"Heretic King!" Limadan turned around as a man called him upon his title. "Or should I say.. King of ruin?" A deep sigh resounded from Limadan. The king of ruin was an insult especially designed for him. Indicating that his powers and claims were false. He looked at the man stood before him. Clad in white armor. A knight from some sainthood that was sent to battle him. He put his hand on the hilt of the zweihander, pulling the enourmous blade from his back, with a slow and threatening sheen. The knight raised his shield and spear. Even though the knight was dwarfed by the Heretic King's appearance, his spear had a longer range than Limadan's zweihander.

And it didn't take a genius to realize said spear was enchanted. But the shield was not. And that was where the mistake was made. He'd break the man's arm with a mere simple swing from his sword. "You seek.. To challenge me?" A deep and low growl resounded from Limadan. "Your god shall abandon.. You'll fall into oblivion.. Join me." He said, readying his blade. "Or have your soul tormented eternally.." A dark chuckle resounded from the masked bloodrager. "The latter is more fun for me.."

"Fiend!" The knight charged forward, recklessly. Something that he occasionally did. He took a step forward, lifting his blade, turning his hand on the grip extention and pulling it back down again to crash down on the holy knight whom brazenly charged at him, spear brandished. Yet, he raised his shield.

The spear slid underneath an opening between two plates in the armor, piercing Limadan's gut. Yet, the reckless charge was accordingly punished. His sword had broken through his shield, followed by slicing through his armor and shoulder, slicing through about every vital organ in his left thorax to the waist down. Bones shattering under the tremendous blow.

Limadan lost the grip on his blade, grabbing the spear and pulling it from his gut. A wound that needed tending. The clunk of armor dropping resounded through the mountains as the dead knight's body had dropped to the floor, surrounded by a puddle of his blood. Limadan held up his hand, trying to harvest the knight's soul.

Yet, he failed. A divine magick had nullified his abilities temporarily. The white light that radiated from his abdomen, inflicting a burning pain, confirmed his suspicions. He couldn't tap into his dark arcane powers. He sheathed the zweihander, putting a hand on his abdomen.

A trivial and irritating matter.

The glow from the white light soon faded and in its place stood a Valkyrie. A tall imposing figure standing at least six feet in height atop a golden pegasus steed and brandishing a golden spear of the heavens as well as an enchanted shield. Long blonde hair in a warrior braid and steel gray-blue eyes looked at the Heretic King fiercely before her gaze turned to the body of the dead knight.

Holding out her spirit vial, she firmly coaxed the warrior's soul inside the glass vial. "Come, and be reborn in the land of Valhalla." The knight's spirit rose up and out of the corpse and into the glass container, turning the glass from clear to a deep glowing blue in color.

Capping it then, Vanesse then looked back at the fearsome armor-clad being before her, a mighty brute of a foe he was with the strength to match no doubt. Yet the Valkyrie showed no fear, having battled demons before and others of similar nature.

Stepping back with Thunder her steed, Vanesse lifted her spear and shield again, readying it to attack. "You shall not have his soul." she intoned in a voice which brooked no argument.

A low snarl left Limadan. The cavalry arrived. Just in time to reap the soul he had sown. The light magic radiating from the creature was disgusting. Yet, he was momentarily cut off from his arcane arts. And thus he could only witness the warrior's soul pulled from his cold and torturous grasp with dismay. He witnessed how the soul raised from the corpse. A pure white soul. Unlike the chains of corruption wich appeared when he plundered souls. Chains that tortured them for eternity. Chains that kept them bound to his will.

Spear and shield raised, the Valkyrie approached him. Only an amused, dry and bitterly dark chuckle resounded from behind the mask, pulling out the enourmous zweihander from his back. He was still hurt. But he felt his connection to his darker arts slowly returning, it wouldn't take long before he was able to consume a soul of his own to heal and partake in battle.

If he wouldn't get carried away. "You tell me.. I shall not recieve the fruit of my game?" Another dark chuckle resounded from the Heretic King. "A mere thief." He said as he stepped forward, raising the blade. His left hand grabbing the leather around the start of the blade, pulling it down. Resulting in an utterly devastating blow that would even force the Valkyrie to her knee, if she chose to guard against it.

Sidestepping the blow from the blade, commanding Thunder with the reins to move just in time, Vanesse raised her shield and thrust her celestial spear towards the chest plate of her mighty foe. At the same time, Thunder reared back and thrust two powerful hooves toward the Heretic King, intending to knock him down or at the least make him stumble. A fierce look of battle was in the Valkyrie's eyes then, no words were spoken.

