Bryn nodded her thanks to the tree spirit then turned to her companion. She appeared to be much more at ease now that she knew her friend wasn't angry at her. In fact, she was pleasantly surprised at how kind and understanding he was.

"When do you wanna go to this place?" she asked. "Also, you know where this place is? Cause I don't."

Mephistel

He smiled.

-Well, the festivities aren't over yet...and we will take one of the other spirit passage to get there, it will be quicker..-

He said as he walk back to sit down and eat some more. Everyone was enjoying themselves and the dancing was continuing, music didn't stop, faun were changing place in order for them to eat as well and enjoy the dance.

Fukurou

"Okay." Bryn smiled and nodded. She felt as though a great weight had been completely lifted and that she could once again enjoy the festivities.

Bryn made her rounds, going from group to group, chatting with a few spirits here and dancing with a few others there. She was having a great time and no one seemed to treat the little elven girl any differently. Despite her elevated mood, she couldn't help but think about the egg for the duration of the time.

Mephistel

The festivities went on all night, under the stars, everyone was having fun, eating, dancing and singing. Until it was time to say good-bye. Ahuzanel walked to Wolfang and at the wolf on his head. The large white beast hadn't move much for all the festivities, simply guarding the place and making sure nothing would happen to the lot of spirits wouldn't be annoyed.

The wolf got up, stretching his large body and gave a small lick to the spirit's face.

-It's time to go...Wawazahel is waiting for us.-

He climbed on the beast's back and waited for Bryn to do the same.

-Hope on...-

Fukurou

Bryn was exhausted from the celebration. She wondered how the spirits could celebrate like this all night and still look so as though they're full of energy. Did they even need sleep to begin with?

"Who's Wawazahel?" she asked as she joined Ahuzanel on the back of the wolf.

Mephistel

-It's the spirit who told us where the egg belonged...he is waiting for us.-

Ahuzanel answered with a smile. The wolf started to walk and they join with the tree spirit who was waiting for them. They left the place and started to walk all together toward the forest again and eventually reach a river. The spirit entered the river, eventually disapearing under the surface in a green glow. Wolfang did the same with his two passengers as they entered the passage and surfaced on the other side from a river.

-The nest of this egg is near the mountain...do be careful, it's mother is probably angry...-

The spirit said as he left. Ahuzanel waved good-bye.

Fukurou

Bryn kept quiet as Ahuzanel interacted with the other spirit. She waited a while before breaking the silence.

"That spirit said the mother'll be angry. Do you think she will attack us? Should be be prepared? Should we plan something?"

Mephistel

Ahuzanel shook his head slowly to Bryn's question as they started traveling toward the mountain.

-If we give her back her egg, she will be happier then angry, and since you are not the one who took it from her, she won't be thinking you are the thief..-

He said.

-Don't worry...I'll protect you.-

He said as they kept going.

Fukurou

"Thank you," Bryn said as she clutched on to her egg.

As they got closer to the mountain, her desire to flee grew more and more intense. However, this wasn't because she wished to sell the egg but was rather due to the fact that she had grown somewhat attached to it. She had only spent a few hours with the egg and it wasn't even alive at this point, but having to watch over it has caused her to grow fond of the idea of raising it herself. She played with the idea for a while, but quickly shook it off, telling herself over and over again that his baby animal needed to be with her mom and not with a young girl.

Mephistel

Feeling the turmoils of emotions in the young girl's heart, he knew just how much it was shaking her. He could tell what she was feeling, but not from where it came from. The wind was rustling in his feathers as they came to a stop.

-We are close...Ahuzanel...-

The wolf said. The spirit nodded and looked at his surroundings, they were close to the mountain, almost at it's foot. The mother of such an egg shouldn't be too hard to see. He eventually saw her, but she had also seen them.

A tall fiery pheonix took flight from her nest, heading there way, as she had felt the presence of her egg with them.

