesma a little bit. They each had their tails curled around their legs. When they were asked what their fight was about Yama peek out from behind yesma. " I bit her tail and she smacked me. Then I hit her back. Then he tried to make us stop and we both hit him." Yama said looking at the man. He was a little afraid of what the man was going to do . He really did not want to be in trouble.
Janne got down on his knee. None of you are in trouble. And don't get hung up on it. Siblings fight But there always are consequences to your actions. Janne said Well you caused a ruckus downstairs and i Think the people downstairs are expecting a bloodied thug. So where is what we are going to do. Janne said this as he grabbed some blankets and pillows. We are gonna take the back door. Janne then opened the rooms window. Grabbed Glux and put him on his back. Hold on to me alright? he said as he grabbed Yuma and Yesma. Janne then Jumped from the 2nd story window. He landed and Heard a sharp crack, But it looked like The Triplets where alright.
The young birds were relived that they weren't in trouble. Though they did feel bad that they had caused all that trouble. They watched as the man got blankets and pillows. When he was put on the man's back glux held on like he was told to. " I am " he said. Yama blinked and looked to yesma . They held on as well in case he lost his grip. They did not hold on too tight though. They landed with a crack. They wonder what that sound was. They did hope their friend was alright.
Janne set them down. Feels like a broken ankle Janne said as he started to stand on it. He then Stuffed the Blankets and pillows in his Bag. Alright, There is a city to the north of here, a big one I need to you to stay close to me when we get there. Janne said as he started walking into the woodlands. Janne was unsure if he should bring the kids with him, as he had unfinished business in this city. He would just have to keep a close eye on them. He then stopped and handed Yesma the sweets. Split these up amongst yourselves Janne said has he continued to move.
Once they were set down they looked at their friend. They wondered how they could help him.they then heard what he now told them. " We will." Said yesma as he brothers nodded in a agreement. They would certainly have to work on being good. They followed behind him as he walked. Then he stopped and haned yesma some sweets. She looked at him and smile. She and he brother split them up . Then the each offered a share of theirs to the man. " Here you haven't had anything to eat yet. We want to share. " Said glux softly to him. The other to nodded in agreement.
Janne knelt down to glux and took the sweets from his hand. Janne opened his Visor and popped some in his mouth. Thanks Janne said. They started back on the trail. After Two hours of walking they arrived at a spring. It was a beautiful spring with crystal clear water and a waterfall. Janne sat down with his back leaning on the rock face. You kids could go take a dip if you wanted. Janne said as he pulled out a Book and started reading
Glux just gave the man a smile. "Your welcome." he said to him now. The three young beings then followed him as the ate their sweets. As they got to the spring the looked at the pretty sight. " It's pretty here. " Said yama. They weren't really sure if they wanted to swim or not though. They did walk up to the edge of the water to look down into it.
Janne saw that the kids where on the fence about getting in the water. Janne closed his book and set it on the ground. He proceeded to take off his chest plate. After he did so he took a run and jumped over the Kids standing at the waters edge. Janne hit the water with a thunk and started to swin around.
The young gods were looking at the water when they heard the man moving . They turn to see him run and jump over them into the water. They kind of blinked and looked at him. They each took off their robes. They each looked a bit different from each other. Glux had long white feathers and a dragon like tail. Yama had a almost shadow like appearance to him and a tail like those often seen on some demons. Yesma had brown fur on her body. They each wore shorts and shorts leeverd shirts.
They then each slide into the water. It was a little cold but they did not seem to mind that very much. And soon they were swimming with each other.
Janne watched them get in, and only after a few minutes they where playing with each other in the spring. Janne Hopped out and put his chest plate back on. He sat back down And picked his book back up. He started reading while keeping a eye on the young gods.
They continue to play with each other laughing as they did this. Then yama being the ever naughty creature threw a stone at yesma. She threw one back at him after it hit her in the arm. Your just laughed and watched. Yama smacked yesma with his tail. Spoon they were once again fighting with each other while you was laughing at them. It seemed that conflicting forces like theirs just had trouble being nice to each other.
Janne looked over and sighed. He Figured he would just let them fight it out. They were just gonna start roughhousing when he went back to his book if he stopped them anyway. He did want them to know he was watching so he found a small rock and took aim. He threw it lightly and dinked Yuma on the top of his head. Janne threw it hard enough for him to notice but not hard enough to hurt.