After this battle was through, she would return the soul to Valhalla where it would then prepare to fight on their side. As long as the knight's soul was in the glass vial it could not be harvested by this fiend, nor could the vial itself be broken, enchanted to withstand any amount of physical force it may be dealt. And Vanesse fully intended to see this through. This being was not even so much of a hindrance to her at this time.

The spear seemed to simply scrape off of the chestplate. A dark green glint and unholy symbols showing themselves on the armor. It was an enchanted set. Powerfully enchanted so. The hooves of the horse clunked into Limadan, yet he did not move. No, the gargantaun man stood his ground, his leg cracking the rocky ground. He stepped forward with a tremendous horizontal slice towards the valkyrie. Both hands positioned on the blade to pull out the very power of his full strength.

Shadows emerged from the ground, with a loud hiss. Tormented screams, getting a hold of the winged horse. Aiming to hurt and kill the magnificent creature. Or at least distract it from the battle between their masters.

Ethereal-Star

Deflecting the hit with her shield, the force of such being half-absorbed into the strong metal, the Valkyrie met the rest of the backlash head on as she was not lacking in strength either. Although this particular foe was mightier than most, rivaling even the strongest demons and other evil adversaries she had fought in the past, it only made her step back a couple of feet with Thunder, the tremor from the blow traveling up her arm. Yet her stance did not falter. Vanesse tried a different tactic, going for the enemy's legs this time with her golden spear, making a clean jab towards the area just below the kneecap of his right leg, letting out a loud war cry as she executed this move.

Thunder meanwhile, reared his head back and swiped with his hooves at the shadowy forms around him and his mistress, trying to drive them back. The pegasus was not frightened nor did he retreat from the battle, as he was strong of will and mind just like his mistress. His long, majestic tail also swatted at the tormented souls around them. Both wings furled and unfurled with such intense power, it would knock back all but the most formidable of shadow wraiths from their positions.

The winged horse managed to knock away the wraiths, though, it was immediatly surrounded once again by these dreadful, tormented souls that aimed to take it's life.

Limadan's right leg sweeped sidewards. Dodging the blow. The loud clunk of armor resounded as he braced once more, pivotting on his heels and using his momentum of the spin to deliver a blow that was at least three times the strength of the one prior. A feral roar that would deafen Vanesse's cry itself resounded from the masked berserker.

Ethereal-Star

Not deterred, Thunder executed the same move as before to swipe away the shadows surrounding him and his mistress. His great wingspan unfurling once more to a length of twelve feet in diameter and with the strength of the heavens behind it. He neighed his own battle cry as Vanesse focused on the fiend before her.

The Valkyrie stumbled back from the force, again half of the damage and force being absorbed into her enchanted shield. This action only served to bolster her own strength and determination. She made to strike him in the gut, a chant of battle and victory leaving her lips as she drove the tip of the spear his way.

"The Might of the Heavens strike you down,
By the light of the stars,
The glory of angels,
The universal force of All That Is,
By the power of The Great One and all things good,
And all the strength invested in me,
You shall fall!"

It was a powerful prayer of celestial magic that Vanesse sometimes called upon in order to combat the more potent of enemies she at times came across. At the very least, it would slow down the brute and make him less certain of himself and his abilities.

Theme: Worlds Collide [Instrumental]

Limadan stepped forward, bloodthirst seen in the black and soulless eyes behind the mask. The spear drove through his armour, stabbing him in the gut. He started laughing manically as the valkyrie chanted a battlecry. Laughing loudly, the laugh thundering across the mountains. He grabbed the spear, an iron grip that would not relent. A loud hiss resounded. The lament of dozens of souls resounding. Screams, hisses, cries. Sobbing. Slowly, his dark minions crawled from the ground, crawling on his back and forming a type of disgusting wings that spanned a total of five meters. The limbs and faces of the anthromorphic souls still visible. A mass off writhing corruption. Negating the prayer completely. Only fueling his bloodthirst further.

He dropped the enourmous zweihander, his right hand still on the spear with a solid grip. His shadows keeping Thunder busy.

The gauntlet of his right hand dropped down, revealing the black and green corrupted arm. Black smoke errupting from it and the chains utilised in capturing chains slowly trailing behind it, in a manner that defied gravity.

Within the blink of an eye, Limadan thrusted the corrupted palm forward, aiming to grip Vanesse around her face, step forward and smack her down to the ground with unnatural and colossal might. All under another bellowing and thundering laughter.

"Saadakseen Harmaa!"

Ethereal-Star

As the spear made contact with his armor, piercing through to the enemy's gut, Vanesse tried to free her weapon from the brute's mighty strength. Channeling every last bit of her own strength into her attempts, she managed to loosen the golden spear in his hand, it slipping from his grasp and back into the Valkyrie's control. It had taken considerable effort to do that, and she brought up her shield just in time to deflect his next attack. His hand would slam into the shield instead, golden sparks ringing out into the air with a clang!