-Please calm your anger, oh great pheonix! We have come to give back the egg that was stolen from you! I am Ahuzanel! Guardian of the Thundra forest! We are not your ennemies!-

Ahuzanel called, standing up on the wolf's back, extending his arms on each side. The phoenix stopped in mid air, looking at them with his golden eyes.

Fukurou

Bryn gaped at the magnificence of the phoenix. Her orange and red feathers rustled like fire in the wind and as she circled above the three of them ash fell to the ground like snow. Bryn was both amazed and terrified. She wanted to speak out to the magnificent bird, but all she could do was watch in awe as it flew above them.

Mephistel

Ahuzanel sighed as the phoenix seemed to have calmed down and turned toward Bryn.

-Alright, give her the egg back now...she will accept it...-

He said to her, with a reassuring smile, motioning for her to go on ahead, he wouldn't be far behind, but it was up to her to give that egg back.

-I'm right behind you...-

Fukurou

Bryn gulped and froze in place. It took a little bit more nudging from Ahuzanel before she headed towards the steep cliff-face of the mountain with the sack in her hands. Perhaps if she climbed up to the nearest ledge she can get a better vantage point.

She clutched the burlap sack tightly in her jaws as she scaled the side of the cliff. She was nearly at the ledge when a a chuck of rock came loose under her grip and went tumbling down to the base. Heart pounding in her chest, Bryn hung there, staring at the ground below her. She shuddered a bit before she finally managed to pull herself up.

"Er-excuse me miss," she shouted at the phoenix, standing on the edge an fishing the egg out of the sack. Bryn held the egg up in the air, maintaining direct eye contact with the beast. Deep down she was terrified, but she tried her hardest to push her fears down and to present her bravest face. "I have your egg and I want to give it back!"

The phoenix dove towards Bryn, stopping right in front of her. They paused for a few seconds, neither breaking eye contact or moving any more than was necessary. After what felt like ages, the great bird gave Bryn a slow blink before it gently took the egg into its talons and flew off. Bryn let out a sigh of relief and sat on the edge, watching the mother fly up the mountain.

Mephistel

Ahuzanel was watching from the back of Wolfang. His eyes following Bryn as she worked her way up to give the egg back to it's mother. He watched the interraction between the two, tension filling the air, but neither of them gave any field.

He could feel both of their emotions and his feathers were rustling softly. He smiled when she finally gave the egg back and the magnificent phoenix took it in it's claws and went off toward the top of the mountain.

-Good job! You did well!-

Ahuzanel called to her when it was over. He smiled kindly, proud of her.

Fukurou

Bryn sat at the edge of the cliff for a moment, watching as the phoenix flew away. A warm feeling welled up inside of her. It felt pretty good to do something something nice for someone else for a change. Bryn smiled and waved up at the mother phoenix before it flew out of sight. She sighed and crawled back down the mountain. When she arrived back at Wolfang, she gave Ahuzanel a tired smile.

"I did it."

Mephistel

Ahuzanel nodded at her.

-Yes, you did! Good job there!-

He said to her, extending his hand to help her back on Wolfang's back. She had done well and Ahuzanel was proud. Of course, she could have decided to not give it back, but she had and as a protector of the forest, he was happy. He was well aware of the wild's law and he wouldn't oppose it, but humans intervention were often against the natural state of affairs in the forest, mountain or other environment.

-You look tired...do you wish to rest?

Fukurou

Eyes framed by dark circles, she nodded. As the two of them ventured through the forest, she rested her head on Ahuzanel's back and drifted further and further into the warm embrace of sleep.

Mephistel

Ahuzanel smiled softly as the girl was falling asleep. He motion for Wolfang to walk a little more slowly, now that this was settle, there was nothing left but the peace of the forest as they made their way trough it. The sun softly hitting the leafs and trough the tree roof.

The wind was soft and the breeze calm, they walked for a long while until they reach a small river, where they stopped. He took Bryn in his arms and put her on a bed of leafs, then let her sleep all she need, sitting not too far from her, Wolfang next to them as he watched the sun go down.
