As always, the only sounds she heard were the whispers of the wind as they sailed over the dunes, and her own chimes as the same breaths of air ruffled her light crown feathers and sent them lightly knocking into one another. A new sound was added as she began to walk; her talons didn't chime against the glass she stood on, but rather gave short, sharp clacks, each marking another meaningless step.

Right now, all of her steps were meaningless. Where did she need to go? The desert was everywhere she looked, the shining glass reflecting the suns rays and amplifying them. A few areas were impossible to look at for the glare. If she'd known there were other things in this world, she might have though about how most wouldn't survive in these conditions. But, she hadn't met anything different before, so why would she meet something different now?

And with that thought, the clacking stopped. With one final sound, she sunk to the ground. She rearranged her large body a tad, bending her legs back in a comfortable way. Why was she here? Was there even anything else? Something told her there must be, but she was tired of aimlessly walking and flying. Maybe she's rest for now. The sun felt so good right now. Its glow was nestled wonderfully in her chest, and even if she'd been suddenly plunged into darkness despite it being the middle of the day, the glow would have stayed, illuminating her delicate features from the inside like a miniature sunset.

Her gaze stayed straight out in front of her for quite a while. She was unable to comprehend that if she continued straight out, she'd eventually come to the end of the desert. Such a thought had never occurred to her. It was the entire world, how could there be a place that wasn't this?

It had been awhile since he’d wandered back over this way. How long? Hell if he knew…he didn’t keep track of things as trivial as time anymore. It didn’t matter to him anymore anyway, he lived apart from it, apart from everything - except this desert. This was his place. Hm…well, ok so it wasn’t really his if they were being technical about it. ‘He’ as in ‘Sahak Zahi’ didn’t really exist anymore save for a skin and a conscious. Everything else…everything that ‘mattered’…belonged to the entity using him as a vessel.

So really, he was just a walking talking container.

Hey, it had it’s perks. For one, he didn’t even feel the heat beating down on him, nor the scorching surface of the glass dunes he was currently traversing over. Dressed in naught but a ratty pair of brown pants, the vast majority of his dusty brown skin was visible. His hands, feet, and upper body were half-heartedly wrapped with lengths of gauze, the tattered ends fluttering in the oven-like air. All over his body were thick lines, somewhat paler than the rest of him, forming an interlocking design - the runes that bound the Guardian to this sack o’ flesh.

Setting his hands behind his head, he sighed and flipped his thick braid idly. He was here, he assumed, because the Guardian wanted to be. Sometimes his feet did that - carried him to places for the other creature’s benefit. He’d given up trying to fight it a long time ago, it was totally useless to resist that which owned your body.
As far as he could tell, this place was special to the Guardian. For all he knew, all this grass had been created by the Guardian long ago - who the hell knew why though. Still pondering useless things, he really wasn’t expecting what he saw when he crested the next wave of crystallized sand.
…Was that a giant glass bird?
Finally his legs let him stop walking. What…this? Was this what the Guardian made him walk all the way out here for? Eh, well, it was the only interesting thing out here anyway…
“Oy, you, giant bird thing!”

((Look! She posted! Crazy.))

She jumped. A hundred crystal chimes sounded as she backpedaled furiously, a movement that came instinctively. In her haste to move backwards, she leaned too far back, losing her balance and crashing onto her rump. She felt a few of her tail feathers crunch, and would have winced if she could.

The cause of her distress was the noise. It was so loud! So sudden. The bird had never heard anything like that before, not even close. Her chimes and clacks were different. She made them, she knew when they were happening.  But the fact that the noise had bothered her so much was still quite odd. She sat there for a second, forgetting her fear, and pondering why exactly she'd been frightened in the first place.

Wait, what had made that noise? She hadn't even looked. The bird twisted her neck, her small eyes catching sight of something.. that wasn't glass. It looked grubby, if she knew what grubby was. It was dark, like the nighttime, except there shouldn't be any nighttime things right now. It was the middle of the day. The sun was high and warm, she could already feel the itch of her feathers reforming.

It was something new. Something else! Something besides all of.. this! She flapped her wings to set herself right and immediately began running full-out towards the thing. Normally doing so was dangerous, inviting a fall through a thin glass sheet into one of the depressions in the desert, but she didn't care. There was a thing there, whatever it was, and she had to grab it before it got away!