They continued to fight with each other while glux watched and laughed at them. That is until yama was hit on the head by a rock. He paused for a second then looked to glux wondering if he had done that. With that thought he knocked glux off his feet with his tail. He landed with a splash into the water. He gave a growl and smacked yama in the head with his own tail. Now they were all fighting with each other. Though with all the laughing they were doing it might have been more like really rough play then anything else.
Janne looked as the rock he threw caused the fighting to escalate, He started rubbing his helmet. What have you done this time janne he said to himself as he stood up. Then walked over to the edge of the water and watched them. He let his visor down as his helmet was intimidating.
The young beings really did not pay any attention to him. It seemed that they were more focused on their fighting then anything else. Yama shoved yesma into your who stumbled back . Yesma threw a rock aimed at yama. However he ducked and the rock whent flying towards the man. Not that they really noticed this as they just kept on with their fighting.
The rock Hit Jannes helmet. Janne sighed and Stood up and started walking towards them. He was soon Standing over them. Even then They did not stop. Things where starting to get a little out of hand when yesma Got a tad bit angry and swung her Tail at Yama.He ducked but the tail kept going. Janne was about to say something when Yesma's Tail Hit an exposed part of Janne's Side He never finished putting his torso armor on.
The young beings were still very much caught up in their fighting. Yesma did not even notice that her tail had hit the man. Though at least she did not have the razor like tip extended . Though it would have likely hurt pretty bad. They started really hitting each other . It seemed that they were really upset with each other.
Janne shook his head. Here we go again. Janne said as he took his sword's sheath and gave each triplet a wallop. They had finally seemed to calm down. Now what was that about? Janne asked You guys were just getting along two minutes ago He was a bit disappointed in Yesma. He thought she could Try to talk some sense into her brothers , But it appears she isnt that matured yet.
They gave a cringe when he whacked them .They were getting the idea that perhaps they should behave better. They looked at janne with a frown. They were quite for a few seconds then they looked at him. Yama gave an evil little grin. " Fighting is alot of fun. It really easy to make yesma mad. And I think that's funny." He said with a giggle. To tell the truth yesma wasn't really anymore mature then her brothers. She just hid her immature nature part of the time.
You think fighting is fun? Janne asked Then pick fights with other people and see what happens, Most people in this world are not as forgiving as your siblings, They pull punches and Go easy on you, and im sure you do that as well sometimes. But if there are people on this planet you Should not fight Its your Brother and your sister. They are the ONLY ones you can count on. Janne pointed to the town they had passed There are a lot of people who like fightingJanne took off his only piece of armor on his chest. There was a nasty scar where That women's Sword had pierced him. This is what you get when you fight. As Janne put on his Chest plate he saw the young god start to frown, Maybe even cry. Janne knelt down and hugged him. The reason im telling you this is because you could get hurt like me if you keep this attitude up, and im sure your sister and brother dont either. besides there might come a day when they rely on you Janne said warmly,and with that he stopped hugging the child. He looked better, A little happy even.
Yama got the feeling that perhaps he had said the wrong thing. He looked down at his feet as he listened to the man . He now really felt bad . He glanced to his siblings then back to the man . He gave a sniff and started to cry a little. He really could not help it that his nature compelled him to cause trouble. He let the man hug him. It seemed the man's words made his brother and sister look at each other. None of them had though about how bad fighting could be. Yama looked to the man then to his siblings. " I think we try to act better." Yama told him softly.
Janne put his hand on the young gods shoulder Don't try, Do He said as he got out of the water. I think its about time we head on to the next City. Everyone Was still a tad bit shaken after the stern talk he had given Yuma. When they all where ready To walk Janne Scooped Yuma up and put him on his shoulders. you are the lookout today, be sure to Tell me if you see any bad guysJanne said Through his helmet jokingly and with that they where off.
Yama nodded to what the man said to him. Then he and his siblings followed him out of the water. They were thinking hard about what he said ." Sounds good ." Mumble glux when he said they should go. They then put their robes back on. Yama giggled though when he was picked up and put on the man's shoulders. He tried not to put his hand in the man's face. " Okay I'll tell you." He said to him now. Then as they started walking glux and yesma followed behind. They were sure to stay close behind him. But not overly close.
They had been walking for a while now. Just as Janne started daydreaming they arrived at the city.