Vanesse wasted no time in launching her spear at him again, this time aiming for his exposed arm. His mistake, and he would pay for that. By striking the black chains of corruption trailing behind his arm, the heavenly warrior aimed to weaken his hold on the spectres still attacking her steed. Thunder continued to fight valiantly though, rearing his hooves back for another strike at the shadows.

"Yfir sja ovinr! Ykkarr hrid eiga koma!"

(At the enemy! Thy time has come!)

((OOC: More or less that's what the above means, although I hastily pulled it from an Old Norse online dictionary. It most likely is not grammatically correct, but for the sake of the story, we'll assume it is. :) ))

"Face me with all your might!" His voice seemed to double in volume. Growing deeper, more ferocious. The chains wrapped around the spear, clenching it with a near unbreakable grip. Hissing at the contact with a hole weapon.

"Tap into all your strength! Call for your god!" A sick grin was spread across his face, his eyes lighting up with a green and unholy fire. "YOUR PRAYERS WILL NOT HELP YOU HERE!" A loud roar resounded as he pulled his arm and the chains backwards, trying to pry the spear from her grip. At the same time, his enormous and disgusting wings beated with massive power, smacking him forward into Vanesse, using his weight and strength to overpower her. Seeming to not even care about the blood trickling from his stomach. "Are you ready to face oblivion?!"

((Saadakseen Harmaa is Finnish. 'For Harmaa'))

Ethereal-Star

The Valkyrie was not deterred. Not at all. Firmly grasping onto her spear, she did not let go of it, using the temporary weakness given to wrench it away from the chains. Backing away with Thunder from the coming onslaught, Vanesse took that opportunity to raise her shield and attempted to bash him across the face with it as Thunder make to strike with both hooves and wings again.

Yet, Vanesse made one wrong assumption. The giant still had his other hand. As she brought up the shield to slam him in the face, he brought up his free arm, catching the edge of the shield before it contacted with his face, stopping it dead in it's tracks with an unnatural amount of strength. The spear was pulled from his grip and he flung the shield aside at the same time, a move to open her defenses for just a split second.

And within that split second, the giant stepped forward, aiming a tremendous punch at Vanesse's face. A punch that, despite her armour, her weight and weaponry, would be able to send her flying.

Ethereal-Star

As the shield was flung aside, the punch to Vanesse's face connected with her jaw, sending her flying right off of Thunder several feet, landing flat on her back at the same time the mighty steed reared back with a loud neigh! to attack the brute with powerful front hooves. Standing up as fast as she could after getting her bearings, the spear still clutched in her hand, the celestial warrior rubbed the place where she had been struck before using the distraction her mount provided for her to go retrieve her shield. That would definitely leave a bruise but the Valkyrie had dealt with much worse in the past.

Medievarad

"You are nothing!" Limadan roared out as he ducked underneath the horse's attack, grabbing it's two front legs. He turned around slowly, the ground cracking under the tremendous force he was excercicing. And, like that, he threw Thunder several meters away from the two. Some of the spectral shadows immediatly surging behind it to keep it away from their dreaded master.

Limadan turned to Vanesse, slowly walking over to her. "Fight with all you have. Rise to your feet! Strike me down!"

Ethereal-Star

The pegasus landed hard on the ground, suffering only a few bumps, scrapes and bruises which were already starting to quickly heal. Getting up, Thunder lifted his wings and lashed out at the shadow wraiths with them, knocking the dark forms effortlessly aside, before rising up into the air to rejoin the battle with his mistress, landing swiftly beside her.

During that time, the Valkyrie had retrieved her shield and stood proudly once more with spear in one hand, shield in the other. Vanesse did not appreciate the taunting by this despicable foe, however she was far from being deterred or rendered incapable of continuing to fight. She would show this monstrosity just how utterly wrong it was, its foolish assumptions would lead to its demise. It was the same for all evil she had faced.

Remounting her steed and raising her holy spear in the air again, she roared out a battle cry and charged him once more, twirling the weapon expertly in hand before aiming for his midsection, her shield ready as always to block any attacks he would dish out.

Medievarad

"Good!" Was what he roared before he stepped aside, infront of the horse, the spear scraping past his armour. He extended his arm and stepped forward, halting the Pegasus in it's tracks with a brutal amount of stopping power underneath it's throat.

At the same time, he would grab Vanesse's leg and pull her out from her saddle. "That soul is mine! Give it.. Or suffer the same fate!"
