CORLEIK
(Kohr-leek)

1. Racial Description Corleiks have hair that ranges from reds to purples (no blues). Their eyes are all the color of deep purple amethyst. They possess a jewel on their body thats a part of them. Each Corleiks jewel is in a different location unless its a family line then it'll always be in the same spot. Corleiks are tall beings ranging from 6ft 5in (shortest) to 8ft 10in (tallest) children are typically 5ft 9in to 6ft 0in tall at least by ages 7-10. Their skin ranges from pale olive to light tan. They are typically all physically fit. As long as a Corleik has their jewel they can live past 2500+ years. Without their jewel they can only survive 200 years tops. When a jewel is removed the Corleik permanently loses connection with their ally spirit losing them forever. The jewel itself takes 2 years to rebuild itself. During this time a corleik can still cast abilities taught to them by their former ally spirit.

2. Society
Corleiks are exclusive. They tend to keep to themselves and their own. This is mainly because the jewel on their body is worth a fortune. Removing it kills the Corleik. Many have stories to tell about friends and lovers who have turned on them. Even though they are exclusive, they can be inclusive when it best benefits them best. Only very few Corleik freely and willingly associate with other races besides their own.

3. Names
Females have a one syllable names and males have a two syllable name. Names usually all end in vowels both first and last.

4. Gender and Sexuality
Male or Female. Straight, Homosexual, Bisexual, etc.

5. Diet
Primarily omnivores. They have a healthy mix of vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.

6. Views on Magic
A race of fierce warriors who have a mythical ability. This ability allows them to summon a powerful spirit that fights alongside them in battle as well as grants their summoner unique skills, powers, etc.

The jewel on a Corleik contains celestial energy to help the summoner conjure a spirit from the outer planes. How the conjuring ceremony works for example is a Corleik has to put an item they hold dear to them and break off a piece of the gem on their body putting both items in a hole in the ground. The gem itself is a part of their body and any kind of damage done to it feels like a stab wound times twenty. Once both ingredients are placed in front of the Corleik they then apply their blood to the mix creating a beacon of energy that summons a spirit at random. Once the spirit has been summoned they are bound to the Corleik for life and replace the Corleik's item of choice with an item they held dear to them. That item transforms into a mythical weapon. This is the only time blood is involved for a summoning and the only time it can ever be done. Every other summoning after this only requires an item.

Most Corleik's first summoned spirits need to be nurtured and taken care of as well as trained in order to be a valuable asset to any Corleik in battle. However, once the Corleik and Spirit achieve a certain level of mutual respect for each other, even love, the Corleik can then conjure spirits so it can grow stronger by feeding off of their energy draining them dry, killing them. By doing this he is maturing his primary spirit and strengthening it soon creating a Spirit Templar. If the process is repeated with the same pre-requisites met then the Templar becomes a Dragoon. A Dragoon Class spirit is the second strongest spirit class there is and very few Corleik's actually possess one. Even if a newly summoned first spirit is matured enough and the affection for each other is their sometimes Templar status is the only rank that can be achieved; this is for reasons unknown. A very small circle of Corleik possess a god class spirit. Though extremely rare, not impossible to roll

7. Style
They dress very classy like. Robes, Blouses, almost as if they were all royalty. Corleik are not shallow and do not believe they are better than others they just love looking nice amd presentable. Braided hair is also a common practice as well as shaved sides.

8. Religion
They have a polytheistic religion, worshipping and serving singular gods in the pool of many acknowledging the others or worshipping the entire pool at once. They believe in an afterlife.
