The feeling of running through the forest, her feet slapping on the hard-packed earth and fallen leaves, was wonderful to Erelin Nayelle.  It was home, that's what it was, and it was beautiful.  Finally, though, she reached the edge of the forest and was in a high tree branch in an instant.  The forest on this end came to an abrupt halt at the edge of a 150-mile-high cliff, and she could see out over all the valleys and plains and rivers and lakes from here, all the way to the mountains.

She sighed contentedly, feeling at peace with herself and nature.  This was a beautiful day that nothing could spoil.  She'd played with some elven children this morning, which had been fun, after having a very private bath in the nearby river.  She'd been caught singing by another nymph and ended up laughing and talking with him.  And now she was simply enjoying nature after a good meal and a better run.  What could possibly spoil her fun?

Her answer came in the form of footsteps along her usual running path, though that didn't really spoil her fun.  Actually, as with most nymphs, she became curious.  She moved quickly through the trees and was soon watching someone.  They were just walking through the forest, not really doing anything, but she watched them anyway.  She liked to watch people.  It was an odd habit of hers, but a hobby nonetheless.  Her bare feet and scantily clad bottom rested comfortably on the massive branch she was on.  She could see a great deal of the forest from here.  Her back was comfortable against the tree, too, and she smiled.  She wondered if the person below would be friendly.  She decided to find out.

She made her way to the ground and sat down around the bend with her legs folded and her hands in her lap.  She was in the middle of the path, making sure the person saw her.  As they did, she waved and dropped her hand back into her lap as she smiled brightly and said, "Hi!  I'm Erelin the nymph, a resident of this forest!  Are you enjoying the pleasures of nature?"
