And with that, there was a lot that happened at once. The first was the sudden obedience Athok had to Kirsten's words, internally agreeing with her though his body sheepishly reacted. Then there was the sudden blink of an eye where she was next to Gladiux, lifting him up easily combined with Athok's strength. The snake head smashed down, but not soon enough, as the group barely escaped the explosion of mist, a thick, mighty fog now rising at least eighty feet into the sky around where the snake crashed.

And with that, a pair of large, wide eyes stared to them through the fog. As if the head of the snake floated, which it did, the teeth barely seen by Gladiux as he listened to Fang's words. The snake, though, just stared, and stared, watching him with a distorted grin as they traveled farther and farther away, as if waiting for something to happen. But yet, as much as Gladiux tried not to believe it, the snake didn't follow. It remained there, which only pounded fear further into Gladiux's chest. And so for there, for there he accepted a retreat, slumping over Kirsten, letting his head hang over her shoulder with defeat as his hands went to Athok's maine, who continued to run away with a fair speed, one that didn't push too much.
