Physical Description
A tall, beautiful, sensual woman- wearing scantily clad clothing in leather (her choice of armour) and sometimes a sheer, violet robe when seducing men at twilight.  She has dark, violet eyes (sometimes appearing red or blue in certain lights), and straight, black hair with heavy bangs cut just above her eyes.  She has a heavy chest and curves, and a well toned body which helps her in her current profession- after all, she is known as many things: The concubine of the desert, the desert killer, the lady of the desert, and more.

Zarrah's skin is tanned, and her black hair, in certain light, now possesses streaks and flecks of gold, which had only appeared after she survived her first miraculous death and resurrection...

Personality
Zarrah will stop at nothing for revenge. It has turned her heart, which once burned with the desire of freedom and hope and stability, to one of anger and revenge. Because of this, she has become cold, but rather hungry while in bed, and uses her body only for survival and coin, or when she needs to sate her own self, and has since become cold towards the idea of love- finding most men offensive, with ugly hearts.  After her lover had been killed, she never wanted to love again, but focuses all of her efforts on ruining the one man who took from her the only dream she wanted.

Zarrah will come off as cold and direct, and is quite cunning and quick with her hands and tongue.
She is a forced to be reckoned with, and hopes to one day, extract her revenge.

Zarrah is also not afraid to use her body or weapons to get what she wants, and has lead many a foolish man astray, thinking they could tame her when she was only out for fun... or for death.

Magic/Abilities
She has 3 chances to cheat death, as was a blessing (or curse) given to her by a random, magical spirit that took pity on her when she was tossed out into the desert to die
- though since the blessing, she  has only 2 chances to cheat death left.

She can be struck 2 more times, but on the final blow, she will actually die.  So, in a sense she is immortal, but bleeds just like every other human bleeds, except when she dies, she will rise again in the morning, through a vision of a burning flame, and then be ready to fight again.
The first time this happened she was struck down int he street by her enemy, and dragged intot he arena where she fought fiercely and had won- only to be struck down and everyone thought she was dead- as did she, because she did die, but became reanimated and fled to the desert, where myths and legends became born.

When she meets her last death- she is uncertain what will happen, but one thing is for certain, it was made clear she would *not* enter the afterlife.  It was spoken to her by the spirit that it would appear again to collect it's debt.... and relinquish their bond- which is the only thing that had prevented Zarrah from dying that one fateful night against the stars.

Relationships
Carnavus- husband and main antagonist
Rassar- lover (dead)
Castor Bain- a friend/lover(?) it's "complicated"
Radimir- self proclaimed 'protector' and friend who desires to be something more with Zarrah as her heart is breaking over Castor Bane (Since Castor recently abandoned her)

Nieti- her newly acquired black mare

History
Zarrah was a beautiful thing, and although her family loved her dearly, the moment a fat nd greedy merchant wished to buy her, she was sold, even before she had come to age, and married incredibly young.  She was twelve when she became a wife, which was quickly consummated and because of her youth and inexperience, voiced she did not care much for sex.  Not liking the idea she talked back to him, her husband whipped her down, but since he paid good money for her, he instructed his wives to teach her the art of sex, using whatever toys, animals or methods they should.

Eventually, Zarrah learned much on the art and how to please her husband. What she learned from this that if he was happy, she'd get a little bit of money and freedom in return.  Though, the more ways she found to please him, the more freedom she got, the more she yearned to be truly free and away from this life.  The little slivers of freedom were just not enough...

Her free spirit could not be quelled so easily, and many a nights she found herself being punished for pushing the line.  But she did not love her husband, nor the women all around her who had helped turn her into her husband's favorite "sex slave", and when she was 18, she made an attempt to escape into the market, where she asked a man to take her away, far away from this place.  His name was Rassar, a handsome and rugged man, about twice her age with a strong body and a thick head of curly, black heart and a gristly face.

They didn't get far when her husband's men sniffed them out, and to her surprise, the man fought to protect her.  That night, as they made their way out of hte city, she asked him why he saved her.  When his response was , "Becuase it was right." she found herself falling in love.

She traveled with this man for a time, where he taught her how to fight and even a little how to thieve. A slight of hand made it easy to get coin and food in your pocket.  She adored everythign about this criminal, and  even asked him to take her to Adela, or any other place far far from here and perhaps, even get married. He would have obliged, except the two were found, the man killed and Zarrah taken back to her jealous husband who assumed she had been adulterous, had her punished.

She was shunned and made an example of, then sold into slavery where everyday she grew ever more hungry for revenge...

There are many rumors saying a lady from the desert feeds on the souls of those who travel outside the safe grounds.  They say she'll lure you in with the wicked promise of desires, then cut your throat and leave your body to rot in the desert sands.
There are also rumors saying this woman was a former slave, even perhaps the former female slave who slaughtered all in combat-
But not much is known on the truth of this myth, and who this desert temptress really is, but one thing is for certain, those that had survived have carried out a message.

She's out for revenge, and when the time is right, she will have it.

She is known as an advocate for freeing slaves, stealing from traveling merchants and sleeping with men for coin. She never flinches from battle, and has become fierce and cut throat with a sword.  Hidden daggers and knives adorn her body, and even a bladed fan when she plays her seductive rule as desperate and hungry desert concubine...

She is biding her time, in hopes to extract her revenge upon her husband that tormented her for so many years and had slain her lover, who had been her only promise of esacpe.  Then, he made a mockery of their love by shaving off Zarrah's hair and branding her in the street, where she was viciously stoned. When Zarrah was well again, her husband came to her in the cell and asked her to beg him for forgiveness, and he might take her back as a slave. When she refused, and tried to lash out on him, she was raped and beaten, then sold out as a petty slave.

Since that time, her husband had risen in wealth and rank.  Not knowing his former wife was still alive, he couldn't realize it was her sabotaging his caravans, as she continually plotted her revenge. She wanted her husband to die- and in the meantme, she wanted to watch him suffer.

Revenge is a powerful tool... and a powerful source of destruction.

There is also something surrounding the myth of Zarrah..
Some call her the desert princess, a lady of death, or the desert concubine (though this tale is always embellished upon men who mention they gave up an entire trading cart to her for just one night of pleasure...)

But one thing is a mystery..
Some say she is real. Others a ghost...

Though most would not know that during Zarrah's darkest hour that a mythical being took pity on her in the desert.  Though she swore she would have died without it, she made a promise to a djinn, or something like one, that she would have 3 wishes. All she wanted was three tries.
She knows the pact is real, because she only has 2 chances left.
For this, Zarrah can not die, but is immortal, but on her third strike, she's out...
She will die, but fade away to dust, and her soul- well, it could become lost, or she herself may turn into one of the djinn, to serve for all of time.
She is unsure what her future brings, but she knows one thing..

She has 2 tries left to extract her revenge..
and time is running out.

Untitled song about 'Lost Lovers' (written half by me and half by lion)
And before the morning come,
hand to hand they'd understand,
lives sifting to the sands,
buried under dunes
life lost, love gained
only tears heard by the moon.
and life would be gone
those lovers rotting under the desert sun.

By moon and star,
They fell so very far,
Away.
Facing the sands,
Hope in hand
Braving the break of day
Two lovers they were
Escaping the hurt
From all that held them in binds
But how would they've known
Was it written in stone
That love came with blood as its price.

And before the morning come,
hand to hand they'd understand,
lives sifting to the sands,
buried under dunes
life lost, love gained
only tears heard by the moon.
and life would be gone
those lovers rotting under the desert sun
