Ent coward under the roots of the elder. At least he was dry now, 'but everything looks so strange'. He had flown above the canopy but could not get his barings. The storm had blown his miles from home, which is a big problem when you are 5 inches tall; even just 1 or 2 miles can take days to cover. Ok so Ent can fly but think insect not bird.

Having slept the night Ent felt more relaxed and clear headed. He flew upto the canopy again and looked farther to the mountains beyond the forest, he gained as much height as he could in the cool morning air, then looked down; he could see a river between him and the mountains to the west. If that is the same river I need to travel north west, he thought. Ent then set out to find some food and drink.
