Of all the things that could have ruined her day, Siobhan hadn't expected a mudslide to be it!

Yet as fate would have it, that was exactly what it was.

While traveling back over the mountains to return to Connlaoth after chasing a criminal magic-user high into the Kilanthros, the journey back had been one disaster after the next, culminating in the mudslide that rainy, stormy evening. The mountainside above them simply gave out, and mud and rock and even trees came pouring down like an avalanche, taking a chunk of the mountainside with it.

Only by the grace of Ansgar was her party able to avoid it.

Unfortunately, in the process she got separated from her group, and even after the slide had ended, the path was so badly damaged and unstable there was no way to safely cross back over.

"It's okay!" Siobhan shouted to them, even as her nerves stood on end and pulse drummed in her ears. "I'll just...I'll meet y'all on the other side! I got enough rations, I'll be fine!"

Not that anyone had any choice on the matter.

And so Siobhan had taken off, pulling her hood in tight to try and ward off the pouring rain, and eventually she took up shelter in a small cave that looked dry and unoccupied. She didn't bother trying to make a fire; everything was too wet. But she made the most of her night, listening to the rain, watching the lightning arc across the sky, and munching absently on some tough, tasteless jerky.

It would be better in the morning, no doubt!

God's, it was cold.

Zorvan never really liked the cold, found it incredibly horrible. As well as inconvenient, stupid, and all around just a big pain in the ass. Still, he found the view of the Kilanthros very pleasant in the mornings. He'd been up in the mountains tracking a band of Mordecai, rumor had it a Knight of the White Lily was among them and he wasn't about to let one of those get away from him.  But it was still cold.

Only by continual cursing of Ansgar did he manage to distract himself from it.

He wasn't sure how he'd manage to kill them all, he was grossly outnumbered after all. But, fortunately, an avalanche had occurred, taking a chunk of the mountainside with it. The group was separated though Zorvan didn't know how many were in what group.

He did, however, know which one had fewer people in it.

And so he spent the better part of the next day tracking the smaller group through a mudslide. A cold, wet, sticky mudslide. Gods, it was damned cold. Still, he had people to find and Mordecai to kill. With begrudging determination, he trudged on.

Zorvan was up to his waist in mud.

He thought it was mud, hoped it was. Without the amount of animals that no doubt lived in these damnable mountains, it wouldn't have surprised the Mordecai to learn he was covered in shit.

Still, he slowly trudged through the mud/shit. He'd seen a cave nearby and thought to sleep the rest of the night away. Damned mudslide. He wondered if this was Ansgar's doing, the flaccid prick of a god. Wouldn't have surprised him to learn so.

The cave wasn't far from his position but because of the mud, it took him over an hour to waddle over to it. Thankfully it was facing down the mountain and all the mud would pass by it.

He approached the entrance of the cave when thunder roared and lightning crashed. The sound was like a thousand trees snapping at once and the shock the strike blew Zorvan off his feet, landing in the mud.

He swore and stood up shakily, then slipped again and fell face first. Damn it all, he thought as he managed to recover his balance and stumble into the cave.

Damn it all, indeed.

Cold and wet, Siobhan finally talked herself into changing her clothes. Her coat and hood had kept her fairly dry, but her boots had gotten a bit soggy, and her breeches were wet and flecked with mud. She hadn't wanted to change, because it was so cold the thought of baring skin sounded miserable, but she finally worked herself up to the task.

She took off her boots and tapped them on the ground to break off some of the caked on mud, then set them aside to air out. She left her coat on and upper body covered, because that didn't really need changing, but pulled her spare, dry breeches from her haversack and stripped off her muddy ones.

Of course, she had terrible timing.

Because that was the exact moment a man suddenly came stumbling into the cave, catching her (quite literally) with her pants down.

Siobhan screamed bloody murder before her brain had even processed the situation and without thinking, she chucked a heavy boot at his head.

Zorvac, to his credit, managed to side-step out of the way so that his head didn't catch the boot. His shoulder, however, did. He spun around, the mud making his own boots incredibly slick. He stopped after a completely a complete 360-degree turn on the mud, standing shakily as he faced his attacker.

He couldn't have been more shocked to find a woman. A nude woman. Admitly, a very beautiful woman who was naked.

"Ugh.." He stammered, hoping the mud was hiding his reddening face and the slight tent in his breeches.

Still shrieking, Siobhan scrambled to yank up her fresh, dry breeches. Her fingers trembled from the cold and fumbled with the laces, but she miraculously managed to begin the process of tying them.

"W-what're ya doin', you cad! You're supposed to turn your back! Like a gentleman!" she yelled, red-faced and mortified. "Ain't proper, peepin' like that you...you peeper!"

Peeper? Well, he hadn't been accused of being that before. Actually, he hadn't been accused of anything. No one had caught him.

"Excuse me, but it isn't my fault you're stripping randomly in the wilderness!" He said, wiping the mud from his face. He reached down, grabbing her boot before chucking it at her. "And you shouldn't be throwing boots at strangers, you annoying... woman!"

Siobhan caught the boot, and squealed in horror because it was covered in mud, and all that mud wound up splattering onto her.

"Ahhh! You are so rude, you man!"

Zorvac paused, frowning slightly. What was this person doing in a cave?

"Yes," He said simply walking over and snatching his boot.