It was ..big a dip in the ground along the city walls, and the walls. They went as far as the eye could see. They where met by a few town guardsmen who lowered the drawbridge for them. As they entered It was hitting sunset and the town was busy as ever. Janne notion-ed for the Kids to get closer. Now this is a big cityJanne said to him self he then looked down at the kids. Keep close and hold my hand. Janne put both of his hands out for both children. He did not want to admit it but he had never been to this place. And the Inn would take time to find
The young beings were following him as he walked. Glux looked to his sister every once in a while to make certain that she was following him still. Of course he knew that he didn't have much to worry about. She would never leave her brothers. It was her sworn duty to protect them. Even if that meant getting hurt herself.
As they arrived at the city they were surprised at how big it was. They moved closer to him now looking up at him. They were not certain how to react to being in such a huge place. They held his hands frowning slightly now. " It's very big here. And do worry we will." Yesma said. It was obvious that they were very nervous now.
Janne looked down at them. He saw they where getting nervous, he couldn't leave them alone in this place. He sighed and turned a corner. They had found the market. The streets where bustling with people looking to buy and sell. There where even some slave traders, Janne did his best to hurry past them. At the end of the street was the only inn in town. It looked like it was a Bar on the first floor. Janne quickly moved in and started talking to the barmaid. It seems like there where some prying eyes on them.
They held his hands as he lead them threw the city. They looked around at all of the houses new sites. They noted the slave traders but really had no idea what they were. They just noted that the man seemed to move faster when they went by them. As they reached the inn they followed him inside. They scooted a bit closer when they saw a man and a woman staring in their direction. Yama shifted on the man's shoulders trying his best to be still. None of the young beings liked this place.
Janne had just payed for their room as they begun walking up the stairs A group of armored men entered the bar. Janne payed them no mind but he hurried the kids upstairs. They arrived at the room and Janne hurried in. He set Yuma down and laid down his satchel and rucksack. Ill be back shortly He said, but as he was leaving he felt a tug on his leg armor.
The young gods hurried along behind the man. They did not like the bad feelings that they got from this place. They were hurried into the room. As the man started to leave them yama gave him a tug. *" Should we keep the door locked? So the bad people don't get us?" He asked feeling a bit nervous. Glux and yesma have been wondering the same thing.they just had not asked yet.
Yes keep the door locked. Janne said. Then he closed the door. Ill be gone for an hour. Janne said through the door. Don't cause any trouble He also said and with that said. The young ones could hear Janne's footsteps go down the hall. Janne then stepped out of the bar and towards the slums. He wouldn't be back for some time
They looked to him as he left. " Okay we will be sure to behave." They told him as he left them. They they sat on the bed in the room. They were just talking amouge themselves . They were wondering if their friend was going to okay. Soon though they got tired from all the walking they had done. They laid down a cuddled next to each other. Soon they were all three asleep.
Hours later Janne returned. He noticed the Kids sleeping on the only bed so Janne sat down Near the window. He Then Passed out, as he needed to Heal from the wounds he had gotten from his excursion. Janne opened his eyes and realised he fell asleep with the armor and helmet still on. Sunlight had been peering into the room
They young god slept for a while. The one who was kind of waking up when the man awoke was glux . He was laying in front of his sister. Yama was behind her. Glux noted that his sibling were still resting. He could not tell if the man was sleeping or not. So he kept quiet as he was just thinking to himself. He didn't want to wake anyone up.
Janne saw sunlight in the room, He knew it was time to get up and moving. As he stood up his body ached. He was in all aspects Tired. He stood up to the young god looking at him.
Glux was watching the man as he got up. He could tell that the man was tired. He looked at him and gave a small smile. " Do you want me to get them up?" He asked softly. His brother and sister were still sleeping.
No let them sleep. Janne said as he got up and went to the door. You wait here, i'm going to go get some food. Janne then walked out and minutes later he returned with some hotcakes. After setting the Cakes down he returned to the wall he was Sitting and and slumped back down. He then took his helmet off to drink from his canteen.
Glux nodded at the man's words . " Okay we will be right here." He said softly. He watched the man as he left. He did not move though even when the man returned. His sister had her arms around him as she was sleeping. His brother was holding her. He noted that the man seemed very tired. He concluded that he must have done something very exhausting the night before.
