Sometimes, getting back to nature was the only solution.

Despite being a creature of comfort, a being who enjoyed all the hustle and bustle of a city, all the noise and all people in it...some days the forests called out, a cry so loud that it was hard to ignore. So, a trek would be in order, across the boundaries of Serendipity and into the forests of Adela. It was of no consequence to him to take such a journey, he felt it was a vacation usually, it meant that he would be able to relax and wouldn't need to worry about keeping up such facades. He called it a business trip of course, most important, called away by people who needed him to be there.

In reality, there was usually no one.

For all the power he had, for all the abilities he had been granted by whatever forces that were...he still was alone. Not that he cared too much, he missed his sister the most of all, but he did miss his little play toys and pets that were in the city. Those that had been enchanted by him, that had been made into his devoted few. Leaving them however would make them hurt, it would cause some pain, their want and desire to be with him was like leaving a favoured hunting dog at home during a large fox hunt. He however enjoyed the idea of his toys being in such turmoil. He could remember one time one had followed him. Hitched a ride on wagons and horses, all just to find him. It had been adorable, though he had punished her thoroughly. Still, it touched him, it really did.

The forest was calm, perhaps a bit cool, but not unpleasant. The sounds of birds in the air lifted his spirits a little bit. That was the Fae in him, or perhaps the Elf. He casually walked along the path, hands behind his back, his brilliant blue eyes, electric in nature with flecks of other hues dotting them darted back and forth to observe the surrounding area. His parents must have been from this forest, he felt so at home here, despite having been born in Serendipity. He never did have a chance to ask them.

Between the gaps in the tree line, soft light fell upon his golden hair, illuminating the streaks of pink and blue within his neatly combed blond hair. Oh yes, this was not a human that walked the grounds, this was something much more, something different. His overall appearance spoke as if he were a nobleman from the city, a fine brocade upon his cloak, with a large stylized eye on it. He wore a fashionable doublet, simple breeches however, and a pair of fine, thin leather boots. He did also have a pair of fingerless silk gloves on, a simple white pair to give him a different, strange look.

He was going to a favoured spot of his, a simple pool that was fed by a waterfall, though this was not a noisy, rushing waterfall, but one that gently caressed smooth rocks, the water making its way down with a carefree attitude until it pooled in the basin below. It was always so calm there, so...nice? His favourite stone was still there, a large boulder in which he perched himself on to look at the basin below him. The water was so clear and clean that one could see right down to the sandy bottom. Fish of all sizes darted here and there, some entering the river and disappearing down it, while others relaxed and bathed in the gentle sun light that streamed in from above.

He gave a small birdlike whistle, trying to reciprocate the noises he heard in the forest. A curious sparrow came to observe the strange whistling man, and that was when he struck. Not physically, but with a mental command he called the bird to him. Like an obedient slave the small bird quickly came to him, landing on an outstretched finger. "Good bird. Sing." The command was barely out of his mouth as the little bird began to sing its little heart out. The man smiled as he looked away from it, back to the pool. "Dive at the pool." The aerial ability of the bird was supreme as it dived from his finger and skimmed the surface of the pool before returning to his finger. This was easy however, the mind of a bird was no challenge. "Go on, back to the forest." He gave his finger a small shake and with an indignant chirp the bird disappeared back into the tree tops.

Still, it was good to know he could hold such power over them.