(AMG A POST o3o)

He couldn't help the bark of laughter that escaped him. It wasn't every day you got to see a massive bird fall right on it's shiny glass ass like that. Very graceful, that!
His amusement would turn out to be short lived.
Once the odd creature got it's wits about it and spotted him, things got downright wiggy.

Have you ever had a huge glass sculpture chase you down before? No? Well let me tell you, it's a harrowing sort of experience!
The bird thing was suddenly bearing down on him, and his orange eyes popped open wide.
"Er...hey. Hey. Hey! HEY! GAH!!"
To the hellspit with this, he didn't want to get trampled by an oversized trinket!! Turning on his cloth wrapped heel, he took off in the opposite direction over the rolling glass dunes.
"Bad giant bird thing! Quit chasing me!!"

Nefres

The bird blinked as the grubby thing made more noises. The first ones were short and choppy, like running on the surface of the dunes. The second, she rather liked. They rolled, like they all went together, reminding her of the sound of her great wings propelling her through the air.

But, wait, she didn't have time to think about sound! The... whatever-it-was was getting away! Moving by instinct rather than thought once more, she used her legs like springs to propel herself into the air, bringing down her wings and flying forward. Taking scoops from the sky she climbed, moving faster than she'd ever felt the need to before. The hot sun was helping her, supplying her with limitless energy as she strained.

She would not let it get away! Moments later, she'd overtaken the thing. The bird didn't think about it, or understand it at all, really, but such speed would not have been possible if the heat hadn't been out in full force.
She landed with all of her weight. Her eyes shut tightly as she felt the force of her heavy body on her legs. She didn't exactly feel pain, but the sensation of one's leg's nearly shattering as it came into contact with the earth was enough of a warning to never do that again. So great was her fall that the glass beneath her talons was crushed, the cracks spider-webbing away from her. Thankfully, this bit seemed to be fairly thick.

Oh, right! The thing! She'd landed in front of it, hadn't she? Where was it, where? Her long neck swiveled left and right as she panicked, thinking she'd lost the one thing that was different in this sea of heat and glass.

Blue

Ok...ok...that was terrifying.
He'd come to an awkward sliding stop on his rump just before reaching what was now a cracked mess of glass. Granted, it wasn't like it would really harm him in earnest but...he wasn't sure he wanted to run right into it regardless. That giant bird thing was psychotic! Why was it chasing him anyway!? Was it trying to eat him or something??
Haha, the Guardian would have a field day with that one.

He found himself now behind the bird, and there was really only one place to hide. Scrambling to his feet, he quickly perched himself under the glass figure's tail, effectively using the bird's bulk to hide him from it's craning head. Geeze, how ridiculous was this...hiding at the rump-end of a giant birdthing. Totally not how he envisioned spending his afternoon.

Nefres

She could not find the thing, no matter how hard she stretched her neck. In desperation she looked under herself, suddenly horrified that she had landed on top of him. She'd seen what her body could do to the ground, and did not want to see the same thing happen to the thing. Sure, the glass and herself would heal after a while, and the thing probably would to, but it would certainly hurt...

Luckily, her neck was long and movable enough that she was able to stare underneath herself. The bird blinked, seeing nothing there but her own feet and the cracks they had made. On impulse she lifted her wings out of the way, and there, crouching behind her, slightly visible through her transparent bulk, was the thing! She clacked her beak in delight, righting her head and turning herself around. The bird stared at the thing, glad to be able to study it from so close. It really was grubby...

Personal space was not something learned by a being who spent the entirety of her conscious life completely alone. The bird's face was a foot from her, her curious beak just barely brushing his nose. From this distance, she figured, she could snatch the thing with her claws before it had a chance to take off again.

Blue

Well hell, at least the thing wasn't particularly bright. Maybe if he just squated under it long enough, it'd just forget the whole thing and wander away. He'd be pretty okay with that.

...Fuck.

He sort of froze awkwardly when it looked under itself. Well great, there goes that plan! He really did NOT want to run around the freaking desert with a giant dodo chasing him!
"Erk!"
It spun around rather quickly, and then it's sharp beak was literally touching his nose. It was probably a good thing he couldn't hear her thoughts though, as being called 'grubby' would probably piss him off enough to see if glass tasted good.
Speaking of that.
"You've got that look like you wanna snap me up. Just as a warning, if you try to eat me, I reserve the right to try and eat you back."
He clacked his sharp triangular teeth together and opened his black coated mouth, the faint otherworldly blue glow flickering from somewhere deep in his throat, further proof of the Guardian living inside him.