Janne had finished drinking from the canteen and came over to the table and took a Hotcake. You would think they would wake up from the smell. Janne said as he started eating one. You had better get some before they get cold Glux. Janne said to him as he motioned to come sit next to him.
Glux gave the man a slight smile. " Heh well I think yesma is waking up now." He said noting that his sister was moving slightly. That's when her tail rub across yama hurt leg. He jumped waking her on up and causing her to knocking glux out of the bed. " I think they are awake." He said as he started to get up. "Sorry glux" said yesma looking at him . " Yeah sorry" added yama now.
Janne Looked at Yama's leg I suppose it would be time to change the bandages. But that can wait till after breakfast. Janne said as he eyed the coffee on the platter. He Then noticed it was black coffee. With a scoff he left the room. He was back with Cream and some sugar. Janne poured a modest amount into the Cup. Then he started with the sugar. One Spoon full, two spoon fulls. Three. Janne then started drinking it
The young gods now we're getting up. " Okay that will be good. Thank you for taking care of us ." Yama said softly. He was always thankful for help. They said their usual prayer. Before they ate. After spending this much time with them the man might notice that their prayers always change just a little each time. They always worded each prayer different. The meaning though was always the same.
Janne had sipped on his coffee while the young ones prayed to their parents. Janne did not know where but he had heard that language somewhere before. Maybe recently? In a dream maybe? Janne shook his head. Janne was roused from his daydreaming by a clunk of glass. He looked down and the syrup container was spilled and Yesma had sticky hands.
While the man was thinking yesma was helping her brothers put some syrup on the hotcakes. As she was doing that her hand slipped and she dropped the container. Then she had tried to catch it and it got all over her hands. But at least it did not make too much of a mess.
Janne sighed and put down his coffee and got out an old rag and the rest of the water and cleaned Yesma's hands. What would you lot like to do today? Janne asked
Yesma frowned as he cleaned her hands now. " Sorry about that." She said softly. They then thought about his question for a few minutes. " What is there to see here?" Asked Yama now.
Well i hear they are having a street fair today, would you like to attend? Janne said as he picked his coffee up again. There will be games and prizes im sure
The young gods looked at him as he spoke. " That sounds like fun." Said yama with a smile now. Then the others gave a nod of agreement. They could all use some fun now.
Janne clapped his hands together as he spoke To the Street fair we go then! He led the Young ones outside to bustling Sounds and colors galore. With games and stalls set up at nearly every street.

They were happy to follow him outside side. Though once they got around all of the noise they looked a bit nervous. " There are lots of people here." Stated glux with a frown. He was not really happy about that it seemed.
Perk up Glux! Janne said with Vigor. Everyone is out today for the same reason we are,there isnt anyone who is going to bat an eye at us. Janne then came apon a fishing booth. Look here you can catch Fish with tiny nets, Wanna give it a try? He asked all of them while looking at glux.
You'd did smile at the man when he told him to perk up.it was just that they had never been around this many people. " I'll try to." He told him as they walked. Then they stopped as he found the fishing booth. " Sure why not." Said you'd to his question. They all three seemed to agree with that.
Janne flicked a Gold Coin at the man running the stand. These three kids are gonna fish till they catch somthing.Janne then sat down and motioned for them to pick up the nets.

The young gods looked at the nets for a few seconds. They were not sure what to do with them. However they soon got the idea. It took several times but finally one of them got a fish. " I got one." Said Yama. The other two seemed proud of him.
Janne clapped as he saw Yama catch a fish. The man behind the counter reached down and gave a fruit to the children as he returned the fish to the tank. What do you lot feel like doing now? Janne asked as he squatted down.
Yama smiled to the man and his brother and sister. "That was fun." He said with a laugh. The took the fruit from the man and told him thank you. They turned to the man as they thought about his question. Yesma moved her tail back and forth as she thought. She really didn't realize she was doing that. " We don't know what all there is to do here. What would you think would be fun?" She asked the man now.
Janne put a finger to his chin in thought then noticed a gathering of a crowd. He stood on his tips of his toes and saw a play about to begin. How about a show? He asked back to the children
The young gods looked at each other then back to the man. " Okay that sounds like a good idea." Yesma said looking at her brothers. They did know that humans like to act out different stories and things like that. " I guess it could be fun." Said yama with a nod. Glux just smiled and nodded in agreement
