Hello, Longbeard here.....also known as Ben.
So a bit on who I am. I am a father of two, husband, humanist, and fan of all things Fantasy and RPG related. I have a lot of gaming experience, both tabletop and online in writing forums, around 30 years for the former and almost 15 for the latter.
Big fan of Dwarves, they tend to be my primary race when playing in the fantasy realms. When not playing Fantasy roleplaying games I gravitate to Star Wars, which is my favorite sci-fi genre.
Regardless of the genre, I particularly enjoy running evil characters....after all, every great hero need an equally great villain.
I am hoping to meet some new friends, experience new writers and stories, and just have fun as I become associated with the community.
Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated, working on a character concept now and am eager to get involved and start contributing (got a lot of reading to do first).
Welcome aboard, I'm sure you'll fit right in.
Once you have your character set up, I recommend going over to the plotting center (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?board=142.0) and making some noise, and joining the discord server, as that's where most of us find people to play with. Also don't be shy about messaging someone if you like their character and have a story idea.
If you plan on creating an open thread (where anyone can join without asking), be sure to list here (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?topic=11795.0) or its liable no one will see it.

Take all the time you need getting your wits about you. But, do let us know when you have your character(s) up and ready to go so we can pounce on them (gently of course). Durin looks interesting but we'll wait for your signal to charge in ;)
