She'd been looking since before the sun had even gotten up that day. A bright white dragon, wandering through the forest...she'd worn herself out, really. Poking her nose into every cave she found, and getting chased out of a few...
That was why she was currently curled up at the base of a tree, enjoying the shade in the midday sun. Being so close to the edge of the forest, and so far from the mountains of home, made the little dragon nervous. She wasn't quite sure of what lay beyond the trees, and wasn't quite sure she wanted to find out. Hadn't Mother always told her to stick close to the mountains?
But what if Mother was out there somewhere? Seyristith had no idea where to even start looking, so she'd just followed her nose. And her sense of smell had led her out here, to the edge of the forest.
She was going to get up and start looking out there in just a moment... as soon as she got her nerve up enough.
