Seh'lvah paced around the valley, taking everything in. It was still beautiful to her, still magnificent. But not the same, and everything that was missing, she couldn't fix.
She couldn't get Shamgar back, not after the words that were exchanged, the feelings that were hurt. The truths that were told.
And so, as she aimlessly wandered amidst the vast natural beauty she called her home, her mind drifted on to sombre subjects, the thought of her losses, how her son no longer called her mother, how her love no longer loved her, and she began to wonder if she had any meaning left.
She began to contemplate dark thoughts, of tyranny, of destruction. Of death.
Then she spotted a Gryphon in the valley, and for a moment, her heart brightened, and her eyes grew wide.
